One of the most uplifting songs in the 80s. Loved it, danced to it and enjoyed it in the car. The 80s music is timeless and ageless, it is just as great now as it was then. I recall every walk of life, new wave crowd, pop culture or just pretty much anyone enjoyed and loved this song. It is a incredible fast paced and beautiful melody. Thank you for all the beautiful memories.

he definitely does! dead or alive is an awesome band and their other songs are criminally underrated, obv this song is easily one of the most recognizable songs on planet earth and its nearly impossible to live up to that but in my opinion the band as a whole got pretty close! as for burns’ voice it’s definitely underrated because it’s unique, he doesnt have too broad of a range like the “greats” but burns rides the rhythm like none other. as for others saying it isn’t underrated, dead or alive fans look past sale increases and decreases and see 4 young men with great talent that most people just associate with this song, its not all about sales or being “like the rest” its just good music which makes it underrated because most media doesn’t talk about the music just sales and numbers

Im a Metalhead. I will never forget hearing this one for the first time back in 85. I was cruising one night and it came on the radio. I was ejecting a cassette to play a different one and the radio came on to a station my girl listened to. I pulled over and when I heard that vocal line “I want your lo---ve.” I knew this guy had some talent. Thats a tough line to sing in key on pitch. RIP Pete Burns your song still moves people in 2023.

Yes Luke, Shane and Mike. It reminds me of a particular ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The spinning ride. My cousins Sharon and Tee used to take me on that ride as an 11 year old and myself and sister used to always work in Blackpool during school holidays and I didn't like rollercoasters going upside down but I liked spinning rides. The operators of the ride were Luke and Shane.

My mom and dad met in a club in the 80s. My mom always tells the story that my dad came up to her and asked her to dance but she didn’t want to. So he turned around but then this song came on and it was her fave so she grabbed his arm and he turned around and they danced. 30 years later they are still happily married. I love them so much and the 80s/90s has the best music.

One of my most vivid memories of this song was when I was in middle school. I was a kid and a young man in the 80s. For the most part, I loved the music and still do to this day. It was a most excellent decade, to be sure :) It had good points and bad (as there will invariably be people pointing out in a banal attempt to be clever and edgy) as all times do, but the 80's were a good time.
