This is an older video but since we got permission to share it with you guys we wanted to share this one with you since it has some pretty educational value when it comes to close quarter ambushes and proper reaction to it.
Is this a reupload? I've seen this video before but in a higher resolution
@Benny Harvey i said same thing on my ufo comment haha
It would be nice if you'd upload more even older ones that you might have
Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up
Are they actually taking any fire beyond the initial shots? Hard to tell where the sound is coming from, but doesn't seem like it
This guy is some kind of leader. Everyone else is taking cover like any sane person would and he's checking on his dudes, communicating with his leadership, and laying down hurt on the enemy. What a baller.
Thats true fearlessness hope he's still with us
Thom Curry he's called a squad leader this is routine when reacting to contact
@One Above All or TL
Now this is a leader. Gotta love or Marines Corps. God Bless these men and women who went and risk their lives for this country. GOD BLESS THE USA.
My respects to him. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
That guy who ran in front of the squad leader while he was actively shooting is either the luckiest man alive or he had a guardian angel looking over him. The squad leader would have 100% shot him except for the fact that his gun jammed at that exact moment. Insane.
Yeah I was thinking the same. Odds are if he would of been hit this video wouldn’t be public. That was close
Yeah...strange the gun was jammed
Just came here to say that!! It's incredible.
Didnt catch that his gun jammed, thought he just was really disciplined. Wow. Edit: Or.. Can actually see that he aimes to the left when this dude come running.
glad i wasnt the only one who noticed that and yeah hes the fucking luckiest man alive
Its so sad that these men fought this war for absolutely nothing.
The concern of anyone being hit is heartwarming
It really shows we are all humans after all
the trigger discipline as the other soldier crosses right in front of him is incredible
not really 😕 his gun jammed thank God
@Lostinspace4311 I actually see that now even more crazy lol
@Lostinspace4311 yes , it did jam . Guardian Angel at work
Whats incredible is his lack of muzzle discipline. Shooting over top his buddies another guy crossing in front of him. None of it good.
How does he survive? That's insane courage and leadership.
3:27 I like how calm they asked" who's shot in the head"
"Is he dead?"
"I don't think so"
Because it was an Afghan
@Juan Zeee it's us soldiers
The guy that was hit was ANA he said it on comms
@Juan Zeee cant trust them anyway
@Abu Hajar Al Bugatti too many green on blue that’s for sure
That's a typical camera man here. Straight invincible.
Got that plot armor for a hollywood movie
With the exception of this rebel gal in Colombia a few years ago, gal was walking and screaming while her guys were shooting while under cover, eventually her luck ran out and she got fucking nailed straight to her chest, she managed a few curses before her blood came out gushing like a river.
@Alexns Silent yea nobody asked
@Yung Envy someone asked?????
The soldier filming has a good, calm first reaction. He responds with gunfire while still sitting, lowers rifle when his buddy runs past without looking, clears a jam in his rifle, and the first words that come out of his mouth before he moves to cover is “Anybody hit?”
That was lucky that guy had a Jam. Otherwise was friendly fire overthere.
It's very impressive how under so much pressure, these soldiers are still able to cooperate
This a real leader he deserve all the ranking people like him are very hard to find he was willing to take all risks for his friends much respect
lol the dude getting stung by bees is having his own battle
Timestamp?
@『 Kyousey 』 around 1:57 is complaining about the bees then you can see then flying around later
@Vaporblast advanced tailban robotics no bees.
That would fucking suck. Middle of a point-blank firefight, get swarmed by bees, go into anaphylactic shock.
what min
The soldier standing up firing while the other members take cover seems incredibly invincible. He's literally standing and shooting! For a second I wondered if this was training practice or a simulation. Either way this takes a lot of guts that most people don't possess.
Ok but more than twice i ueard bullets going reAlly close
He’s their leader. They’re his men and his responsibility
Single handed fights off the ambush, covers his men, wrecks the enemy, goes back towards the enemy to pick up a dropped frag.
Same guy "Ow, sticky bushes." I love that guy!
You know we lost right ?
He is the cameraman so he's basically immortal
There's a bunch of critics in the comments but as an Infantryman I can tell you that these boys reacted quickly and correctly in that moment. Returned fire got cover or concealment and communicated well. It could have went terrible. War is hell! Follow me!
Should I continue the process of becoming an Infantryman?
@NCRRanger16 you are the only one who knows if you're ready for it.
@Craig Staley alright.
@Craig Staley are you glad personally that you signed up?
@NCRRanger16 absolutely
Crazy brave, rushing between cover to make sure his mates are still alright, and standing up fully to engage with the 40, shit's crazy. Massive props to this hero!
yeah very brave invading others country
is it just me or does anyone else get that sinking feeling when the soldier runs past the firing muzzle of the camera guy. just think how close he was to a blue on blue
Thankfully his brother saw his movements. Never been to war but I'm sure its absolute chaos
Benny Harvey it is
Yeah. Why homie is firing from behind the line is beyond me.
@Rick Gregory 100% pure armchair tactician/POG comment right here.
Good trigger discipline and good perception of his surroundings, this guy is great.
This dude with the cam is a God damn warrior. Idk what's happened to him since, but this is what he was born to do.

He was killed in action.
The way these guys jumped right into battle mode at the beginning was awesome! Great training. Thank you for your service!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
*that’s enough fucking slices*
But still they lost and Afghan Taliban won 😂
They are cowards lol
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@Jahangir Akbar the Taliban won through political means. They procured a peace agreement witht the ISAF and then toppled the Afghan Government when the ISAF pulled out. The ISAF controlled Afghanistan for over 20 years. Meanwhile the Taliban hid in the mountains and ran into Pakistan anytime they took contact. The Taliban actually killed more Afghans than they did the ISAF.
Now I convince when someone carrying a camera never dies. This is the power of being a cameraman
Mis respeto Para este soldado .
Only in Afghanistan do you get attacked by a wasp during a firefighter.
And Mexico
Dude you actually kidding me? These guys are killing and getting killed. And then you make a joke about it.
@Pixlegamerxd4 perhaps
Here comes the snowflakes
YOu cAn PrOtEsTt
Thank you for your service this is one of the most intense firefighters I’ve seen the enemy couldn’t of been more than 100 to 150 m away
And they still didnt hit like always
@Abu Hajar Al Bugatti man you replied him after 1 year
@الجهاد._.F I D 3 U x so what I also reply to 8 yesr old comments
@Abu Hajar Al Bugatti lol really i havent found too much old comments ever
My goodness😬 at 0:20 the awareness and discipline to not have a friendly fire incident is incredible
There was 0 awareness and 0 discipline. His gun jammed you can literally see him unjam it afterwards. He 100% pulled the trigger on his teammate but it jammed
God that must've been terrifying. So calm, so peaceful, then boom, the next guy next to you drops on the floor.
2:34
.... Why does the sun have a hole?
What a brave soldier this guy is team leader for sure they’re all brave don’t get me wrong this guy takes control he deserves a promotion
Dude is tuned in. Not only did he not shoot his brother when he ran in front of his muzzle but to be able to put rounds down range, explosives and also check on his guys. Kinda guy I’m glad is on our side!!
My man didn't get down once and moved around and shot at the enemy. He just spat in death's face and went about his day
Experience
Almost put his teammates at risk by firing too close and over them imho
@Stu_Lopher teammates? This isn’t a video game they are down you want him to only shoot if he’s on the high ground away from his unit?
@Stu_Lopher the guy clearly stopped firing just in time on purpose
They re trained soldiers, not airsoft nerds.
its called a squad leader
this is routine when in contact
This dude was suppressing the enemy by himself what a warrior
The qr of these guys when that fire opened up is very impressive. They reacted very well. This video teaches a lot of good qualities to have and learn in cqc. Much respect to these boys and there families.
I'm following his lead just watching on T.V. years later. If every team leader was like this one... We would have a fully functional all volunteer military overflowing with amazingness like himself. Atta boy!
Respect to all those guys they all stayed calm as they’re getting shot at and the guy in the front I see people in the comments criticizing he stayed out of cover you know why because he was trying to maintain visual on the enemy so he could make the best decisions for his men by risking his own life great leadership / concern for men .this video was crazy inspirational respect to all those guys those guys are the ones that are tough those guys are heroes
No respect for the agents of the looters and colonisers
God bless out troops🇺🇸🙏
This is a good demonstration of a good soldier! Leading by example, not asking his guys to do things he isn't willing to. Taking the most dangerous positions while staying calm and simple direction. Also a lot of luck that no blue on blue happened or call it whatever you want.
Спокойствие? Да он в штаны наложил и чуть своего не убил.
Серьёзно думаешь это пример для подражания?))))
Everyone is lying on the ground and this guy is running around kicking ass! Haha love it.
He almost killed TWO of his men!!!! We almost witnessed friendly fire!!
@CitizenCOY Well it didn't happen, so yeah
Dude does have a set of brass ones... but I can't help thinking how easily he could have created a lot of work for his guys as a casualty. Other than that, bravo, he's definitely one who squeezes the most adrenaline possible out of a scene :-)
Am I the only one that day dreams about a moment like this 😭 like I been wanting to be a soldier in combat since I was 1 year old
This guy's got balls of steel! Respect looking out for his ppl!
Impressive reaction and response. Impressive leadership too. USA pride!
Complete disregard for cover, using multiple weapons, doing most of the shooting... This guy is so high level he carries the whole team.
He was using an M4 and an M320. That’s standard equipment for a light anti-armor soldier. Doesn’t make him badass. Also, the disregard for cover is the opposite of badass.
@Matthew Jones You need more XP to understand the reference.
@LurkerAnonymous Let me guess, you play COD and you make it your entire personality.
@Matthew Jones Nope. But at least I have one.
F
@LurkerAnonymous Oh no! He said “F!” That means that my entire argument is invalid!
Happy Veteran's Day you guys. Thank you so damn much for your service.
Thank you for your service!
Now in hell for attacking my civilians and innocents and ran like a coward
You can't win the war against those who love to die as you love life
Is the guy recording a squad leader? I hope he is. Its awesome to see him fighting while simultaneously keeping his situational awareness up. I also like the way he doesn't have to repeat himself. After he recovers whatever it was he went to get he told the other two guys to move over and cover down and they did it with no hesitation. I know our military is one of the best if not the best in the world, but to watch this and be able to see the bigger picture is fucking awesome. Good luck and thanks to all our brave men and women in uniform. You'll always have my respect and admiration.
After all these years of seeing this video I still pucker so hard on the initial hit from the ambush and him almost slotting two guys on that bridge.
That was a intense firefight. That soldier wasn't taking any cover. He was a wide open target. For the insurgents. True American Hero's...
Looks like he's the only one in the fight, everyone else is takin cover.
He must be fresh out of OSC school, I really hope he has luck on his side and get advice from the more experience troops, because the way he leads he's either going to get killed first or many members of his Squad.
Yea look's that way. But I wouldn't be out in the open. During a intense firefight like that. He's a sitting duck
Rather put rounds down range than end up pinned.
@Paul Evans Never get in a foxhole with anyone braver than yourself.
Made me tense up when he started shooting, I thought he was gonna hit one of his guys, but he stopped in a split second, my hats off to these guys, dude checked on the boys and stayed up covering fire
2:03 In the middle of the firefight dude starts getting stung by bees, that just sucks lol
The bees are part of taliban?!
@ dhdhndndbd no they angry because their nest got hit
@blindg0blin_ youre wrong, theyve recruited the hive...
@ dhdhndndbd hahah rough situation for sure... h
@ dhdhndndbd talibee
Очень грамотные действия командира группы 🔥👍😎
Bro ain’t even flinch when rounds started coming in. Badass.
Everyone saying that “his rifle jamming saved his troop’s life” need to review the video again. He held his fire as his troop crossed and the following shot had a failure to eject. Trigger discipline. Not luck.
That split second duck for cover was neat sweet awareness, and the go pro commando is a Killa for real, he was loving every peace of action professionally.
Move, Shoot, and communicate. Solid Work
comedy show .... one-way shooting 😆😅😄😃😂😂
Shoot, move and communicate. In that order!
@АК not funny
@Sr. Hughes 🙄🤔😆😅😄😃😂😁 it's only for you..
@АК more emojis and ill have to arrest you for cringe, sir
this dude was carrying the whole team
00:20 that fire discipline deserves a medal of honor!
No discipline at all. Gun jammed. Both of them made HUGE mistakes and the only reason he didn't shoot his teammate in the back is because his gun jammed at that exact moment.
@JamesT to be fair he did move his gun but yes, it did jam
he jammed
@Gambit he started moving it to clear the malfunction after realising it wasn't shooting
“Who’s shot in the head?!”
“Is he dead?!”
I don’t think so..
Chilling
love how once theres a break in the fire you hear a guy go "HOO HOO HOO! :D" in excitement. ive heard veterans say they found combat fun and now i really believe it
combat is the most fun you will ever have.. you will never feel more alive then when you are being shot at.
@Soup's World yeah being alive must be a a very posititve feeling when you are one minor inconvience away from death
Long moments of boredom followed by intense moments of adrenaline. It's not hard to believe
Wait, Santa is in the marine?
This is the reason why we say cameraman never die .
I dead 🤣🤣
unless their tali or isis, you see them die all the time
Even the aliens wanted to see how this ambush would play out.
I noticed that to, I can't figure out what the hell that small black mass is in front of the sun around the 2:30 mark!
@Ryan Blasphemous its the camera not being able to process that level of brightness, could be defected or simply an issue of that cameras time. It all depends on the censor, CMOS censors are known for causing black pixels when overexposed and depending on how hot it was during the ambush (its afghanistan so probably hot as fuck) it could have been a factor in causing the black pixels.
@Jamsheed RPG GOD well now I know, thx bro!
@Jamsheed RPG GOD yeah the video is old and the camera too
Yeah I was like wtf... But the black dot is the sun itself
God bless our troops and veterans. You are our hero’s. It’s a dream to be one of y’all one day protecting.
same, i hope to join air force one day and pilot an A-10
@AT4InTheHumvee then u will also run like a bog from Vietnam and Afghanistan😂😂😂😂
@AT4InTheHumvee I personally want to go through AFROTC and hopefully get a pilot slot to become an F-16 or F-35 pilot.
seeing this video in this day and time it makes you think about how many lives could have been saved if we would have had drones like they are using today in the current war
I know I just keep saying it, but this guy is badass. I wouldn't have tried any of those intensely courageous maneuvers he made even if I was just playing paintball
I get so nervous for the camera man in every combat footage. Everyone else hits the deck while he’s standing and drawing fire having the risk of getting hit. Respect 🫡
Hats off to the soldiers for remaining really calm though they shouting it is very good to see that no one is stunned must be a lot to take in when ur life is on the line
It’s crazy how many times his rifle jammed specially in a zone of fire
Surely he’s fired 500-600 rounds out of it without cleaning maybe more or less
If he had a bcm.. this would happen but theyequipe them with crappy Bush masters and colts..
He's using those shitty magazines
The guy sucks. He almost shot his own dude then couldn't load his rifle
Its normal to the rifle got jammed
Jesus, this due is amazing, hes a bad ass and apparently has the unlimited grenade code for his launcher.
He is brave
Afghanistan is your graveyard Crowds
Please be safe always US SOLDIERS 🥰.. U all did a big effort just for the country I will salute u all!!..love yah all that's a good job..❤️
I remember when I was younger, I thought being in the army was easy. But a couple years back I watched a horrifying video of a one-sided massacre between the U.S patrolling in Afghanistan or something like that. Made me rethink and notice how trained soldiers are.
Which side got massacred?
@Ayo Deji U.S Special Forces. It was a documentary that I watched for my social studies class. I have no idea what it's called but maybe I can try to find it for you.
@Clink -lol yes please. Please drop the link if you do
@Ayo Deji No worries. I'll make sure to link it to you once I find it.
aam waiting for link too
One man army right there for sure!! Pure instinct
اللهم أنصر إخواننا المجاهدين في كل مكان
Aamiin
2:02 "I'm getting stung by fucking BEES!!"
☠️☠️ That is 100% my luck in a situation like this.
Lol he thought he was shot😂
Its Called Karma...🙋
Rather get stung by bees than bullets (unless he was allergic then I would understand moving)
The fact he was shouting that giving his position away shows how inexperienced he is
The guy with the body cam has balls of steel, we humans become amazing beings when we're determined to acomplish a mission. Even though i don't really support the military that much, i have to give respect when respect is due, not everybody is made for this.
Your a legend if you get out alive in the war of Afghanistan 🇦🇫
Man at 0: 20 is the luckiest man alive, don't know if he had survived the battle, at that exact moment, the gun jammed...
Reminds me of my time in the Army. Wasn't that bad but still scary
Dude with the camera on his Helmet is a boss…they need a couple more of him in the squad
Observations:
1. The initial moments of this engagement make it clear how easily a friendly fire incident can take place.
2. From early on, it seemed to me like the camera wearer was dealing with a lot of exposure to not have much of any covering fire.
This is heroic in many outstanding ways. Now imagine a Medal of Honor
This Soldier is way too brave... Salute
Thank you to all who served during this war...your sacrifice will not be forgotten by US.❤️🙏💪🇺🇸
They took years and trillion dollars to replace taliban by taliban
S
And they failed badly
This guy is insane, that is a warrior, he is the only one fighting, this dude it’s not playing around, that should be a Purple Heart 💜
do you even know what a Purple Heart is awarded for??
Truly brave and effective soldiers. Proud of our armed forces and thankful for them all!
But they lost in Afg🥺😅
@sardar awais khan You gotta give it to the Afghans. They sure do know how to hide.
Thankful for what?
Admin : Lots of lessons to learn from this video about CQC, how to handle pressure in gunfights, military tactics etc etc.
People : Look, a UFO on the Sun
in real life, it works. In a game like Battlefield, the Taliban would have come around the corner and just handed out head shots. 😂😁
Si lo vi en varias oportunidades
I saw two people freeze up too. That's the thing that worries me. Those rounds go through the walls too don't they. I'm really thankful those terrorists couldn't shoot well
Right
I'm a 3 tour combat vet of Iraq. I LOVE THAT ZIP SOUND WHEN THEY FIRE BACK... LOVE A FIREFIGHT!!!
Haha fucking hardwired, man!
Helmet cam soldier is first class, not only does he avert a blue on blue during first contact but he proceeded to take command of the situation in a calm controlled manner. The soldier who crossed his muzzle needs to be spoken to about discipline as he could have killed himself and, depending on the first guys reaction, could have caused chaos among his own men 🤔 Good work from camera guy 👍👍🏾🖕🏿🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
cameramen are always immortal😅
his reflexes were very good, he studied a lot on this scenario, so his training was done a lot, he was very successful.
but still has flaws. For example, heavy machinery did not work, fog was not used while retreating, the team commander remained standing long.
Too much time was lost on the bridge, they could have placed explosives on the bridge, and most of the explosives and mines are placed in the bridge culverts and pathways. But like I said has flaws but well educated
did you notice how if it weren't for his gun jamming his friend probably would've been shot 0:19
Only those can understand who are in this hard mission 😢 god bless you all ❤❤
Que guerra longa !
Desde 2002.
Nunca pensei que isso poderia acontecer.
0:20 Super fast reflex, covering fire till enemy stops firing. This dude is literally a legend
I think he jamed
تبا له انه تكتيك لاجل ضهور مصدر العدو ورفاقه ينقضو عليهم
Cool jiggle
The sun looks amazing through that lens! Also, I like how the cameraman is the only one running and gunning, and everyone else is hiding behind the wall, and telling him to get his head down.
Dude wearing a Cam is an absolute beast !! Jeez feel like hes the only one reacting
Incredible muzzle discipline by the POV to, not only react to contact by suppressing fire, but to also lay off the trigger when a teammate's reaction was to cross his line of fire. Incredible team member, incredible awareness
Are you kidding? The gun jammed, and shooting over your friends head should result to him in jail. It was pure luck that he didn't shoot his friend.
@GuitarJacob123 LMAO "JAIL"
@За Монолит Any sane army usually has a 90 degree total forbidding of shooting, meaning you can never shoot if a friend is within 90 degree (45 each side) of fire angle. What happens is the video is an insanely stupid risk that could have killed the entire squad and is the exact opposite of muscle discipline.
@GuitarJacob123 shit changes when you have nowhere to take cover and have 2 choices,
Choice A, stand there and be shot dead by taliban.
Choice B, rush to cover, even though your homie is shooting,
My point being, in the fog of war, there is not time to react rationally, I get that you train for this sort of issue, but sometimes its as simple as standing in the wrong spot, or shooting to keep the enemy down so he doesnt kill you even as your friend is running in front of you. Its war, shit happens. Aint gonna go to jail though lol
@За Монолит The US troops usually have like 1 month of weaponstraining. Would never happen in a sane army. It's instint and is taught from day one, every day, all day. Have never seen this problem happen to any other army than the US or some third world country.
This guy is bad ass.that lot were lucky to have him there as he ran the show and did it perfectly.Good job sir 🙏💯🌍
He seemed to be fighting the Taliban alone. I mean the fire control he did when his fellow soldier ran in front of his muzzle just speaks volumes! This guy is definitely a one-man warrior!
Gun jammed bro. That was actually God.
"god I'm getting stung by fucking bees" LMAO what a situation
신속하게 대응하는 것만봐도 경험과 훈련이 아주잘되있는듯
Просто стрелок был плохой, можно было всех положить спокойно за это время. Место хорошо просматривается.
Some goddamn warfighters, immediately got down, and got fire superiority. And the man with camera is a true leader checking on his men and being able to assess the situation and tell his men what to do to keep them safe. Good job guys
This man recording is a beast you can tell it's not his first rodeo
how the guy filming didn't accidentally shoot his team mate who cut left in front of him is a miracle
