being completely abstinent is like trying to be perfect and that is an idea we simply cannot live up to! we are not perfect beings! also if you limit yourself to beliefs of relapse then it is easier for it to happen. the decision is always in your hands. but im telling you weed is nothing to be afraid of, and i've got some in my van if you wanna dab it up

I dunno what else needs to happen to her for her to change. She was given another chance in life and yet she remains the same. I dunno what lessons they're trying to convey here. Until she fully accepts and FORGIVES her past, she can't truly move on. Everything stems up from our childhood and past experiences. Demi is an example of a person who is so selfish that she does not have the time to look at how she is affecting everyone around her. If she only spends more time doing charity works, helping others, getting out of the US and going to third world countries where poverty is real, then perhaps she'd understand that she is sooooooo privileged to live her life.

Rather than smoking and drinking I think psychedelic therapy could work for her & her struggle with addiction. Micro dose on Psilocybin or LSD

It has been such an honor to be included in Demi's recovery throughout the years. Unless you've suffered from trauma, mental illness, or substance abuse, you can't understand the crippling emotional pain you face from it and how soul-crushing recovery is. She is so strong. What Demi is doing with moderation is called harm reduction. It is a method used often in substance abuse recovery to allow the client to have agency in their life. Whether Demi stays with weed and alcohol or if she relapses with hard drugs, for now, this is the choice she is making for herself - which is the only way recovery works. If she has a relapse, that is her lesson to learn. There are no mistakes in recovery, just lessons.

I will forever applaud a drug addict finding recovery, and being as open and honest as she has been. HOWEVER.. like they said.. not everybody, in fact, hardly ANYBODY has the resource's she has. And that's the issue here. I wish we, as normal people, had the option of "exploring our paths". We don't. We have to work shitty jobs and wait months for shitty beds in shitty recovery centers. We don't get retreats.. my anger isn't with her obviously. It's at the system in general. Prayers for the addicts still struggling ❤️

Her romantic relationships are juvenile. But I respect her for continuing to drink and smoke weed. I dealt with my sobriety the same way. I smoke weed and I will have a drink randomly if other people are drinking. But like... I'm not smoking meth.

As a recovered Ed person I think she talks too much about having control of food and substance, and recovering is just the opposite: letting go of control. And so I tell you, u don't recover from an ed in a year, ever. I still am afraid for her. Yes she's brave but she needs to know there is no day off and having a lot little moments off on recovery becomes a relapse.

Moderation? She has done 3 documentals about recovering for addiction and she is doing worse everytime. What is making her think that she will stop doing it smoking marihuana? as Elton Jhon said if take a pill you will want to take another one and it goes the same with any kind of addiction. I don't think this is something that people that has struggle with addition should follow. She is just making excuses of her actions. She did it because she wanted it. That's it! It's not for other people, it's because she wants it.

    what a great documentary

    HOLOGARDEN 12 hours ago

You know what, I'm a recovering addict. And I smoke weed , it helps me not want to use crystal meth. When I'm not smoking weed, I'm drinking . Alot. With some addicts, its always gonna be one thing or another. Can we all just at least be happy shes smoking weed and choosing that instead of crack and heroin. Because take it from me, weed and stimulants don't mix well. When I smoke weed, there isn't an inch of me that wants to graduate to meth. It feels like enough for me. I'm impressed with how she's able to finally control the narrative of her story like cristina said.

      HOLOGARDEN 12 hours ago

The drinking is risky. One turns to another. Drinking always makes me want to graduate to relapsing on meth because it makes me depressed.

@youtube do you think you could maybe read the room and not attach weight loss commercials every 5 minutes to this documentary???? Demi's whole story is partially centered around eating disorder recovery and restriction and you're really out here thinking it's chill to have your ads saying stuff like "are you still fat, no matter how hard you try to lose weight? Something is wrong". SMDH
