Anybody can easily see how Jimmy’s movements were severely weakened after the ankle injury in New York in Round 2. Josh Hart ruined a generational and historical playoff run that Jimmy Butler was on. One could only imagine how much better the finals would have been if Jimmy’s ankle was in at least decent condition.

They lead the league this season for most clutch wins under 4 mins. Most of their wins this season are also close 32 wins. Spo said it an interview that these close wins really help the Heat what they became in the playoffs. Sometimes blowout wins will help you and those kind of close games on the season make them clutch. Leading the most comebacks this season including playoffs. They don't care about the score they just keep playing and they a great coach to do that. Heat always win in a close game. Maybe because they are so good in stops. They defend very well.

Just realized the Celtic's game 6 win was because of the refs. They added time back and gave them 3 seconds. But if you pause the foul at 3 seconds, Horford had yet to make contact with Jimmy. It was more like 2.5 seconds when they called it. Given that White got the rebound and shot off at around 0.2 seconds, the game should have been over after the missed shot.

    • King Dino Dragonite
King Dino Dragonite 4 months ago +5

The L2M report said the Heat should have a lane violation before that. Also, the 3 secs was also the right call. Celtics deserve to win that game

mIts so crazy to think that the Heat losing to the Hawks in the first play-in game turned out to be a blessing in disguise. If they faced the Celtics in the first round instead of the ECF I don't think they beat them in the first round. But as the playoffs went on Miami got hotter and hotter, which gave them the confidence of beating a Celtic team that was favored to return to the NBA Finals. Definitely a legendary run for the 2023 Heat 🔥

Jimmy Butler is one of those high-caliber players that every team DREAMS they had. He's not showy, he doesn't throw up his hands to the refs, he seeks out contact, and when his shots aren't falling he involves his teammates to get their offense rolling again. Back when I first started watching basketball as a kid, I revered players like Alan Iverson and Kobe Bryant, the ones who showed up in big moments and left their stamp on the game. I think Jimmy will be that figure to kids now, due to his work ethic, intensity and heart. Seeing all the highlights like this in sequence leaves me just shaking my head. I know it's not just Jimmy who has carried this Heat team to the Finals, but he is the catalyst to set the whole thing in motion. I know that Denver are some stiff competition, but if he can find that one last reserve of energy for this series, he could pull off another improbable feat. I'm so pumped to watch them play tonight!

You think Boston would've gave y'all a tougher matchup than the Heat ? You're sadly mistaken. Miami is the best TEAM in the league. I say TEAM not about individual talent but about working as a unit, coaching staff and everyone knowing their role. I respect Denver too because they are also one of the best teams with the best player in the league and they don't play selfish basketball. This series should be fun.

Holy cow the Heat are amazing - this coming from a raptors fan. Just goes to show it don’t matter how well u rank in the season - u Gotta show up in the playoffs otherwise it all means nothing.

I still think Heat are gonna beat the nuggets, they are mentally tougher and has more guys who will give their last drop of blood to win the trophy. Sometimes its more will power than talent

Lost their way from 6-8 in the last stretch of the season. Good thing the role players saved the whole thing and against the game plan made it interesting.

That's why Jordan said ' you can win 82 games in the regular season but you put them aside, Playoffs is Playoffs.' An 8th Seed team at the NBA Finals. Go Heat ♥

The Bucks look silly for firing Budenholzer immediately after the series, only to see their opponent make the Finals weeks later and it doesn't look so bad
