A great game to get a great "hi chat 👋"
Dude is everywhere I go 🌝
@bender rodriguez 😆😆😆😆😆👍
Dam I can’t find any intelligent life on earth- alien
If Anyone In These Replies Are Serious We Are Doomed.
@Coleby Charlton Obviously, lol, wtf
He respected your game. That's a compliment and a half. You could just tell from the start that he was thinking 20 steps a head. Guy's a genius
@Graham Comstive: She's a woman who actually kicked a genius' arse in one chess game.
@malicious intent but also a true one
@Clark Potter what have u contributed then lol. Not even to chess!!! Not even to engineering stuff lolll
@Skater Stimm just because you're good at chess, doesn't mean you're gonna be good at other things, just like fps games; it always depends on the game
His mood dramatically improved when he realized she can actually play.
@Phoenix A V She literally mentions something they talked about in a previous encounter in the video.
I mean she is a not a GM but still a well know player. Pretty sure Magnus knows who she was from the get go.
Everyone is talking about how fast Magnus moves his pieces but I'm stunned by the fact that shes able to hold her own and actually push the literal no. 1 person in the game for over 6 minutes. That's a huge W
@āditya ārya How so?
lmao not no 1
@HispanTrap Music she could've won, horse could get tower in split around the highlighted time area
That's what so said
... Are you stunned by that? She's a 2100+ elo rated women's FIDE master with multiple GMs in her family. You're selling her short by being "stunned" by it.
Anna: "Is this just losing if I go back?"
Magnus: "Yea. . . but it's also losing if you do other things"
Hilarious
Three very cool things: 1 - you got to play Magnus. 2 - you did REALLY well against the world champion. 3 - he turned up to play in the park !
You guys play chess faster than I decide what to put on my toast...
Sometimes i feel like a slow thinker but when i watch these guys i'm sure i am.
Thank you that fits me so well
@IamNotJazper YTBEDWARSSS
Don't rush the toast. Anyone can go Queens gambit. It takes something special to choose grape or raspberry jam.
@ArtisticBacon u know him?
The raw speed at which he sees moves multiple steps ahead is beyond belief. It's as if he has every game ever played in a memory and can see every possible outcome. He's impressive to watch as he never breaks his outward emotion during a game.
@mgpvii ok.
@JJWalker Nope, it was the first Harry Potter movie.
@mgpvii that's what I was trying to explain. Also I think the movie was Queen's Gambit
He does have every game in memory, watch his videos he can tell you the setup is the same as some game from a long time ago.
That's basically how the brain works after gaining experience and forming patterns
Playing against a world champion in a casual game must be such an exhilarating honor
@Jorge82mk2 Animations damn
To be fair playing them in a casual setting is probably the only setting to play them in
Magnus is such a great sport. It is one thing to be the best, but to be the best respectfully, well, that's another thing entirely. This was really nice to watch.
He complimented her multiple times. That's a W in my book!
Its because she is pretty 🤓
He's a very nice guy. Unless you're a cheater.
This guy is pretty good. He might even be able to tell us how the knight moves.
What's a knight?
What's a knight?
@angel alviar what a genius you are 🤦♂️
the knight moves in L
😄👍🏼
You got an “this is hard” and a “oo, good move” and a “you’re playing better than my liking” out of him!!! That’s a victory in my book.
That’s chess players flirting
Also an “ oh boy this is not easy “
This was a speed game, not tournament timing.
And a yeah this is a good defence
Its nothing bruh
U must put some commentary over things to not be boring or having a boring atmosphere! Don’t be delusional for god’s sake 😂😂😂
Watching these two play chess is like listening to two people speak a foreign language to me 😂
Как русский, не говорящий на английском, категорически подтверждаю!🤣
@Herschel Squirts Yeahyeah, I got that. This was just an anecdote😊 I do not catch the chess talk either😅
@Queenfan99 I get what you’re saying, my point however is that I don’t understand chess at all. But I still find this entertaining 😂
Funfact: they do not speak to each other in their lingua franca, either. Since Cramling is Swedish, they would 99% certianly speak with each other in swedish and norwegian respectively, were they in private (swedish and norwegian is mutually intelligeble). That's what we do when we meet swedes (I'm Norwegian)
This is not how I would have imagined a chess game between two really good players to go, it's so chill
It's chill because he easily beats her... the difference between them is like comparing a bicycle with a Ferrari.
I love how popular chess has become in the mainstream. It's great to see so many amazing players.
What amazes me is just how fast Magnus is. Legit every move made so quickly.
He's the blitz champ sooo yeah
Him and Hikaru put the bullet in "bullet chess"
Wow, he knows everything that is going on at every second. Amazing how someone can see the entire board like that.
All the grandmasters can do that.
I like that this is our world champion, someone with a good sense of humor and who is not so serious, he even makes jokes in the middle of the game, he completely breaks the stereotype of a calm chess player who just spends his time in silence studying
the stereotype is more interesting
I was the 19k like
@KANGAROO32 you just be joking
@youuuuuuuuuuutube me too, such negative view on player who wannabe serious on their game
@Scuffed Marshmello ikr lol
It was so cool that you asked him about d4 vs e4. It always thought d4 was his favorite because I think he plays it slightly more than other openings.
That was fun to watch. Both players trying to win, but mainly just relaxed and having fun.
Magnus wasn’t trying to win lol.
i love how casually you both were talking shows so much skill & seeing magnus play like this is nice
Hes so happy to teach opponent how to beat his current position because he can instantly adapt
When you're competing against the person who is literally the best at something *in the whole world* , and they tell you you're "doing a little too well for my liking"...I'd say that's a victory in and of itself.
@JRP in the video he said himself that he was struggling 🙂
@Sqc He didn’t struggle with her lol, he realized he actually was facing someone who could play solidly
@Nyxiel he was though 🙂
@Sqc sorry but in the video the win was obvious long time before the end, so he was not struggling at all
@Sqcyou didn’t know him well then
He seems like he would be a great teacher, the way he is giving her advice during this match.
There's never been a more down to earth champion.
@Joakim Quensel whats the problem in that lmao
@Joakim Quensel yea that was pretty funny, what's the problem
don't tell me you got upset from that single comment
Like at the press conference when Magnus and two competitors were asked who was their overall all time favourite chess player (or something like that). And Magnus reply was " That would be myself a few years ago".
u serious?
-can u say a "hi" to a chat?
- no Im good...
xDDD
The fact that you had him on the ropes just for a sec earns mad respect... That's so awesome!
Actually she never had him on the ropes... I put the game on stockfish and her position was always worse.
Wow, great video and great game. It's nice to see a world champion playing in a park with strangers. Magnus looked like a cool guy and it really felt like a bullet crash course in chess. Thanks for sharing!
He seems like a genuinely nice guy.
4:45 Anna: “is this losing if I just go back?” Magnus: “yes but it is also losing if you do other things” 😂
That's pretty much true almost no matter who he plays.
she laughed a lil bit too much actually, he even broke his smile because her laugh is not right and may give wrong impressions indeed.
Lol
Similar concept to risk it or not risking. We are going to die anyway.
Not only a genius but a gentleman with sound advice. Not like this bright young lady thought she stood a chance. But she certainly is impressive to watch. Well done. Brilliant
When you play Magnus and get a "good move" comment from him, that's a trophy all on its own.
I feel like he could coach you where best to move and still win.
Magnus is ridiculously good.
Congrats on playing him.
Lol “look for tactics” starts tapping his piece. My mind. “ That’s it! He’s trying to distract us!” 😂😂😂😂
Winners don't trick.
Same lol, noty noty tactics
They were both super charming and endearing, a joy to watch.
He's so calm, almost cocky, but still a good sport, I love it
He’s like an anime boss, who is bored for centuries until he finds a worthy enough opponent, for him to entertain himself.
@ORGANIC LIVINGand how often did magnus beat him? more than 100 times haha
One punch man? Nah, we got one chess man
one chessmate man
He was defeated by a child from India.
@ORGANIC LIVING That was one game. Does that mean that Prag is already better than Carlsen?
You made his day by how well you played and by your sweetness.. Great job, I was very impressed.
To watch this match was amazing privilege. Thank you for sharing this with us.
When Magnus said "and still no mate." He knew one was coming up. Incredible.
She's really great coz she survived much time playing chess with the world champion 🙌
His energy changed as they kept playing lol. He’s happy with his opponent
That guy has the potential to be great if he takes chess seriously.
Well...
what do u mean? he is world Champ!
@GuiltyUntil ProvenInnocent There isn't. Viswanathan Anand was World Chess Champion before Magnus and he's 53
@Ghosted 😂 I know exactly who he is.
I can’t tell if you are serious, do you even know who this guy is?
This is so good Anna… Love all the videos.. Always brings a good smile to me and the game.. Heartwarming.. Great stuff by you and Magnus here.. He was very cool and funny.. Love it… 👏👏👏👏
What an honor to play with Magnus
magnus: "im gunna win on time" 5 seconds later "look for tactics" magnus is devious.
You have played an incredible game. Thanks for this video!
1:25 "This is not easy" Wow, that is actually an amazing complement coming from the literal GOAT lol.
You got a "this isn't easy" out of him!
The incelism in this thread is tangible. Lmao
@Dee Snow lol, I bet you couldnt even MOVE those pieces that fast, the whole board would go flying..
he's talking about it from her pov haha
That's meant for her
He gave her chance🤣🤣🤣
He is so fast its amazing, and painful for everyone else playing him!
Magnus seems so kind and humble.
I like how he is slowly completely winning
That was a cool game! Both players are great sports!
Woao.. what an honor to play against him! And you girl did soooo well!!! Congrats!!!
Magnus is this weird combo between awkward and charismatic that I can't quite figure out.
Doesn't seem awkward at all
Had Elon Musk vibes
You don’t need to figure him out jut accept him for who he is as a person
I think it’s called genius 😊
Look up the halo effect.
Did you guys realize when he said there was a checkmate they made 4 moves to end the game. The guy was 4 MOVES AHEAD! 🤯
Many, many players can calculate 4 moves ahead! What IS extremely impressive was Kasparov's calculating 17 moves ahead in his famous great winning game versus Topalov in which Kasparov sacrificed numerous pieces, falling way behind materially, and then regained all the lost material and won the game brilliantly! Now that is mind-bogglingly impressive!
that mate isn’t hard to see when ur good
also it was 2 moves
He is pretty good. I hope he keeps at it and gets noticed at some point.
@Light Free huh
He is obviously only good playing random people in parks, if he was playing a Pro Chess player he would not have a chance.
Chess is a hard sport to break into the scene with
No chance he makes it
You are 100 times better than I expected really talented .
That was pretty amazing Anna…well done!
two sympatic and smart persons. it's a pleasure to watch them first and than playing chess
Magnus: "I'm gonna try to win on time now."
Anna: "But I have more time than you..."
Magnus: "Tactics, tactics, tactics. Look for tactics!"
Anna: "Okay..." [spends 37 seconds of her time looking for tactics]
Brutal mind games from the world champ!
@N J you are wrong, he won that game.
Wow. Didn't even think about that
She had better moves, IMO, and he saw it.
She could've forked to win a rook there
I don't think he meant to trick her though
Getting carlsen say it is not easy is an accomplishment
That went much better than I anticipated.
this is so fun to watch. I accidentally watched one chess video, and now I've been watching chess for the past 3-days
This is awesome. I'm not a chess player but watching you play the GOAT is awesome.
In the time that they did their first 10 moves I try to remember what every piece could do again lol
Well done, you've challenged him and you've received some good comments from him. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was great fun watching this match.
So you let him win in order to get a "Hi chat" out of him? That's class, Anna :)
Oh right she's playing the long game here.
LOL no, you misunderstood-she said “I’ll let you mate” as in go ahead and take my pawn to finish off the mate for good (instead of me resigning), and then she just reminded him to say hi at the end. She was just letting him go through the motions. But he won square and fair. She didn’t let him win. In fact she didn’t even catch what he meant by “Oh never mind, there is a mate” towards the end (which I don’t blame her for, in the heat of the moment)
But yeah it seems like 2,000+ people misunderstood what she said lol, she definitely didn’t let him win; she was actually trying hard during this match, but did good overall
As Andrea says it is "For Content" when she loses.
@Nathaly Magnus is just bored , when you been on top so long , it gets boring. Matter of fact , he's not even going to defend his 🌎 chess championship title so therefore that should tell you that he's bored with chess.
I wouldn't be shocked if he stops playing altogether and find a new hobby.
I don't know how to play, but I think you made him work a bit for that win, and he certainly had respect for you at the end. Well done.
Damn these hustlers are getting better every day
This guy could be a GM if trained well
have to admit that was a good game. you lasted longer than i would have
What's your rating???? 2200? 2300?
As I sit here watching this entertained I'm wondering how fun this would be if I knew anything about Chess
I love Anna's personality.
Smart, beautiful, sense of humor. Magnus is great 😂
Anna is ok too lol
😂omg the most alpha male comment I’ve seen in awhile
@VIDEOS: The Strongest Natty Ever are you 12 years old
lol
@Bradley she is good looking, I can see why guys like you want to give her lower rating to cope
I just love watching people who are on another level. It is like they are a different species than myself. Much respect.
You are very lucky. You had the rare opportunity to play against the best recorded chess player to ever live.
o cara joga muito mano meu Deus
I don’t play chess but, this was fascinating to watch.
I don't even play chess, I just enjoy watching these channels.
the guy played well, maybe he should try competitive chess matches
Bro Magnus Carlsen is the best chess player in the entire observable earth world champion
Women ☕
WOMAN
What did he say? 😂😂😂😂
bro it's borgov
that guy is so good and has a potential in chess
So wholesome the whole time I love it
To hang in there with the world champ as long as you did was very impressive.
If magnus plays with no pieces and 3 seconds time we've got a balanced game.
He needs to take part in tournaments
It's always fun to see Magnus in a non competitive setting. He's a funny dude
@King K ...
Wow, he cracked it in that video...
You may have lost the game, but I think you won his heart!! CONGRATULATIONS!😇
Lasting more than 2 minutes against him is a win to me
My eyes were totally on that chest board
he has mastered the game he recognizes the correct move without even thinking; the great bobby fisher said chess is a great deal and mostly memorization when you achieve a certain level
You did so good. I would have lost before my 3rd move
What’s cool is he’s actually coaching you and giving tips and whatnot.
@Patricia L " and it is only men who do it" nope.
@Stacey Gram How is this even mansplaining
@Stacey Gram lmfao more like world championsplaining
@Stacey Gram ????? 💀💀💀
@Stacey Gram In this case it's called "grandmastersplaining" and everybody watching this video should shut up and listen
He can't see the camera, but he can see the checkmates in 34 moves
Can’t believe how fast that pawn made it to the 7th
I enjoy how he tries to teach as they play.
Now imagine if he played professionally. I guess we will never know.
Buena partida Anna le aguantaste muy bien, muchos otros hubiéramos durado menos
Magnus felt like he really had fun playing. Even accepting to play against Anish without being on competition. This is the real Candidates
@𝓢𝓪𝓿𝓪𝓷𝓽 𝓖𝓪𝓻𝓭𝓮 if you watch his games then you will know which type of beast he is but i guess you don't watch his games it's shows that immature like you are good enough to judge only
Brave of her to just barge in and ask for game, I'd be way too shy to do that. But then again I can't play chess, but im Norwegian, and the rules say, if you're from Norway, your home page is always filled with Magnus Carlsen videos
Why are you making Magnus such a tryhard? That dude done several live streams completly drunk playing chess with friends just for fun
@Jacob Peters and if she did not look for tactics magnus would eat her whole
He really seems like a nice guy!
Good game guys...keep it up..... lets's bring this positive spirit....
Damn Magnus is just crazy how good he is!
