It has more of a game show aspect to it
And it's great seeing ordinary Joe's winning some money in a meaningful way. It has more of a human emotion aspect to it and you have and underdog to cheer on
High stakes poker is just rich people passing their money around between each other.

The way Tony G. roasts Hellmuth is what I live for.
What people don't realize about Tony G is that he has an incredible read. Sort of innate. Doesn't have to calculate long to know what the other player has. But I think it's overshadowed by his table talk.

LMAO Phil always cracks me up making those insurance deals.
This could not happen to a couple of players more satisfying to the audience than Hellmuth loosing to the loose canon's set.
Side note, Ike’s fold with 77 in late position was f***ing great. Loose cannon UTG isn’t as strong as it should be seeing as how he’s running outta time so his range is really wide now, but you have a call from Esfandiari and a 3bet from Tony G. Loose cannon could decide to get nutty and shove as a last ditch effort to make a profit. It’s a weird spot too, bc I’d probably call with 99 or better (plus KJs +, AQo +)

Pretty positive you're dead wrong lol. After all the abuse and steam you think he wants to double someone else up? He thinks Russ can't have a King because he bet 20k into 27k. Why would someone who wants to get called bet 3/4's pot there? (Phil even explains at 39:34) Whether intentional or not, it looked bluffy so it turned out perfectly.

I love Phil, but I agree that he took too long on that all-in hand with the Cannon. I don't think it was incredibly hard to read because 8s were the only hole cards he could have based on the action. Maybe Phil WAS stealing TV time in order to possibly make a hero call. In the end, it's hard to judge anyone when it's not your chips and rep on the line.
The Canon should have called a clock on Phil, that would have been a power play...
They should make a series of just Phil Hellmuth doing dumb shit and getting tilted lol, there's probably hours and hours of content

This is the best Loose Cannon so far. Very respectable guy who plays well. The woman is attractive and plays well too, but this guy has a lot of heart and I like his playing style
