One of the coaches did turn.
I am glad because he has a great voice.
They were all really good, unique, and talented, difficult to choose just one. I love surprises and people that don't fit the norm.
Cho the best
The German man who sang that Pumpkin-king song did a great job. Controlling your voice and breath and shifting between a melodic narrating and singing, while hitting some deep growling words...that takes skill.
The Sri Lankan man at the end, wow...just wow.
How did no one turn around for jacks lament… HOW HE WAS AMAZING
For anyone not keeping up, after winning the 2014 "The Voice of Italy" Sister Cristina Scuccia has left the nunnery and is now working on her music career.
@BsTheLadynred Crude
Wonder if she kept the outfit 😛
@Mick Loudnahhh I just looked her up and my mouth dropped. what!!!!
@Kirsty S Cristina Scuccia was also casted as Sister Mary Robert in the Sister Act musical in 2015.
@BsTheLadynred No.
Jason Jones will always be one of my favorite covers of pillowtalk. The tone and feeling he puts it a generally electric song is amazing.
Whoa 17:19 is a gem!! Very unique voice & cover. I loved every second &’wanted to hear more. 19:04, I loved his interpretation & performance of the Cyndi Lauper classic. 21:10 has awesome range , those high notes were insane. I didn’t understand a word he sang, but I enjoyed it.
agreed!! 17:19 has an AMAZING timber!
Last guy sang Russian and I was surprised how he learned it
@G Cs so your lie got exposed, got it
@That1PersonWhoCommented
TLDR
@G Cs your response to me can only be seen outside this thread, and ok, let’s entertain the idea of "rivers", which, btw, I didn’t need to look up, you & I both know it’s hard to do, and yup, you need "body" in order to do so, and since most see Clip-Share comments on the side of a vid, it’s long, no "rivers" can be seen, Reddit is the place for that where it can be seen in comments, sooo, what "image(s)" SHOULD people have seen here, on this platform? Oh yeah, cute response to my "PR" team. P.S. I opened your comments again, there isn’t even A river AT ALL, just you words, and both (before opening full comment) is about Cindi, her song, and STILL after opening, TLDR
My favorites was the phantom of the opera, pillow talk, and that last one... that was honestly amazing. The guy gave me The Weeknd vibes with his style, he kept to the song but also added his own style to it, and those high notes were so damn good.
Check out the original "Opera #2" by Vitas. He is *known* for that whistle note. It's a great song, and Vitas has done some amazing performances. He puts on quite a show.
The best ever rendition I have ever heard of a Cyndi Lauper song but I don’t always believe judges placed their knows how versatility works. He made the song even beautiful in a different level❤
@Mama Hope
>"Pretty sure he was on America's got Talent as well...
Magnus Bokn was on a Norwegian talent show called Idol, which is part of the "Idol" series that originated in the U.K. The Norwegian version is broadcast on TV 2, a station based in Bergen. He did not perform "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" on that show. The year was 2011; Magnus was 16 and without a beard. He reached the semifinals and returned in 2013. The "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" on The Voice is from 2017. What is so very impressive to me is not just the 3.5 million views, but that it was awarded 19th place in the international talent competition Olympics of Singing.
If you really enjoy his voice, he has been having great success with "Over the Sea," which he co-wrote with Jowst (Joakim With Steen). On his Clip-Share channel, he has two versions, plus a cover of Bless the Broken Road. He indeed has a great voice.
I agree! It was Brilliant! Pretty sure he was on America's got Talent as well...
Agree
Agree
Cindy Laupers version was also a cover it wasn't an original.
All of them were sooo damn good in their own way! What touches me the most is seeing how colorful music is and how much it connects us! ❤🌍
That. Damn. Nun. She gets me every time. The pure joy just belting her heart out and everyone in the crowds instant reaction gets me crying tears of happiness.
Honestly, there should be a Voice-styled show just for theatrical performances because I could watch those all night. The characterisations get me everytime!
That high note ate the end of that last guys audition was perfection
@exotic java
>"I really like his voice even though I don't understand the lyric"
I hope these lyrics and info help:
My house has been built
But I'm alone here.
The door banged behind my back.
An autumn wind is knocking on the window,
Crying over me all over again.
Thunderstorm at night
And fog in the morning.
The sun has turned completely cold.
Old pains are following one another
Let them all get together.
My house has been built
But I'm alone here.
The door banged behind my back.
An autumn wind is knocking on the window,
Crying over me all over again.
This is Fate, but
I cannot ask for anything from Fate.
I just know how the winds will be
waiting after I am gone
Another interpenetration:
My house has been built,
But I'm still alone here.
The door slammed behind my back,
The autumn wind knocks my window,
It cries for me again.
There was thunderstorm is in the night,
And there's a mist in the morning
The sun got cold long ago.
Ancient pains
Are passing by
Let everyone gather.
My house has been built,
But I'm still alone here.
The door slammed behind my back,
The autumn wind knocks my window,
It cries for me again.
It's my destiny & I can't do anything with this.
A Google Translation:
My house is finished
But I'm alone in it -
She slammed the door behind her.
The autumn wind is knocking on the window -
Crying over me again.
Thunderstorm at night
And in the morning the fog -
The sun has cooled down completely.
old pains
They go in succession -
Let everyone gather.
My house is finished
But I'm alone in it...
She slammed the door behind her.
The autumn wind is knocking on the window -
Crying over me again.
This is fate, but I can't fate
I'm asking for nothing.
Only I know how after me -
The winds will howl.
These lyrics are translated, but I somehow prefer the Russian version. There are videos of Vitas singing Opera #2 with English lyrics subtitles. That might also help.
The original song is written and performed by Russian artist, Vitaliy Vladasovich Grachev, known professionally as Vitas. He is known for his ability to sing very high notes, with almost six octaves in range, based on B1 - B#7, however the B#7 was for whistling. The highest singing note I have heard is C#6. His range has grown since he first started becoming popular in the early 2000s. Few others have attempted to cover Opera #2, but some have such as Hirran Omkaar. Possibly due to the competition, Vitas now has recorded a new version that extends the highest notes just a tiny bit.
In some performances Vitas is dressed in as strange or as Alien as anyone could get, and in others, he appears to be dressed no different than you would expect Tony Bennet to look.
Vitas sings a pretty wide range of music, and I would suggest checking out as many of his songs as possible.
I really like his voice even though I don't understand the lyric
Jason Jones… Que maravilha!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
maravilhoso! que timbre bonito! incrivel
Love him!
Qg
Magnus Bokn... I don't understand why not all judges turned around. He's got a very interesting voice!
So amazing!! My first thought was: Tracy Chapman!
I love that rendition of nightmare before Christmas. That was a freaking risk, but it was awesome. 🎉
Vc é sensacional !!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Phantom of the Opera has always been my favorite movie and always will be. The reason I learned to sing to begin with as an infant. When he came out singing All I ask I WAS INSTANTLY IN LOVE. THE TONE, THE ENUNCIATION. IT GAVE EVERYTHING. Ill be a die hard stan for that man now T^T
Hiram Omkaar!!!! Wow, you don't hear that kind of range, without losing pitch or power very often. Totally blended chest and head notes. Fantastic!!!
Just proves you can’t judge a book by its cover.
Everyone of them was amazing.
Hermosa voz 😍😍😍
Jack's Lament was PERFECT!!!!!
Patrick has true Broadway vibes in his voice.
OMG, the opera by Vitas!!! He sang like he speaks Russian fluently, I was in shock while listening to him. Its one thing to sing a song beautifully on your own language, but to sing it so perfect in a completely different language 🤐
Outstanding performance, bravo
@Scarlet fox да уж)
В каком шоке была я, когда услышала эту песню со Шриланки😯😯😯😯😯😯
@Akasha Spiritus Understandable, with his accent it does sound a bit Italian, especially if you are not tuned to hear Russian words. The guy did outstanding job. :)
While the judges said it was Italian… x’D
OMG...the Catholic sister...wow! So totally unexpected and brave of her. I applaud her 👏🏿🏆❤🇿🇦
@Juan Rodriguez lol 🧢
She won the season😅
She killed it lol
@jacob trahan Your passion will fish you out. It will find you even if you are hiding under a rock and it will pull you out kicking and screaming. I love that her fellow sisters went to support her.
She left the nun life was not her calling
I loved Patrick Bulluck - he sang it on point! I dont get the judges :(
If that was the metal guy then I totally understand why they didn’t turn around. A singer who growls like that need to take extra care about their voice or later in life they won’t have much left of it and that guy have NOT taken any precautions to that. It can be heard clearly when he speaks normally, it’s not good.
It’s better the judges turn around to a person who actually knows how to take care of their voice.
I do...its crazy
Crazy....
germans :)
The Prince Ali made me full on grin ear to ear. Fantastic
Jason Jones was the best for me. That voice came from deep within. Amazing talent 🏆❤🇿🇦👏🏿
okay, chris james had so much personality and charisma with his stage presence. no wonder the crowd loved him, i loved his performance too
I was obsessed! I'm like how are they not Turning around!!! They're missing the performance!
That last guys voice and control skills were mindblowing.
21:07 Hiram Omkaar sings “Opera #2” by Vitas (Sri Lanka, 2021) Oh my god! What a fabulous voice 😍🤩👏👏👏
Just Brilliant, brilliant 🎉💖🎉
Wills reaction to pillowtalk guy was priceless he was so good loved his voice .
The sister vibing to the heavy metal band was just the best
I donot either. May be the daughter too. But the next song was the nun, was vibing too! Both very favourites of my choice.
She left the nun life was not her calling real fact no joke
@Amanda Parker Adams Time? There's no nun vibing to metal.
@Sam Loves Coffee The nun.
The last singer was freaking phenomenal
Russian song)
Agree 👍
Absolutely 🎶
Yes!
I LOVED theJack Skellington's pumpkin king song. I cant believe the judges didn't respond to that
Interesting choice of material, but not a very good or interesting voice IMO.
That's why I don't like these shows... So much talented people on the stage and the judges have no ears for the voices or eyes for the reaction of the crowd. Very sad...
germans
Maybe in a country other than Germany it would have worked.
Jason Jones with Pillow Talk was my Favorite. Raw Talent right there. Beautifull and Unique Voice indeed
Haizea Gomes got such an amazing voice reminding me of disney princess
I like the guy who sang pillow talk, his voice is very unique
Hiram voice is so tremendous, what a talent.
Jason jones needs to release this cover somewhere because I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t hesitate and put it in their favorites playlist. What a fn boice!❤️
The third performance.. that lil girl had so much faith and love in her dad.. it moved me..
@One little drop in the Ocean why disturbing ? He was approved when he showcased his ACTUAL music , i think on the contrary , that's a nice message .
@One little drop in the Ocean Sometimes I find then unfair
@Chicken Permission Very cute!
Me too 😍 I was so happy for her when he was finally approved of by the almighty judges but not happy that it took death metal to get their approval. A disturbing message there for that child 🤔
i know 🥺 her headbanging to his music was so cuuuuute
The last guy was soooooo good. I loved it.
The first girl is real life Barbie with amazing vocals 😍
Omg the last one opera 2. The way he hit the high note.. Incredible
The guy singing at the ending is a true vocalist
Magnus Bokn 🔥🔥🔥 one of the Best covers ever, hands down.
The guy singing “Pillowtalk” needs to make a full version 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The last song was an Indian guy singing a Russian song. I think I've heard it before. Great job. :) I can't say which I loved the most, but Zayn's "Pillow Talk" was super. Amazing. I liked it when Tom Jones turned around when he heard "Crazy Love" and nodded his head (Yeah, most definitely, I'm convinced).
He's not indian. The country was stated at the bottom
The Indian guy? He is Sri Lankan not Indian. He is from Sri Lanka. Learn your Geography better
@Pain et Cirque The song "Opera #2" was written by Vitas, a Russian singer, in 2001. And here this song is in the Russian language too
@Martin Goes Fishing How about you have your own opinion about Russia? Sorry to say, but it's a dumb thing to say 'we currently don't like Russia'.
I loved him!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So sad that we never hear again from such talented singers
Patrick bullock would've had American judges turning chairs in an instant! Amazing!!
He wasn’t singing though, I wouldn’t have turned either. They need to hear how you sound when SINGING, not speaking. But he obviously can’t sing a normal song with that voice all fucked up from all the growling. A shame that man don’t know how to take proper care of it
agreed, that was a masterful rendition~
Just proves why blind auditions are necessary - no prejudgement based on looks.
Heavy metal episode best audition on the Voice I've seen so far, the audience got a nice snack. I know why he chose the pumpkin king song. It's a wonderful example of vocal control and range - I'm surprised the judges didn't realize that, they got hung up on the words and didn't listen to the sound.
"Girls just wanna have fun!" Awesome interpretation!!!
Music is the purest expression of the soul. Anyone can sing, it’s the bravery that we lack to lay our souls bare. These people were all amazing and the way they let us all in… love it!
Never gave thought to a guy doing "Girls wanna have fun" BUT I really liked the arrangement & voice for the song. Great job.
My fave I think..
>"...gave thought to a guy doing "Girls wanna have fun"
It was written by a guy in 1979, Robert Hazard. He also had a band Robert Hazard and the Heroes. They were based in Philadelphia, PA, USA
I agree that Magnus Bokn did a great job of showing off the song in an entirely different way than most are familiar with.
Конечно Хорам! Еще и песню на русском выучить и ВСЕ слова правильно спеть!! Красавчик!!!
18:30 Man can sing 💜💜💜💜
10:58 I love it! He has tears in his eyes!!
gracias enorme maravilloso.voces brutales ❤️
no me canso de verlo y escucharlo.verdaderamente genial 🤘
Oh boy, Jason Jones have an unique and pretty voice, dang, when he started to sing I got all the goosebumps, drop that cover sir
MAGNUS!!!!! OMG! What a cover ....you re invented this song. Respect 👊
All the metal guys getting into musical songs are my spirit animals
I’m really surprised that the girls just wanna have fun song did not have everyone turning out round right then
Loved that version ❤
That one's so good omg
I agree 100%
So glad someone did turn for him.
Jason Jones had gorgeous tone and timbre.
Wow, what a voice🥰
18:28.. I really liked his singing..just great!
Germany does heavy metal SO well
I think the reason they didn’t turn around was because his voice where already pretty fucked up from the growling, that man have not taken care of his voice sadly. I’m not a singer myself but even I could hear it wasn’t good, he will not have much left of that voice if he don’t start asap to take better care of it.
When you feel shy about being a freak of nature, and then you watch that last guy.... bravo!
Последний певец поет песню на русском языке и кстати хорошо поет)) браво
The Spanish contestant, I couldn't understand a word but it was amazingly beautiful.
The guy at 18:30, he really has a good voice, he can really sing and could make a good career for himself singing!
Highway Star was spot on, I LOVED it!
Why did no one turn for Patrick Bulluck he is so talented wth
@ Lasha N No his voice wasn’t good, could clearly hear he hadn’t taken care of it despite growling in his band so much. That’s the number one flaw Germans does when going into that music genre. You MUST take care of the voice or you fuck it up and won’t have one later in life. They didn’t turn because they obviously heard it was fucked
@Thommy Turtle lies it was perfect seen the movies thousands of time he was on point. Tasteless
because the voice wasnt good
Crowd absolutely loved him.
When the Judges don’t turn around quickly it’s not because they don’t like it. It’s because they love it and their stunned
One of the best things is when Patrick Bulluck is singing with the band, the little girl backstage is getting into it with some head banging herself. She has a microphone around her head, so I was hoping she was about to sing. Aside from all that, I am disappointed that the judges did not turn around for "Jack's Lament." Like Patrick said, "No guts, no glory." Problem is, he had the guts part down perfectly, and still there was no glory. I hope to see this guy again ... in a Rock Opera
They threw him a bone at the end because they didn't turn for his song choice.
Jason Jones just wow. What a voice.
That first song was just gut wrenchingly beautiful 💔💞
jason jones pillow talk cover might just be my fav preformance , its defo up there he made all the right vocal choices BOOM love it.
The Asian guy with highway star excellent performance ever higher notes than the original
How can we still not get as Human beings that diversity = beauty & wonder!? Every single one of them… unique and necessary ❤
The last singer is amazing!!
The best performer, in my opinion, is the guy from Norway singing Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. He did that like it was his original. Amazingly done. This judges are idiots
Jason Jones man... That's the best rendition I've ever heard
The metall boy was so unique! I'm not a metall fan but they are great
I love the performance by Patrick Bulluck
Jason Jones has a voice damn
The judges not turning around when Patrick Bulluck was singing was pure injustice, imo.
And the guy belting out the Opere 2 song - he was so spot on on the high pitch parts.
I love his voice , the pillow talk guy...
And of course, the giy from sri lanka. That song is very hard as well . Well done.
the first girl just made me suddently burst into tears
The guy from Sri Lanka was amazing. But I also love that in the Norwegian version the TV audience is kept in the dark for so long.
9:08 this baby girl is so sweet!!!!
I would kill for a little daughter like her.
I’ll never get over the way she threw her neck when she said you might want to turn around TOM 😅😅😅
Not seen this programme, but it's clear that, if you choose the wrong song, you are done for.... No matter how good your voice is.
❤the guy doing Vika's Opera 2!! Did it EXTREMELY well!!! (do look Vika up! He's unreal!)
They were all ace perfomances, so I'd vote for first and last!!
El ultimo fue espectacular 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Why nobody turned around for the guy singing the song from The Night before Christmas ? 😡 he was reaaally good!
It's an impersonation, that's why.
i don't even know what she is singing but that second one has a beautiful voice and she is beautiful
Metal looking contestants got the most unexpected song choices. Wow.
Most metalheads have a pretty diverse library. We also have our "guilty pleasures" 😉
Dimash's version of the last song is the best. You should hear him out. I don't think anyone in the world can compete with his vocals.
Vitas #1 for me
Dimash nie ma konkurencji, jest najlepszy! Pełen pakiet niespotykaną skała dźwięku, interpretacja każdego utworu, świetne teksty o samej prezentacji nie wspomnę😁❤️❤️
OMG what's happened to @JasonJones??? I remember that audition and he sounds UTTERLY SUPERB!! SUCH a Gifted singer! as for only ONE turn for @MagnusBoken just Unbelievable! Also SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD! ❤️ some Great performances!!
magnifique, quelle belle sensibilité
i literally have chills from hearing the nun's performance
