I swear, Gladbach have some of the best team goals in the Bundesliga (though admittedly that does highlight their lack of a real goal scorer). Which makes it frustrating just how frail they are defensively and I can't figure out why. A back line featuring the likes of Ginter, Elvedi, Lainer, Bensebaini and Scally with Sommer between the posts should not be shipping so many goals.
I don't know what they're going to do against Dortmund next week, especially if Haaland returns. I just hope it's a close result that doesn't deter Gladbach's confidence too much, because they have been improving recently. It'll be a huge boost to come out of Dortmund with at least a good performance because the next five teams after that are all bottom half teams and results against them will likely be decisive in determining whether Gladbach will be fighting relegation or European spots (right now, they're right in the middle, with 8 points separating them from both 4th place and 17th place).
Knowing our luck we will go out there and put Dortmund to the sword. Just as we did with Bayern in the cup, typical really, we love to struggle against the smaller sides and prove to be a strong team against bigger opposition.
