- A quick install video of the VIOFO A119 V3 Dash Cam
Everything I used in the video was included in the kit from Amazon
The entire process was quick and very simple. Don't be scared to grab the tool and get to work! Good luck! Entertainment
Thank you so much for putting this together! As a new dashcam user, it was a big help to see a visual demonstration of the install.
Glad to hear it helped!!
Nice job on the install. I'll probably just let the cable hang down the front of the dash but you made it look reasonably easy.
Great vid. Very well explained. Just got mine. Took notes and will follow your instructions to the T. Thank you for taking the time ! Appreciate :)
Glad it helped!
Compliments on an outstanding professional presentation. Viofo should contract with you for a promo.
I really appreciate that! Just trying to get better at my video making abilities! Thanks for the kind words!
Got mine for Christmas, we finally have a day here in Vermont where I'm not going to be freezing my nuggets off so I can install in a bit, very helpful video. Thanks.
Cool! Hope it goes smoothly. You’ll love it!
Excellent video and just what i needed.
@Peter Bloss good deal! Glad it helped. Shoot me a message if you have any issues
Got one for Christmas from my son. Will be installing in my F-250 soon. Thanks for the help with this install video.
Glad it helped!!
Thanks for including the play back video so we can see the quality of the recording!
Of course! Glad it helped!
I’ve also posted a 2 week review of this same dash cam that has a lot more footage of you need to see anymore!
The black plastic flat ended "stick" is a trim tool you can use to install the wire under the cars panels or rubber trim.
@Nyarinyax You're right, you didn't call it a stick. I should have called it a trim pry tool. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful!
I don’t remember calling it a stick, but in the video, you can see that I used it to do the full installation. A super handy tool!
2560X1440P is 2K, btw. Also, you should definitely run it at the max resolution. No point in having a 2K dashcam if you're not going to run it at its native resolution.
This is an awesome video! Thank you for posting! +1 (100!)
Glad it helped!!
Nice one Geezer, you have talked me into buying this one :-)
You won’t be disappointed!!
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks! Hope it helped!
Thank you, very helpful.
Thank you for making a video where I can see the whole camera while you are adjusting the settings. What size card are you using?
128 GB
Thank you this super helpful
Nice job running that cord. Maybe you can come over and set this up for me😄.
It’s a date!
4k HD is not a resolution. The first resolution is 1440p, also known as 2k or quad HD.
I believe I was trying to say 4k UHD but that would also be incorrect 😂. Guess I gotta just learn how to read
Great Video and Thanks!
Question if I don't want to use the GPS module, do I still need to connect the dashcam to the car?
thanks for your video. now i know how to install and hide the cable !!! greetings from germany :)
Woah from Germany? That’s awesome! Glad the video helped!
How much did you get this cam? I’m looking for one. Have you found any problems using this Viofo model?
I believe it was $60 on Amazon when I purchased it. There are a lot of other options for dash cams that are more expensive, but from my research they aren’t much better than this one. Some are even worse
I would recommend this cam, or the dual cam version of this one.
And I haven’t had any issues at all. One time I had to manually format the sd card rather than it automatically wiping itself, but other than that one time, I haven’t had any issues at all
You should contact Guinness Records as you have the worlds longest thumb! Excellent video too .
My screen turns black but the record button does turn red. Is it still recording?? Also, how do you manual record a clip you want to capture? I've tried n cabt figure it out sorry lol . I had thinkware before. Good camera for price but didn't last long
@Nyarinyax you're awesome!! Will check it out. Thanks again!!
@Jessica Reyes haha of course! Thank you! I’m glad it’s helping people!
And if you’re willing to spend a few more bucks, I bought an sd card reader that I keep in my car. The reader plugs into my phone. That way, if something does ever happen and I need to show a police officer (or whoever) the clip more easily, I can connect the sd card to my phone, and open/share the footage on the spot.
I bought one on Amazon for $7. They make ones that will attatch to all types of phones and tablets! Would highly recommend!!
@Nyarinyax yes thats my question. Thank you so much for replying!! Great video too btw!!
The screen will automatically go dark after a few seconds. But as long as the record light is still on, it’s still recording.
I’m not sure what you’re asking about the manual record. At any given point you can start and stop the recording by just pressing the record button, and you can manually save specific clips as well when you go to the playback screen. Is that what you’re asking?
Thanks for the Video
Great video man. What’s the name of the song in the background?
Thanks! I got the song from Epidemic Sound. It’s called Free Yourself by Chill Cole
How can i saved videos from accident?
Can you read plates at night when drive with high speed
Yup. Just make sure you keep the resolution at its highest, and choose a higher frame rate as well. 60fps should work well
Is it better to install on driver side? just incase you need to press save button
@Nyarinyax i agree I installed mine like yours
Honestly I don’t think it matters. Whenever I need to remove a clip I usually just take it out later that day and save it to my phone.
I prefer it not being in sight as I’m driving than the easy access that saving on the spot would give
Can you hide the speed on recording
Yup. If you go into the settings you can remove everything you saw on my screen. Or, you can leave the “gps” module off. That will leave the speed blank all the time
You switch off the camera manually or it Just turn off when you turn off the car?
Thanks, and sorry for my english
@Leonardo Actually, to use the parking mode, you need the hardwire kit to connect it to the fuse box. This way, it can turn on & record even if the car is turned off, that's the whole point. It has a build in switch with which you can set the power cut off point. This will look at the voltage of the car's battery, and turn off the dashcam if the battery of the car is starting to run low. This way you will never have a dead battery.
@Leonardo as far as I know, it should all be the same if you hardwire it using the fuse.
Just make sure you have some sort of battery system that’s not draining your battery ask the camera is running while off. I would recommend some sort of battery pack that you can install between the fuse and the dashcam
@Nyarinyax if I Want to connect the viofo to the fuse for the parking mode is the same?
If you’re using the cigarette lighter (like I did) then you never have to touch it. When you turn on the car, it will automatically turn on and record. And when you turn off the car, it’ll automatically stop recording and turn off
A119 v3 vs a119 mini which one better?
I personally think this version is better just based on the little research that I did. But I don’t think you can go wrong with either. Both solid cams
use this instead bro you can plug it up to your rearview mirror no cords :)
How?
did you break your thumb at some point it looks wild loool
v old model without wifi
Yo is your thumb ok?
Alien hands OMG!
Interesting
What is wrong with your thumb
Off topic but your hands are freakin huge lmao
😂😂 yeeahhh I get that a lot. The fact they’re double jointed doesn’t help either
