something is changing. This means that weapons from Russian nuclear storage will be transported to Belarus and will be maintained in combat readiness next to a boiling boiler. Over the past year, US intelligence has been very closely monitoring Russian nuclear weapons and has said that the Russians are not preparing to deploy nuclear weapons for use in Ukraine. The combat readiness of nuclear weapons in Belarus is a new round of escalation.

This threat to store nuclear weapons that can be delivered to any potential target by aircraft is pointless. He already has these nuclear weapons stored throughout Russia that can be loaded on to his aircraft in Russia to be delivered to any potential target. Storing nuclear weapons in Belarus serves no purpose, it's just another of his lame threats.

And then would role if any would Latin America and Africa play? I guess in the Arab world Iran would be with Russia and Israel with the NATO. What side would Saudi Arabia be on?

When the subject is species annihilation through nuclear conflagration, arguments like that are silly. I obviously take an opposite position, but that doesn't matter. What DOES MATTER is that Russia perceives NATO expansion as an existential threat (and it has for many years). It is time for NATO to back off. Someone has to be the adult in the room. Question: if China started building military installations somewhere in Mexico or Canada, would the Chinese "be on our doorstep"? Or is there a double standard, and the U.S. can play by different rules?

WSJ of all places is describing Zelenskyy mobilization in this way: "Mr. Zelensky in January introduced even harsher punishment for desertion and disobedience. A disabled person was drafted in western Ukraine and pronounced fit for service despite having no hands. Another died on the front lines within a month of mobilization after 10 days of training, according to his relatives." Zelenskyy is catching and forced conscripting often at gunpoint mostly people with zero motivation to die for him, who never served in the army, often disabled. Biden administration is getting quite desperate. The only option left for Biden administration is to throw Polish army into a meat grinder. I just hope that Polish government isn't that crazy. Putin is sending a clear message to Poland by deploying tactical nukes in Belarus .

God of Justice give us Hope and remove these tyrants from the World stage. Protect the planet, protect the innocents, protect all of nature and all the living creatures. Grant us protection and peace. A hedge of protection, a locked garden, a mighty strongtower. In Yeshua's name we pray. Amen. 💗😔

    • Shane
      Shane 2 months ago +2

Yeah it kinda is. US stored nukes on other sides of the globe in different countries. Belarus and Russia share a boarder so he is literally moving these down the street as a show of force. A very transparent show of force and nothing more.

If Putin can't have Ukraine, he'll take Belarus as a consolation prize.

    • wsol80
      wsol80 2 months ago

@Leah Whiteley The same was true of Ukraine before 2014.
Moving nukes to Belarus is an excuse for permanent Russian military bases to ensure they never cut their strings like Ukraine did. Hence, my comment.

I love how everyone in the west is trying to downplay this, the last time something like this happened it was called the Cuban missile crisis.

    • Matteo
      Matteo 2 months ago

No. The Cuban middle crisis was a big deal because soviet Russia put missiles in Cuba which is right off the coast of America, giving them a tactical advantage distance wise. Belarus borders Russia, there is no strategic advantage

    • Nathaniel alaburg
      Nathaniel alaburg 2 months ago

Wasn't the Cuban missle crisis when the soviets put nukes within 90 miles of mainland?

    • Ed C

You can choose to follow the Kremlin propaganda output, or not. Kaliningrad has had nuclear weapons for a long time. The reason why giving nukes to Bealrus is stupid for Russia is that someday the people might get bored of Lukashenko, anyway that'll be Russia's problem to deal with.

In the event of war, Belarus is now a target. Nato should be able to defeat it in a few hours.

If their fired from Belarus, Belarus will get hit. The Belarusian leader, either has no choice in the matter or is to stupid to realise, Russia will be safe whilst his country won't. Which unfortunately means it's likely they will be used.
