This company definitely knows its target audience, construction workers. They need rugged phones because of the rough work environment, cheap because they aren't earning huge salaries, loud because construction sites are pretty loud and workers frequently use their smartphones for playing music or radio.

People really need more expensive phones? i mean the cellphone its like 340 dollars why would you want to buy a 1200 phone just to use facebook and youtube?

I would say it extends beyond construction work. Pretty much anyone that is an avid outdoorsman that doesn't really care too much about the specs of their phone will see a huge advantage here. Just buy it, set it up, and forget about it. I know tons of folks on my mom's side of the family that would love this phone.

@Adimimic No, food stamps are paid for by government 'SNAP' program, they are NOT an amazon funded "benefit". This is why a living wage should be legislated, so corporations can't shift responsibility of paying their employees fairly onto the taxpayer funded social safety net.

That is definitely a phone I'd remember for a long time - it has the biggest speaker I've ever seen in a phone (that speaker is bigger than most laptop speakers too!) as well as keeping the Micro SD card slot and the headphone jack. Nice work.

  • Darryl Forbes
Darryl Forbes 5 months ago +82

There’s another rugged phone, the Conquest S20 that has an infrared camera and a 120db speaker. I was torn between the AGM and the Conquest. I decided on the Conquest mainly because it has gorilla glass 5. And I wasn’t sure what the AGM glory had. I suspect the AGM glory’s speaker may have slightly better lower frequency sound because it’s thicker. But that’s just a hunch.

    • Darryl Forbes
Darryl Forbes 5 months ago +3

@ABQCML I wasn’t necessarily speaking of the appearance because I realize that many phones offer a much better visual experience than other. I was mainly speaking of the basic qualities of gorilla glass as it pertains to resistance to cracking and scratch resistance vs tempered glass. The Ability to sustain a drop, heat, water, and other abuse without internal or external damage is my first priority. I know nothing is fool proof. But I’m tough on phones. That’s why I’m prefer gorilla glass.

    • ABQCML
      ABQCML 5 months ago +1

@Darryl Forbes Just my experience. The glass on the Xiaomi phone is splendid. And it was a budget phone from 4 years ago. The oleophonic treatment is definitely different.

    • Darryl Forbes
Darryl Forbes 5 months ago +1

@ABQCML maybe I'm mistaken. But I thought that since Corning made the various gorilla Glass versions, three was three, five was five, etc. because they had to meet a certain standard for toughness and scratch resistance.

    • ABQCML
      ABQCML 5 months ago +1

@Darryl Forbes manufacturer dependent I think. A Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is more scratch resistant and oleophobic than LG V50's GG5.

    • Darryl Forbes
Darryl Forbes 5 months ago +2

@Blazenko Jakovljevic what do you mean by that? I know it's breakable under the right circumstances. But it does seem to be tougher than standard tempered glass? Is that not true?

@Flausensieb imagine living in a country where you have to pay for college even if you don't go. Bwahahaha. That's what the losers in the EU do. You pay for college until the day you die, even if you've never stepped foot into a college. They can't even own a decent home or car because the taxes are insanely high. They're stuck either renting a 60 m^2 hovel and writing a weren't check to some foreigner for the rest of their life, or until they reach the upper 10% of income to afford a 70 m^2 dump that they spend right around 2x as much as an American pays for a new house that's 2x as big, that's sitting on a big lot. Imagine losing at life so badly that you'll pay for college even if you don't go, and you'll act like it's "fReE." LOL.

I haven’t watched your product testing videos before but I’m impressed ! Put it through hell to find the weak points yet be fair when considering the price vs quality. My question is does it ring loud enough to be heard over machinery and can the callers voice be turned up enough to hear in a loud environment ? Both seem like important things to expect from a “ loud “ phone.

This is a missed opportunity in sound quality. They should have used the back speaker as a subwoofer with a crossover that pairs with front stereo speakers that play down to 150Hz where the sub takes over. They have the battery and internal space to do this.

As a tradesperson the loudest phone out there is something I definitely at least thought about. I remember having phones that were really loud. At some point I started using Samsung and pixel phones and I couldn’t really use them much at work anymore. Most construction guys have boom boxes or Bluetooth speakers. If I had had two phones I would totally buy one of these as a work phone and leave my pretty 13 Pro Max in the truck.

Okay so I've been using Opera (specifically Opera GX) for over 1 year and I highly recommend it. I never use the VPN because it's just slow even with my fast WIFI speeds. The browser is way faster than literally anything else like edge and chrome. It uses way less CPU, ram or other recourses. But, go in the settings and turn off all the bull crap stuff you know you will never use like the booking thing. I am half tempted to pick this up. Alarms don't wake me up so I use my PC through an amp... I feel bad for my neighbors. This might be the solution. If they made this with like Samsung s20 specs but with a headphone jack I'd be sold in a heart beat.

Dude, my Galaxy S10 is just as loud as this phone. I just tested it with a calibrated SPL meter, playing the same song at the same part, at the same distance. This phone is nothing special. Your PC and amp will be way better.

@AmBozz I’ve upgraded my phone a total of once. My old phone that I had since 2015 was an android with a headphone Jack. I upgraded to an iphone7 in 2020 because it was free and my old phone was beginning to break down. Now that the iPhone 7 is going to stop being supported next year, I have been looking for a phone to replace it. Don’t think you know everyone’s situation from a few messages

      - well, did you buy one that has one?
"WELL NO I DIDN'T why won't they make them anymore it's a mystery"
      - if more people bought them the industry would see it as a feature people want and change production accordingly

I have the G1 pro (same speaker but also adds IR Thermal camera) the speaker is the cat's meow. not just loud but large so GOOD sound. I can listen to audio books and fill the room. its absolutely amazing! My only complaint is the NORMAL earpiece is not remotely loud enough. its almost unusable.

@80's Baby haven't tried deep water but did spill a bottle of water on it by accident and passed. Im aware its supposed to go a decent distance but i personally haven't yet tried it. I mostly work on cars and homes so my phones get abused that way.

@conner secondino thanks for the reply.. ok well I definitely keep that in mind 🤣 no throwing the phone at people's heads , check ✅. Is it actually waterproof? Or do you spend much time outdoors in the elements?

    • conner secondino
conner secondino 3 months ago +1

@80's Baby don't expect customer service from agm otherwise phone is pretty nice. It seems both mine and my friends are having the same problem with the rgb ring only working when you're playing with it in settings but not usually working after playing music. Not sure why but technically not a big deal. I finally found out you can set the button on the side to open other things than just the camera i set mine to flashlight and it has been way less annoying lol. Another dumb thing i notice when watching a Clip-Share video my hand naturally lays on the finger print reader alot and that keeps bringing up the control menu in a Clip-Share video lol. The most damage i have had externally is the speaker cover has gotten a bit scuffed to bare metal in spots. Also do not throw it at your wall out of rage if you ever have that problem on occasion. it will go through your drywall instead of bouncing off so thats a plus I suppose you wont fucking do it again 😂 its got some girth to it and its built very solid i think you could actually break someones skull with this if you threw it at them and thats where this succeeds the most i feel like lol. The loud speaker is nice and i haven't actually ran my phone constantly on battery saving mode yet but i got 13 hour's of constant use. im meaning downloading stuff all day while videos and games are on together. So you might get a full day if you're being conservative.

its most likely outputting 82 decibels, as decibels are usually metered 1 meter (3 feet) away from the source.

    • BangDroid
      BangDroid 5 months ago +1

@Crazyoreo 9 To be different? I dunno. If this thing has a much larger speaker, it might have a better frequency response. But I wouldn't trust a noname brand android phone at all anyway. No way you're gonna get proper security updates, no idea what's preinstalled.

    • Crazyoreo 9
      Crazyoreo 9 5 months ago +1

@BangDroid well that's stupid, why would anyone buy this phone for its massive speaker if it's about the same loudness as normal phones 😂

    • BangDroid
      BangDroid 5 months ago +1

I have a calibrated SPL meter, just tested my Samsung Galaxy S10 playing the same song (Habanera Kevin MacLeod) at the same part, at the same distance and it also got up past 100 dB.
So it seems this phone is about average loudness

    • Crazyoreo 9
      Crazyoreo 9 5 months ago +5

@FPSzky well for a phone if it rang it would probably startle some people, but it's definitely no 109 decibels that the company claims

I have just recently starting subscribing to your channel and following you on Facebook. I love everything you do, especially your electric Humvee! I just saw your video about the Model X you bought for Cambry and was very interested. I, too, bought a used Model X for similar reasons. I will be 74 this August, have COPD and on Oxygen, (from smoking 45 years), have knees that are bone on bone, so I have trouble walking very far. I have an electric wheelchair I bought used to help me at stores that do not have handicap carts. What I was thinking about doing, was to remove the double seat on the left rear and making a ramp to drive my power chair into the space where the back seat is. Since you are so good at designing and building things, I thought you might do that for Cambry. If you designed it, maybe I could get someone to help me build it. It would be great for other people like Cambry and me. Thanks for your patience and for your wonderful channel!.
