I just got the tab 7 Fe for $199 with a trade in of a old free Samsung tablet. This tablet is such a beast I know that S8 ultra is just amazing. Of course I got the Wi-Fi version with the good processor seeing as how there's like two or three different variants
Not only did it impressively survive the bend test, it even fought back against Jerry during it, something never seen or thought about before. All I can say is that I'm very proud of being the owner of a Samsung device :)
Phones have fought back before, he's gotten glass in his finger a few times and one phone pinched his finger between the glass and metal when he was bending it. Surprisingly, i think the one that pinched him was also a samsung 😂
That's impressive, but what I'm really looking to find out is what happens when it's dropped onto a hard surface. That's much more likely than anyone trying to bend it in half.
Wow... I am genuinely shocked that it didn't crumble in the bend test, putting aside the rest of the features of this tablet, that alone demands a great deal of respect.
I purchased one of these about 6 months ago and I love it... I was concerned about possibly cracking the glass as the S7+ that I had before this one cracked very easily... But after seeing this abuse test I am more confident of it's durability now...
I had full confidence at my recent upgrade decision but when it started to flex a lil , it did gave me a scare 😄 But survived the ultimate bend test .......... smelling success while commenting from it on this video 😁✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
I was waiting for the bend test and how this ultra-thin piece of tech will survive considering how large it is Damn the engineering behind this slab so good couldn't go wrong 😳
Im getting this tablet in a bit, durability isn’t usually all that important to me since I’m always very careful, but wow that’s actually quite impressive! I didn’t expect it to be that difficult to snap, sure I expected it to withstand some pressure but that much? That’s really reassuring since it seems kinda fragile
I’m still relatively new to this channel, so seeing him snap the S-pen in half like that gave me a series of mild heart attacks. I’m slowly getting used to the blatant abuse of costly technology, however, and this is a great watch!
As a fan of the latest and greatest technology, I had major anxiety watching this destruction. Especially when it is wicked expensive devices. I just upgraded to this tablet today and you bet I'll be treating it with the utmost care.
One aspect of durability that I think you miss in these tablets is the pen. I bought one of these 6 months ago and the pen tip has already broken twice. The first time I could replace it, but the second time it broke so deeply in the pen that it couldn't be removed and the entire pen had to be replaced, which cost me $70
Watching this on my new Tab S8 Ultra expecting this thing to snap in half like a OnePlus 10 Pro, but no. That is very impressive. I have just had it for a couple days, but I love it already! The screen is so beautiful 😍
Whoa! Not the end result I was expecting! MKBHD even said Samsung should keep this away from you because you will destroy it with the bend test! He couldn’t be more wrong. Awesome video as always!
@KRX Gaming Even reddit and community forums though, you still have to do a lot of filtering between people who know what they're talking about and those who do not. I don't understand what you mean about laptops?
@Marco Sassari GN and HWU get very close. Honestly the best way to get real life experiences and information is through community forums. And sometimes even reddit.
@KRX Gaming no one is reliable 100% of the times, not even GamersNexus and Hardware Unboxed. Difference is that LTT, MWTB and MKBHD tend to be less reliable than both. Also when it comes down to phones, tablets, laptops that aren't really that many big tech that analyze them in-depth. I think there is no such thing as an 100% tech reliable youtuber.
Just ordered one after watching this video. I am very surprised with all that screen, it survived the bend test YET some mobiles and the ipad pro breaks like kitkat when bending.
Wow , after watching ipad pro ( which is smaller & thicker ) snap in half i was expecting this at all . Beautiful , slim , good processing power => nice work Samsung But dont bump the prices because i said this , dont be like other companies. Thanks 😘
It was so fascinating to see how it held itself together on not one, not two, but multiple bend tests.... It's like Jerry after losing a bit of skin, which looked painful BTW, he kind of took it personally. And the tab was like, " Nah man, not today" XD
Watching from Kenya... Damn! You sure did struggle to recreate a foldable! This is the kind of stuff that makes me confident in buying gadgets out here. My only worry being they may not be of the same quality as in this video. A great one I must add. 👍
Jerry made me lose part of my soul that was hanging on to a thread when he scratched, disassembled and analyzed the tablet. I'm getting one this month and this video has made want to take even extra good care of it. Regardless this video was awesome. New subscriber
This is what machine learning does to Jerry. The computers watched his videos and out of horror prepared a design that would mess with whoever tried to break them
I think it’s due to channels like this that manufactures increased the durability of their tablets. Since the 2018 iPad Pro bend-gate, the flagship tablets of both Apple and Samsung became sturdier.
Great video as always! When you snapped that S-pen just like that I gasped as if I did not expect that. Great work and thank you so much for your content!
Seeing as how that didn't snap - which i wasnt expecting - i feel like we're due a teardown! Not necessarily for the repairability aspect of it which I'm willing to bet is quite poor but more so to see why and how it actually managed to keep itself together
@TimoArrg I doubt it would matter. If it were going to break like that, it would have where his thumbs were. The difference in leverage in that scale is very little.
@Denny Hostutler i agree with this, if he had hands long enough to put the fingers in the center of the screen, i bet the leverage force would have snapped it in the fraction of a second. But still, this was incredibly surprising and definitely way more durable than the last apple iPads, I'm really happy with how this turned out
I've always come here to evaluate whatever I'm trying to purchase and it's usually a great reference. A tablet that bites back was definitely something I didn't expect, not sure I want to get bitten.... maybe if I get one without a dinosaur my fingers will be safe 😅
I'm new to this channel and when I saw him snap the S-pen, it made me wanna cry but it was a very good watch though. The durability of items always intrigue me especially with electronics.
Never expected this much large tablet to survive Zack's bend test. This year Samsung literally on the right path. I hope this continues for future. Edit :- First time in my lifetime I got 1K likes on my comment thank you so much lovely people 😄
@단호박 and every phone manufacturer does? xiaomi and motorola plastered 1M antutu on their latest phones, and they can only do that for 1 run and they throttle hard every company does this, it's not that big of a deal
The black magic never reveals its tricks 😂 I love these videos, I watched a lot of the phone once and ended up buying the Samsung z flip soully on how much trouble Jerry had destroying it 😅
Bought the iPad Pro & going to return the iPad because like Jerry said "It's bigger, comes with a stylist & has expandable memory" so there you have it
I'm glad I got the tablet and couldn't be happier, playing COD Mobile looks killer on the tablet paired with a controller is even better. Can't wait for the teardown.
can i just say. that eventhough it is indeed impressive that the tablet didnt snap... Who in their right mind would treat a tablet ot that size and that price tag, so that it could snap? Like what would you have to "accidentally" do to put so much force on this or any tablet that it could snap?
As a first time watcher (and new subscriber) I was not ready when you snapped the pen first thing. I held my breath and mouth hanging open when you scratched the sides and the back with the razor. I finally snapped out when you attempted to snap the tablet. Wow. Awesome job and incredible video! I will definitely be watching more of your content!
This is the first time ever I have seen a Tablet fighting back in bend test .It took good amount of Jerry while fighting back .Kudos 🔥 to Samsung for making physics defying sorcery tablet !!
I dream to buy this. See it like this makes me think of the world. Those who don't have it...feel the every pinch on the tablet. Those who have it are ready to tear it for the fun.
It bugs me more that you can't pair a plus model phone with an ultra model tablet without loosing functionality. It's not even an upgrade or something to be paid for.
Sometimes I get back to this video because it calms me down after I start to panic when I was a little rough on my tablet. Thank you for the great video :D
It's almost like the major tech companies are finally engineering these devices with Zack's bend test in mind. It's about time after 6+ years of bending tech they start taking notice.
@Blake Workman I actually wondered how the s4 fared. I think either Jerry or lew fist samsung bend test was on a note 3(my first smartphone), and it turned out to be a tank.
I'd love to have this tab but it's just too reflective for my eyes. Also, it is not as bright as Ipad pro, which is about 150 Nits brighter. Oh well, nothing is perfect.
The fact Samsung engineers can make something less then 1 cm in thickness and yet 15 inches in diameter this durable insane. I can imagine over 100 lbs of bending force and yet it stayed straight as an arrow. Impressive
@ᴋɴɪɢʜᴛ-ꜱɢᴛ. ꜱᴀʙʟᴇ You mean the SI system, the system that ALL scientists and engineers and mathematicians use, is the "peasant" system. Cool story bro.
@Felina I'm just here to confirm stereotypes. We actually learn both measurement systems in school, we just mostly use Imperial in our day to day, with a little peasant thrown in as needed.
@ᴋɴɪɢʜᴛ-ꜱɢᴛ. ꜱᴀʙʟᴇ You wanna bring some actual arguments or are you just here to confirm our views of you that Americans like to defend things simply because they're used to it without realizing another option is actually the better one?
@Red Jellonian wtf why should imperial be easier for people without a calculator? What's 4.23 miles in inches? Most people can't compute that in their head. And now what is 4.23km in cm? Easy, it's 423000cm.
Watching this was one of the most stressful things I've ever done. Ever. It was like watching someone deface and destroy museum quality art. I don't know if I'll ever get over the shock. You are, without a doubt, the worst kind of monster to technology, but I at least appreciate the fact that you show how absolutely rugged this tablet is. Thank you, and I hope to never see you again. If you'll excuse me, I have to go watch a video of puppies, kittens, and rainbows to feel better.
"There are now parts of me inside this tablet in ways, I have never imagined" I wonder in what ways he has imagined that his parts will be inside that tablet.🧐🤣😅
Nice one.. how about using some sort of mini hydraulic press, with your device held up by the sides. Then put a torque measurement on the hydraulic press, that way you can get a reading for how much bend gets to snap the device. Btw, the universe will be glad if you sent me that dinosaur signed tab. 😊
the m1 ipad pro had some permanent pressure marks after the bend test (and an extreme curve), making it not so good for viewing content anymore. and with that extreme curve, chips would've likely popped off the board (ipads have awful soldering, ask me how i know.) the tab s8 ultra has none of this, even tho its thinner. honestly just wow, samsung really has black magic. or apple's engineering is really that bad.
Man it's crazy how this thing didn't snap in half. Was also expecting it to split apart. I guess it has something to do with how wide it is but man, that was unexpected.
@Nimit Khandelwal yes, but it technically makes it more durable for Jerry's specific bend test as he's only able to place the fulcrum as far as his thumbs can reach. the tablet is so wide that his thumbs are relatively close to the edge than the center. I would like to see him push in the center with the sides locked in place, to see whether his strength alone can break it.
Finally Jerry meets his match. The tablet that fights back.
That rhymed.
Slayed
😂😂😂
Samsung be like: I'm not apple🖕😎
Samsung got tired of his battery comments 😂😂
Dang I wish I had the Ultra version, but to me is ULTA expensive (yet)
Rip the people who look at the comments first
@Kris Dorey imagine not only owning the original tab s, smh
I've S7 FE
finally a jerry proof tablet
Watching this on a tab s8 ultra... I feel proud!
The perfect device for Art Time with Jerry. I hope you frame it on a wall of success.
The Dino is so cute and well done 💖
@단호박 it is still NOT related to the DURABILITY of the tablet
@matewut It is related to Galaxy Tab s8. Also, The Galaxy Tab s8 was kicked out of the geekbench app, and the system called GOS is still in operation.
@단호박 everyone knows about it, it's old news, samsung's pushing out an update to fix that, and it's completely unrelated to this video
In Korea, it was discovered while manipulating performance using a system called GOS.
That's why I don't watch Jerry's videos anymore. Breaks my heart to see all this brand new gadgets being destroyed
After watching this video I bought (THIS BAD BOY) so far I'm 😊 with it.
That drawing of that dinasor is really good ngl that looks good
Apple: OMG! it's still working!!!
Samsung: oops... what i've made?!!
I'm almost certain Samsung had Jerry in mind when constructing this tablet. That bend test though, jeez! Well done Samsung.
😂😂😂
Samsung 'ha ha Zach's fingers, take that!'
Me too, thinking the same! Impressive
I was thinking the same thing right up until it bit him, fighting back are we?
That's impressive, but what I'm really looking to find out is what happens when it's dropped onto a hard surface. That's much more likely than anyone trying to bend it in half.
That tablet night break
@Boltec sitting on any large screen, unless your a small child
It will most defently crack
Trying to bend the tablet.....maybe. But in a similar situation sitting on the tablet by accident, seems more common.
Yes I lost an old Samsung tablet when it fell down not by scratch
glass will break.
saved you some time.
Imagine hiring someone just to bend test products for not losing reputation from these videos.
@Кристиян Трънбашев every top phone aside from a few chinese companies has ditched the charger.
😂😂
@Кристиян Трънбашев there is no charger with a lot of expensive mobile devices lately, it is not really new
Why is there no charger with that expensive tablet?
No doubt that must've happened when Zach first showed up on the scene.
I'm traumatised from watching this video 😂, I still loved it !
Wow... I am genuinely shocked that it didn't crumble in the bend test, putting aside the rest of the features of this tablet, that alone demands a great deal of respect.
The frustration in Jerry's breath when the tab refuses to snap is priceless
Samsung will probably laughing right now being proud of thier product
Apple tablet oh it bends lol need to definitely get the S8 tablet as a mothers day present lol
now hopefully they used a different battery tech than their phones otherwise this tablet ain't gonna last more than 3 years
as a mechanical engineer, I was laughing maniacally as he struggled to snap it. finally a win!
@Sigma *its
Does anyone know if the Tab S8 Plus is as durable as the Ultra one?
Will you make a S8 ultra teardown?
I purchased one of these about 6 months ago and I love it... I was concerned about possibly cracking the glass as the S7+ that I had before this one cracked very easily... But after seeing this abuse test I am more confident of it's durability now...
I had full confidence at my recent upgrade decision but when it started to flex a lil , it did gave me a scare 😄 But survived the ultimate bend test .......... smelling success while commenting from it on this video 😁✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
I was like, ah man, stop it.. it survived all it can.
I was waiting for the bend test and how this ultra-thin piece of tech will survive considering how large it is
Damn the engineering behind this slab so good couldn't go wrong 😳
@Eleocraft nah, they won't put in as big as possible battery to fill all those empty space.
@gl777 no that's for the battery
Jerry sins is just weak
Thick metal strips that's all needed
Lmao 😂
So jerry was stuck their finger into the screen 😂
Do you give these "tested" products away? I'm sure somebody would take them.
Samsung is making some great stuff this year, and like S22, and tab S8.
That's some really good engineering by Samsung. Kudos to them
Im getting this tablet in a bit, durability isn’t usually all that important to me since I’m always very careful, but wow that’s actually quite impressive!
Whenever he gets any stylus he immediately snaps it. It’s the norm around here
@W H Same here, I was hyperventilating watching him, like dude, that's $1000+
As a fan of the latest and greatest technology, I had major anxiety watching this destruction. Especially when it is wicked expensive devices. I just upgraded to this tablet today and you bet I'll be treating it with the utmost care.
Every video gives me ptsd
I recommend you watch videos of people putting fresh new ipads into a shredder for further anxiety attacks.
the fact that jerry still uses the same note10+ after all these years is amazing
Great video. The bend test convinced me to buy one after being worried about what would happen to it if I sat on it. Thanks!
@Marco Sassari You're wrong about laptops. Very wrong. Watch Jarrod you'll see why laptop testing is more important.
@Marco Sassari No. Only when it comes to apple products. I like his content. Honestly even ltt is not reliable sometimes.
Just ordered one after watching this video. I am very surprised with all that screen, it survived the bend test YET some mobiles and the ipad pro breaks like kitkat when bending.
Dang, I bet Jerry would never thought a tablet could fight him back
Wow , after watching ipad pro ( which is smaller & thicker ) snap in half i was expecting this at all .
Beautiful , slim , good processing power => nice work Samsung
But dont bump the prices because i said this , dont be like other companies.
Thanks 😘
Man I'm struggling to get an S6 lite for school, while Jerry out here ripping apart a perfectly good S8 ultra. Somebody get me a sponsor eh
It was so fascinating to see how it held itself together on not one, not two, but multiple bend tests.... It's like Jerry after losing a bit of skin, which looked painful BTW, he kind of took it personally. And the tab was like, " Nah man, not today" XD
@Rickenslacker His real name is Zack but he goes by his nickname jerry.
hell he took it very personally indeed
@Hunter Warner By now he embraced himself as Jerry
@Hunter Warner Not sure anyone really cares
@Hunter Warner Are you calling Jerry a liar 5:45
I use a tab S6 as a drawing tablet so seeing the inner workings is rather interesting.
The computers watched his videos and out of horror prepared a design that would mess with whoever tried to break them
I'm surprised it didn't snap in half. It's a 15 inch tablet, and it's thinner than the iPad Pro.
@Ok Ok
The reason the iPad snapped during bend test was that the ipad had area's on the sides for apple pen charging and it cracked from those points.
@HENERAL ANTONIO LUNA Ok
Ipad pros are over rated , not worth the price especially the built quality of it
@Ok ok
I think it’s due to channels like this that manufactures increased the durability of their tablets. Since the 2018 iPad Pro bend-gate, the flagship tablets of both Apple and Samsung became sturdier.
Would bee cool to see a teardown of this tablet. I cant belive it didnt break in half.
You'll still find that one apple fan boy comment about samsungs exploding battery lol
@SwedeX (Ajbp95) It uses the same stronger "armor" aluminum of the S22 series. Whatever that means. I guess it's just stronger aluminum? XD
@Denny Hostutler that is not how physics work
@sumduma55 maybe, I wouldn't try though
But still, this was incredibly surprising and definitely way more durable than the last apple iPads, I'm really happy with how this turned out
As someone who just paid for the 8+ Ultra this hurts me in the wallet haha. Glad to see the durability nice vid.
Samsung set another new record. They managed to make a tablet that actually made dents on Jerry himself.
Edit :- First time in my lifetime I got 1K likes on my comment thank you so much lovely people 😄
@Adriano AWZ what are you talking about? What exynos in this tablet??
Do the same with the M1 iPads
"edit: thanks for the likes" -🤓
Lets make it 2k
@단호박 and every phone manufacturer does? xiaomi and motorola plastered 1M antutu on their latest phones, and they can only do that for 1 run and they throttle hard
every company does this, it's not that big of a deal
The black magic never reveals its tricks 😂
I love these videos, I watched a lot of the phone once and ended up buying the Samsung z flip soully on how much trouble Jerry had destroying it 😅
I think this is the first time he's gone out of his way to make the bend test unfair and he still somehow failed lmao
Bought the iPad Pro & going to return the iPad because like Jerry said "It's bigger, comes with a stylist & has expandable memory" so there you have it
I have the Samsung Tab S7 and love it this thing works flawlessly.
That tablet not only somehow survived the bend test, but got mad and fought back. I was not expecting that.
And violating asimov rule No 1
Awesome
These are the videos that actually sell a product to me ❤️
I'm glad I got the tablet and couldn't be happier, playing COD Mobile looks killer on the tablet paired with a controller is even better. Can't wait for the teardown.

This is the first time ever I have seen a Tablet fighting back in bend test .It took good amount of Jerry while fighting back .Kudos 🔥 to Samsung for making physics defying sorcery tablet !!
Jsyk, his name is Zack
would love to have that tablet its sad to see it get broken down 😭
Such a classic now!
Scratches at level 6
With deeper grooves at level 7
Love you Jerry with you since 2018❤❤
I dream to buy this. See it like this makes me think of the world. Those who don't have it...feel the every pinch on the tablet. Those who have it are ready to tear it for the fun.
i expected it to bend like cardboard. Genuinely surprised !
Not only did it not break during the bend test, it also successfully fought back. Thats a clear win lol
@Anjana Thosani true lol!
@1993rufus tree pencil more durable than apple i pad pro
Meanwhile Appls bends like cheap dollar tree pencil!
Indeed
Zach should try out Xiaomi pad 5.Pad 5 is famous here in india and is a budget tablet with snapdragon 860(i think) inside.
9:25 wooooow que resistente al ser tan delagada es sorprendente, ya que ,a ipad pro se doblo como una barra de plastilina
I wish you tested the smaller versions too. The mid model looks like the best value, still great screen and it doesn't have that hideous notch!
It bugs me more that you can't pair a plus model phone with an ultra model tablet without loosing functionality. It's not even an upgrade or something to be paid for.
I was expecting you to throw it in the wall after not being able to break it with your hands! 😂 what a tablet! Thanks for the video!
Samsung made this tablet incredibly thin and yet doesn't snaps + actually self defense itself from Zack 😂😂
Incredible engineering 👏🏼
@zak ehm like crApple?
a channel watched by millions, they'll be stupid not to take Zack's tests in mind while designing their products.
@Austin gaming Yeah I also heard it creek, though maybe that was just the sound of it biting him, xD
@Praise Joseph you need to consult an ear doctor it did creek for your surprise😉
It didn't even creak
I didn't hear anything creaking at all
I wonder where these devices go when Jerry’s done with them 🧐
True testing ......great work Jerry 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Commendable, I did not expect it to survive and it would've had every right not to
Sometimes I get back to this video because it calms me down after I start to panic when I was a little rough on my tablet. Thank you for the great video :D
Watching this from my Galaxy tab S8 Ultra 512gb. Love this channel.
7:21 Jerry is a serious artist. The purpose if the tab was fulfilled.
4mm thinner than ipad still survived, i didn't expect that amazing
wow. I was almost certain that it will indeed snap XD That was unexpected.
@MrUser999999
The s5 was the first with actual metal iirc
I did snap an s4 pretty easily
@T-rev You serious ? Keep fire away from electronics and don't do that test to your own devices.
@Kayl Snow even my old phone i had i think some cheap old plastic back with removable battery didnt bend and i opened a beer bottles wjth that thing
never have ever samsung made a poor device that bend
incredible, I might consider buying one... was hopping for a total snap fail.... im shocked
Jerry's hand movements are far more precise and accurate in terms of glass scratching!!
Video starts at 1:53

Excellent production, my daughter love this new galaxy tab. It's the best one
The first tech gadget that bite and ate human being partially. This is how machine-human war started.
Nice one.. how about using some sort of mini hydraulic press, with your device held up by the sides. Then put a torque measurement on the hydraulic press, that way you can get a reading for how much bend gets to snap the device.
Btw, the universe will be glad if you sent me that dinosaur signed tab. 😊
the m1 ipad pro had some permanent pressure marks after the bend test (and an extreme curve), making it not so good for viewing content anymore. and with that extreme curve, chips would've likely popped off the board (ipads have awful soldering, ask me how i know.)
the tab s8 ultra has none of this, even tho its thinner. honestly just wow, samsung really has black magic. or apple's engineering is really that bad.
Man, I love your videos and your eloquence! Keep it up, man!
"There are now parts of me inside this tablet in ways I never imagined." That had me dying lmao.
Loved the Art improvement Jerry, keep it up
The fact he kept bending it intentionally even after it survived . This guy really wanted this to break . Lol
What about adding dropping the device at different angles and heights during the durability certification?
I have been waiting for him to do an Android tablet video for YEARS!
Man it's crazy how this thing didn't snap in half. Was also expecting it to split apart. I guess it has something to do with how wide it is but man, that was unexpected.
@Raam Nothing can break it , Jerry tries his best, yet he is frustrated
@Nimit Khandelwal yes, but it technically makes it more durable for Jerry's specific bend test as he's only able to place the fulcrum as far as his thumbs can reach. the tablet is so wide that his thumbs are relatively close to the edge than the center. I would like to see him push in the center with the sides locked in place, to see whether his strength alone can break it.
They surely added strong metal structure to hold the tablet just like their phones, they don't cheap out like apple does.
Actually making the tablet wider makes it more snapable as you can apply greater torque plus you get a better grip to apply that torque!
i had already planned to get an S8 Ultra. this just confirms it.
I nearly had a heart attack when he snapped the spen while talking in his very calm voice. Holy hell that was unexpected
