Thanks for watching, dudes! Likes, favorites, and feedback is always appreciated :) Gaming
Would be sick if they added a feature where you could add a glow Inc sac to make the trim more vibrant/glow
That'd be dope ah
also want to costumized the looks of the tools since the templates looks nice
everyone hated the glow inc sac and now everyone want it now
That would be soooooo cool
@Ribbuns Sadly if the community want's it they will never actually get it
its awesome that Minecraft is taking the initiative to make it more fun and rewarding for exploring
i agree, this is part of the reason I love the dungeons, dragons, and spaceshuttles so much, because it puts an emphasis on exploring first
@N -R Mnecraft is adding armor modifications and you’re saying adding a few more weapon types is too much?
@pᴉʞxolqoɹpǝɹǝƃƃᴉɹt I didnt say it should be like RLCraft, in that modpack you have a constant resting pulse of 120. Im just saying MC could make use of more weapons. The game became much more like an adventure with recent updates, weapons should follow now. Only the standard sword is a bit boring.
@CODA Creepers blowing up your house is no where as stressful and overwhelming as RLCraft. Vanilla Minecraft shouls not become anywhere near as complex as RLcraft, although I do think that Minecraft could benefit from some of the features in RLCraft.
@N -R Minecraft has made it clear with all the recent updates that its supposed to become more of an adventure game. The next logical step would be adding more variety in weapon choice. After you've gotten iron Armor, the game pretty much becomes boring.
This seems like one of the cooler updates in a video game recently honestly
@Gyarik how does that make any sense😭
Cherry blossom biome is coming to Minecraft vanilla as well :)
@Chilled Bacon that’s true and they work on other games in the process so it’s not all on one game. They have dungeons, earth, and now legends to focus on. I kinda forgot about that too lol
@WordedHalo they could probably do more without having to go through the corporate ladder for each idea or fix. theres a reason companies are way slower to make changes and whatnot, and its usually because it has to run through like 50 different people before being approved. it might be an easy thing to implement, but to get it authorized is a pain in the ass (from what i understand. im no game dev, but i understand a bit about what can go on behind the scenes). the nice thing about modders is that they dont have to go through the ladder shenanigans and can implement whatever since they have so much freedom
@Chilled Bacon that’s absolutely true but at the same time Minecraft is getting paid to do the work they do and a lot at that. And I don’t know about game design but compared to other games it doesn’t seem like the hardest work. I just feel like they could be doing more considering they’re like the most played game ever
They should definitely do this with weapons/tools next!
They need to add trims for shields now like that would be awesome
@icee martinez I am kiddin
@Inoki Fran Cae im not even a bedrock player
@Rocco Lowe bedrock users don't get that feature
@Rocco Lowe I think he means the grey/iron border of the shield, to make it gold
We should be able to use the echo shards for this!
Imagine Armor with trims that have that sculk-ish look to it! 😁
@Tsumugi the already kinda did that with the snout and eye templates, but I understand what you mean.
yeah, i hope they add that, and dimension themed templates too to look awesome
I think this will add a bit of flavor for multiplayer. instead of everyone running around in identical armor, you can identify your friends from a distance.
@hyucks_andkisses god and jesus merged together into the god christ, more powerful than even jeff bezos
until one specific trim becomes the meta and everyone uses it
If your in a SMP war everyone can be team color/trim
@CakeEatingPirate it may be possible for them to make their own trims, I don't think they will get out of their way to do that.
@Crabican would it work though? as in wouldn't they have to tweak the team colors to match up with the colors on the trimmings?
Worth pointing out that the Rib trim (the one that Jordan points out doesn't "pop" as much as he thought diamond would) actually makes the trim darker! All other materials used will have a darker tone when used with this smithing template. Quartz works amazingly well with the Rib trim for a skeletal armour type look :)
This gives me throwbacks to the minecraft story mode armor, can't wait for 1.20!
@Elias Gutierrez yeah those were cool
YES!!!!!
DUDEEE I ALWAYS WANTED TO HAVE THOSE
Just wanna mention that the rib trim seems to always have muted colors. So diamond will have more contrast on other trims.
This is actually such a nice, simple yet full options, kind of feature
You actually can put a netherite trim on netherite armor, and it looks slightly different to regular netherite armor. You do it by applying the trim to a piece of diamond armor and then upgrading the diamond armor to netherite.
I reckon a glow stone trim that produces light would be pretty nifty and a magma block would also make for a cool designed trim.
Hey a spino!
@private last if they'd use their brains, they'd probably use glow sacs for leather armour and glowstone for all the rest
Maybe add echo shards as a dark twinkle to contrast on light armor
@Booklat1 a billion dollar company takes way too long to produce minimal content.
I think they could use use glow ink sacs, glowstone dust, and magma blocks to get different color glows
lets not forget that you can mix and match armours with different patterns and colours which adds even more customizability
This reminds me of the Visual Enchantments mod, where enchantments changed the appearance of your armour depending on the type of enchantment. Giving you a wide range of customisability.
I love how this sends customizability through the roof. No more will your entire server look the same with the same old iron, then gold, then diamond gear. Everyone can look unique.
Wow insane that Minecraft is still receiving fairly big updates this much later after it's release, one game that really never did any wrong by anyone, always been good.
I may not play as much as I did when I was 12, if at all, but it's a cool game to go back to. Glad that every time I go back there is new stuff to explore
@benjamin martindale The PVP update is still my favorite change they implemented. I seriously don't understand why people are still so butthurt about it when it literally made the combat more engaging and fun?
@benjamin martindale i still dont get why people were so upset. Like sure, everyone was used to simply spam clicking, but surely a more skill based pvp system would be something to be thankful for? Only real issue is crystal pvp to be honest
only bad thing they did was the pvp update a while back, that really killed a chunk of the community when they did that.
Think about Skyrim, 11th november 2011 release and still a big thing, especially in the modding community.
But yeah Minecraft is also a interesting phenomenon with that. :D
I'm playing it personally most of the time with mods as well since I consider Vanilla MC more of the boring things, especially when it comes to automations and big chunk clearing 😂
I'd like to autofarm any resources (Diamonds are not real possible in vanilla yet, even tho they are pretty useless in vanilla terms beside getting your armor and tools, now they are needed at least for some armor decoration improvements which is good for me) and there are many mods to help you cleaning out big areas in nearly no time compared to doing it on your own beside a Haste2 Beacon for example ^^
I absolutely love this addition!! A unique item that makes you explore and fight bosses! Love it
I'm really hoping they apply this to tools as well because it would make it so much easier to tell between your silk touch pickaxe and your fortune pickaxe, and especially easier to find which tools are yours when your friend picks up your items when you die.
@SprayInk & CritGlitch I made 11 unique sword trims in a pixel art program to try it out. It's definitely doable on swords. Tools is a bit trickier I'll admit. Though on tools the color coding is more interesting than unique patterns. Maybe 1 specific tool pattern found in villages?
@Wivd Naming them still requires you to mouse over them, while color coding is visible at first glance. I color code my shulker boxes too, so why not make my fortune pick green, and silk touch blue?
just name ur tools when you enchant them cuz then its only 1 more enchant level.
@SprayInk & CritGlitch Handles?? Idk lol
how and where.
tools are between 1 and 3 pixels wide.
While it is a little more expensive and rare to find these things it will be so much fun customizing armor and I'm glad mojang is starting to make diamonds have more use in the game, instead of just collecting dust in the chest
A little, try more than double. A full set of diamond armour and tools (excluding the hoe) is 33 diamonds. With this new update the cost of those same items in netherite is now 82 diamonds and that’s just standard netherite with no trim. They’ve made netherite stupid expensive for a feature that is purely cosmetic
Netherite shouldn’t require a template it should work just like before and then the trim can be an optional addition. Because as it stands you’re going to spend 82 diamonds just getting full netherite gear, then you have to get the trim you want then duplicate it 4 times which is an additional 28 diamonds for a grand total of 110 diamonds
Or you can try and find 8 netherite upgrades and 4 of whatever trim you want but that’s going to be complete RNG and take who knows how long. A fortune enchanted pick would be faster and more consistent
I think there should be an ability to "coat" armor as well, coating works like dyeing leather, in that you coat your armor in a different material like you can do here with trims to change its color (corresponding to the armors color, so netherite armor thats coated would appear darker than expected due to netherite being a darker material)
My first thought when I saw gold trim was, "Will the gold trim make it so Piglins won't attack you as if you wore gold armor?"
In my opinion, this is the greatest update ever! It adds many options to customise your armor and make it look way better; the golden netherite and amatyst armor sets look amazing!
Hands down one of the best cosmetic updates, my man you know how long it’s been since we all wanted something like this.
This is going to lead to crazy armor hall challenges
@Werewolf turtle master helm?
@Samir Pernell I know, that number is without trims. Just dyes
Xisumas video said theres 616 combos because you can put it on the turtle master helm, he also made a short showing them all m
@Cubedex With every combo of trims
@Baggerz may satan bless you
I think it would be nice if different armour trims and their materials would give bonus's to the armour set which would allow better incentive to hunt down these armour trims
That would be the bare minimum considering they just jacked up the price of full netherite armour from 24 diamonds to 45 for no reason. It’s literally going to cost 82 diamonds for full netherite armour and all 3 tools plus a sword. That doesn’t include the trim by the way which you would need to dupe 4 times for an additional 28 diamonds
Or you could rely on RNG and just hope you get lucky and find the 8 netherite upgrades and 4 trims you need to avoid paying the duplication cost
I agree, it would be really nice if the trims had minor status effects that corresponded to their location. It would also be awesome if the smithing table could be used to bring weaker armor and tools closer to the standard of neatherite at an appropriate cost of course. There should also be an option to remove the shimmer from enchantments entirely because the armor sets look really clean without it. I hope they do a lot more with letting players choose what armor they want to wear because they’ve definitely just opened that door.
armor meta
This is genuinely awesome. I can see how this can be good for things like factions servers, or rp servers like Dream SMP where different trims and colors could be used to represent different factions or nations
imagine all the cool rooms you could do with all the armor combinations in the game, that would be so viby, like a treasure room kinda
This is gonna be great for faction type servers and "clan" wars. Its also a nice way to wrap the color of your base around what you wear to explore.
Would be a nice addition to be able to apply more patterns to armors similar to banners with the loom. But just the trims as is are already a nice direction for the future of MC
I can feel the "Get every armor trim in the game" achievement coming for me.
@MarpyPlarpy okay that’s a perfect achievement name. “Cover Me In… Everything?” sounds so much like an actual advancement
maybe not for every type of armour, just every type of trim
@MarpyPlarpy yeah mine sounds like a trophy for PlayStation
@dr. rio forever another cool name for it could be "Cover Me In... Everything"
how about the name "artist" for the achievement
Sidenote: 6:55 Different trims applies color differently. Rib trim give of a less vibrant color no matter what material you use, therefore diamond looks less vibrant in this case
It would be nice if you could have the option of the trim colour affecting the enchantment colour, though maybe i'm reaching too far with that. It seems like the purple could clash with some the look some people want.
I think you got confused with the materials that get applied to the armors. The different templates will define the pattern the armor will have, but then you can use any other mineral to apply the color. There are patterns which make diamond look really good.
This looks like straight out of a 2014 modpack
Love it
This is really just that cosmetic update no one knew they needed, i am exited for the trims!
This’ll be really fun for faction servers.
@Splashyatom431 the pharaoh
@A guy on the internet use different colors for every factions and different trims for every job inside the faction
This would be perfect for faction servers!!
gonna update my server when this update drops immediately lol
@A guy on the internet itd be cool to have the same color for each faction but different trims for individual team members within that faction so everyone can tell each other apart
To add another function to the smithing table, they should make rosegold armor that you can get by upgrading gold armor with copper ingots or something. It would make copper more useful too
I really want the option to put trims on leather armour. Combining them dyed armour pieces would create some really nice uniforms.
For everyone wondering, to use the snapshot, if it isn't working, before you make the world, go to data packs and enable the 1.20 experimental features.
It would be cool if they were to make the different trims do different things like giving the tide water breathing, or the wild the ability to jump further or run faster. I would make a list of things the armor types could do but I don't have that kind of time
would be cool if you could also find an "upgrade trim" that in combination with a material would give you a unique ability but wouldn't change the looks of the armour (you could combine 1 "visual trim" with 1 "upgrade trim" )
Glad they’re putting more customization into the game along to go along with banner shields :)
@Delayed I know that. Not everyone has a cape though, and default elytras are ugly
@Witch Crona if you have a cape then the elytra takes on the design of the cape, it's pretty cool looking
@Tyler Sutton exactly, reasons we are incapable of fathoming.
I hope custom elytras are next
@Hypertek Extinctionno NBT data tags in bedrock
I really enjoy the little stuff because it all eventually adds up just like every other update. But at the same time, people really look more into the BIGGER updates like the caves and cliffs, the deep dark, the nether, etc. So I hope they keep it up on and make the next big update something noice😎
It would be cool if the trims applied a certain buff depending on the trim theme
efects for each would be nice. like for the desert trim you get some movment speed on sand and the nether armor gies you fire resistance
Seems like a neat idea, kind of a shame they don’t have with unique buffs, even tiny ones but still cool
Honestly is not, i think is way better they don't having habilitys
This is insane! I always felt like the netherite part is a bit boring from the point where you are full netherite. Also Elder Guardians are finally worth hunting down, it always felt like ocean monuments were just something to pass by since 8 gold blocks weren't worth the frustration of mining fatigue...
If this feature gets a bit optimized and the dupe gets fixed, Minecraft will finally (hopefully) be a fun grind like back in the days and I really miss that!
I really hope they add echo shards as a trim option and have it pulse like the skulk. That’d be really cool.
@Jedian we do💀.
@Jedian play rlcraft, look into it seriously, it's basically a whole other game in itself and you'd probably like something like that.
@Jedian you do realize that Minecraft is a sandbox game. Any content added, even if just cosmetic, is content. Sometimes they create nice new mechanics, other times their uses are niche and some times they don't have any technical use and are purely for looks.
Minecraft is about creativity and innovation. You kinda create your own content. If by "actual content" you mean redstone stuff, well, we've had at least 1 game altering change per update. If you mean new biomes, why? It's quite a balanced amount and the only reason to add a new biome is for new building blocks, which you stated to not really like anyway. World generation has been revamped, villager trading still receives slight adjustments.
So really, what is this "actual" content if it's not the above? New mobs? Those aren't really interesting unless you add new drops, and new drops leads to new building blocks and cosmetics.
A new dimension? That's gonna take quite a bit of work, especially since The End needs a visual update(which is also basically cosmetic and only adds new building blocks), let alone that a new dimension would just add that, new blocks and cosmetics. Maaaaaybe a boss fight, but all bossfights in Minecraft can be cheesed.
@Jedian I can understand you, maybe you should try out some Modpacks then. There are some "Hardcore Survival" Modpacks where you need to manage for Thirst, Hunger (eating the same all the time is not possible), Temperatures, etc
Also Mobs can be stronger, in hordes, better AI, etc
Thanks to modded MC a big chunk of players are still playing this game I believe, including me.
For me personally, I like the idea of customizing your armor (and hopefully Tools and Weapons too soon)
But since I play mostly in singleplayer (I don't like playing on "official" servers, mostly the good stuff is simply banned for reasons) or with a few friends (which doesn't really like Modpacks) there's no direct sense for me in it, but it's still nice2have for me.
@Jedian my guy just mod your game
I also like the gold trim because of the way netherite ingots are made being a gold and ancient debris alloy so it's almost like the gold showing in the netherite
i made my own combination of trims, you put tidal on the helmet, wild on the chestplate, tidal on the leggings, and eye on the boots. it makes for a cool set in my opinion.
this honestly feels like a mod, excited to experience this
I was hoping to see these different templates actually have each of their own specific functions. For example the template you get from the elder guardian lets you do more damage while in water. Something simple that makes each of these templates not only aesthetically pleasing, but functional in their own ways.
Perhaps you could modify the armour eventually. Into the Medium Armour (what we have) then like a Heavy and Light ones. Heavy gives more hearts perhaps and light gives a little bit more movespeed or something? Or it could just be cosmetic, that'd be neat too.
7:16 You can apply netherite patterns to netherite armor if you apply the netherite trim pattern on the diamond armor before upgrading it. A lot of them have very subtle variations you wouldn't notice, but the vex pattern makes the netherite chestplate look like it just survived an explosion.
Even if they do remove that, you’ll probably be able to get it with commands if you want it for map making
@A guy on the internetto be fair, if a bugs cool enough it becomes a feature. For example, crawling.
@Imagine_Big Yeah, like how the Illusioner or Johnny Vindicator are easter eggs, probably should've used Easter egg than secret
@Mahmoud Ahmed All the armor trims except the diamond to netherite gear upgrade are cosmetic
is it just for customization or you get increased stats from it?
idk if it's been mentioned already but re the colour of diamond looking close to lapis: this is because you used it on the rib trim, and all the colours show up notably darker on that one. it's an interesting choice and kinda a shame that it's the only one - it would have been cool to see even just one that went lighter/brighter than the default colours
This is one of the best updates we've had in years
Imagine if they added custom enchant glints so you can match them to your preferred trim
This is just answering the question of "how much drip can we give our players" and I'm so excited to see what kind of mix and match shenanigans can be made
This update is great also because it gives diamonds more use and value. There was a while when diamonds got kind of under-utilized
thank you mr sparklez for reviewing the insane armor
@PeChips thanks!
@Craftimus you have to enable the "update_1_20" data pack on the world creation screen
whats going on? I'm playing on snapshot 23w04a but theres no smithing templat
This is the end for optifine cit resource pack creators
No because then everyone will have the same one
If it’s purely cosmetic everyone will have a different one
this is my fav update. also, i recomend coastal with emerald, it is so vibrant, and just looks SO GOOD.
would be sick if they added stats depending on the material you trim with
I love that they're making armor customizable, but I honestly wish it had some functionality to it, so depending on what trim you used the armor would serve a different purpose or give different benefits
@laddershuffle maybe like an option to use the ability of a trim on a color you like so everyone doesn't use the same trim
@Financial Problems thats true, Maybe they could give all of them a durability buff for adding a trim and a collor. It wil all be the same so it gives good incentive but it would be fun to make it usseful
I'm inclined to agree but then everyone will just pick the objectively best set and there would be no point in using other variances
this looks so cool! I want this kind of armor immediately, but I'm too lazy
Would be sick if the different armor templates gave the players buffs for having an entire set, like the full wild armor set would give you a haste buff like what a beacon does, but passively, the tide gives you water breathing, etc. Just because there doesn't seem to be a purpose for all of this apart from being purely cosmetic; I think it'd make it a lot more fun to give me a reason to actually get different sets with different upgrade patterns.
One thing that will make the enchanted version of these armors wayy better is if the trims have their own glow or shine corresponding to the color it is whenever its enchanted !.. Almost like neon strips on your armor.. Might look VERY COOL !
@Ville Linnros thanks!
That might be hard to code, but probably not impossible. And as others have said, worst case if you want it to glow, could make the glow ink sac more useful by making the trim glow, so combining that with enchanting could have some really cool effects!
@Craftimus its a built in datapack that you have to turn on
Maybe we can use glow inc sacs to make the armor glow and normal inc sac to remove the glow
whats going on? I'm playing on snapshot 23w04a but theres no smithing templat
I think the choice to make Netherite slightly more difficult to get was a good call. I felt as if it was a little too easy before.
i've never gotten netherite lol
idea that would make it actually worth is: each trim gives a unique upgrade to the armour piece like tide giving extra damage in water and snout giving extra knockback
They should make it able to glow from glow squids, and make a dye able version to get the full color range! Please!!!
That doesn’t really make sense though, I mean the glow kinda does but really they should add glow to leather armor only
Oh dang...This was my main selling point on Leather armor (the fact that you can customize the colors), but this changes EVERYTHING!
Genuinely thought this was a mod at first lol. Actually hyped for this.
I'm excited for this, but also worried it's going to make netherrite even more grindy than it currently is. HOWEVER, this is a step in the right direction
This will be useful for team games since you can have everyone have the same variety of armor but with a different trim for each team. Like diamond trim for blue team, gold trim for yellow team, etc.
@_JLC you can add an Unbreakable tag if you need infinite durability, but yeah as for adding more finite durability, you cant
You can even do teams by trim color and classes for games that have loadouts/classes with the trim type.
@Diego
I bet when they added shulkers you were like:
“oH LiKe tHe iNvEnToRy AlReAdY pRoViDeD???”
@PixelGMS you can modify the stats of leather armor using commands(cant for durability tho)
but its useful if people make minigames in survival, and aesthetics
@Diego but now you have armor points
I mean this is pretty cool. I would like, ideally, for this system to become close in function to Tinkers or Tetra. The upgrades and accents look nice but I want to feel like I'm fine-tuning my armor for function, not just making it look pretty.
i realy like the look of the new armor, but does it also have a practical use? that would be VERY cool.
each type of the template if you have the full set of that specific template gives buffs too but instead of protection or bonus damage or anything like that some give extra hearts or a weak regeneration or if a mob hits you it might push everything away from you or even stuff like gives an extra level to certain enchantments like imagine unbreaking 4. i also feel like would be good to add to the smithing table is chestplate elytra but make it super expensive so it takes longer to achieve and get rid of the duping system so people are more prone to explore and its like a final upgrade to your armor and weapons. if they do this right it could be the biggest update in gear sinse netherite
They basically added Philza‘s netherite armor and tools texture as a feature with more customizations, I love it and this also gives diamonds more uses since it had fallen off since netherites introduction
I feel like this could be a use for growth in the actual game, more armor options could open up options for buffs, certain armors being better than others, enchantments being better compatible with certain armors, set bonuses, a ton of interesting things. Then could grow the game from there, add more content, more enemies, places to go, things to do.
Would be nice to see some wandering trader specific trims and when they add archeology, some prehistoric trims.
@Mr. Surname bruh i forgot where i put 18 stack diamond
and 7 stack emerald
i shold make auto sorter
last i seen yesterday
@LODЯYИS Who does care that it's 48 emeralds when you can get multiple stacks of emeralds easily in few minutes
@Neon avg skyblock player
@Neon Welcome to piglin trading, any villager trading hoping to get what you want, mob drops, chest loot, literally all of minecraft
@Atom i play java
my base is near swamp but mushroom in swamp only in bedrock
nearest dark oak is 4k block away from my base
i still trying to figure out why i cant place mushroom near my base to make mushroom farm
It would be cool if the trims gave different effects, like a 5% speed boost for Redstone or something
I find this really cool because it gives diamonds more use in the very late endgame stages, so it doesn't just pile up uselessly
Fun Fact: The rib trim makes all ores darker.
Also, Tide trim has a 20% to drop lol
It would be cool if certain armor trims offered small additions like you’ll be mining one minute and all of a sudden you get a small burst of haste.
It would be really cool if each armor type had special effects.
Actually the diamonds look a lot more "diamondy" if you use other patterns. That specific one just makes it rly dark for some reason.
if you use the rib pattern with quartz on netherite, the helmet looks like a wither skull.
that was probably the direction they were going for.
perhaps they wanted to make the fortress trim look worn and battle-torn
Great for team colours and that extra customisation. The extra requirements for netherite armour kinda makes sense but its not so great making something more time consuming
This is pretty cool. It feels like tinkers construct is slowly being made into vanilla.
I've heard complaints about how netherite shouldn't cost so much more diamond, but I think it is a good choice because it lets the netherite upgrade feel like an actual upgrade. Normally people spend very little time in diamond gear and usually jump to netherite as soon as they can. After getting diamond gear, we now have a reason to keep mining diamonds.
i thought this was a mod at first glance nope its official I'm so finally excited to get vanilla armor upgrades like this and to me they look fantastic!
throws me back to the mod showcases! The new sets look sick
I should mention this in my investigations, rib trim darkens all the colors, in fact all of the trim templates have slight changes to the colors. so diamond is really vibrant with other templates. i personally love the gold rib trim it gives a rusted orange and its gorgeous
@A guy on the interneteh. The emerald is better.
of course you love the gold trim. Everyone loves a gold trim
It would be really cool if they added buffs for each template that buffed you at the location you find the templates. Like +1 damage or defense in fortresses or end cities or whatever, like yeah now its harder to get but its even better and there's more than cosmetic incentive to collect all templates
The gold trims gave me nostalgia to Minecraft Story Mode, finding that Golden Armor before fighting the giant rock golem. Good times, and an incredible new addition
This is really cool, bet they're gonna love this for tournaments and team based stuff on servers
I love how Minecraft is constantly making the game better and listening to feedback from it's community. W Game
What if the armor trim had effects with each trim. That would be awesome.
I think it’s awesome that you get the different designs from all over the place so you really have to adventure everywhere to collect them all
for a long time now I've been using a mod to make armor invisible simply because I prefer looking at my skin rather than the same armor for the 2000th time but now I'll definitely have to take off that mod, these are so sick
i'm curious what they'll look like when they're enchanted. the purple glow might make it more obscure to notice the trims but an easy fix that comes to mind would be customizable color glows
In the same update, they reduced the enchantment glow just for this very reason.
i hope they also make it so that different templates gives you additional boosts to your armors and possibly tools if they add that in.
