Putin's allies set for mega wargames as NATO 'provocations' trigger bigger conflict threat | Details

  • Published on Feb 13, 2023 veröffentlicht
  • As the Ukraine war is set to enter its second year, Russia has warned against NATO's direct involvement in a conflict against Moscow, which is "becoming more obvious by the day." The warning came after NATO's Secretary General openly said that "war didn't start in February 2022 but has been ongoing since 2014." Russia has significantly increased its operations in Ukraine. And now, key Russian allies are all set to take part in a joint military drill that comes amid the growing threat of a bigger conflict as NATO continues to "provoke." Belarus, a close Russian ally, will host this year’s collective security treaty organisation (CSTO) military exercises, said the head of the regional defence alliance. Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan will all participate in the mega joint military exercise amid the growing threat of a bigger conflict.

There's no greater provocation than invading another country. Russia should give up on its imperialism and start to try to live in peace with other countries, as the other former Warsaw Pact countries have.

So NATO has been building up Ukrainian military power since 2014 thus making Ukraine better prepared to response to Russian attack in 2022. But does that mean that NATO would have continued to do so even if Russian spec-op had never happened? What was the true purpose of militarizing Ukraine, Mr.. Stoltenberg?

They don't have thé weapons to attack a country thé size and strength of Russia. For that they would need alot more long range Rockets and many more fighter jets,it would be almost impossible to arm Ukriane to this level. Thé more modern weapons we have in thé West are not in Ukraine yet. So there is no proof at all for you're statement.

The separatists didn't allow it to be implemented, they were after Russian support to get them control of all of Luhansk and Donetsk, which is why they kept the conflict active as best they could until Russia invaded in February. Separatist forces have suffered disproportionately and Russia has tried to annexed those separatist territories, so the separatists probably got a few regrets now for encouraging the February Russian invasion.

The United States delivered to the Soviet Union from October 1, 1941, to May 31, 1945, the following: 427,284 trucks, 13,303 combat vehicles of which 4,102 M4A2 medium tanks were sent to the Soviet Union. Of these, 2,007 were equipped with the original 75 mm main gun, with 2,095 mounting the more-capable 76 mm tank gun. The total number of Sherman tanks sent to the U.S.S.R. under Lend-Lease represented 18.6% of all Lend-Lease Shermans.[14 , 35,170 motorcycles, 2,328 ordnance service vehicles, 2,670,371 tons of petroleum products (gasoline and oil) or 57.8 percent of the aviation fuel including nearly 90 percent of high-octane fuel used,[35] 4,478,116 tons of foodstuffs (canned meats, sugar, flour, salt, etc.), 1,911 steam locomotives, 66 diesel locomotives, 9,920 flat cars, 1,000 dump cars, 120 tank cars, and 35 heavy machinery cars. Provided ordnance goods (ammunition, artillery shells, mines, assorted explosives) amounted to 53 percent of total domestic consumption.[35] One item typical of many was a tire plant that was lifted bodily from the Ford Company's River Rouge Plant and transferred to the USSR. The 1947 money value of the supplies and services amounted to about $11 billion.[65]
In June 1941, within weeks of the German invasion of the USSR, the Anglo-Soviet Agreement was made and the first British aid convoy set off along the dangerous Arctic Sea route to Murmansk, arriving in September 1941.
Between June 1941 and May 1945, Britain delivered to the USSR:
    3,000+ Hurricane aircraft
    4,000+ other aircraft
    27 naval vessels
5,218 tanks (including 1,380 Valentines from Canada)
    5,000+ anti-tank guns
    4,020 ambulances and trucks
323 machinery trucks (mobile vehicle workshops equipped with generators and all the welding and power tools required to perform heavy servicing)
1,212 Universal Carriers and Loyd Carriers (with another 1,348 from Canada)
    1,721 motorcycles
£1.15bn ($1.55bn) worth of aircraft engines
    1,474 radar sets
    4,338 radio sets
600 naval radar and sonar sets
    Hundreds of naval guns
    15 million pairs of boots
In total 4 million tons of war material including food and medical supplies were delivered. The munitions totaled £308m (not including naval munitions supplied), the food and raw materials totaled £120m in 1946 index. In accordance with the Anglo-Soviet Military Supplies Agreement of June 27, 1942, military aid sent from Britain to the Soviet Union during the war was entirely free of charge.
Lend/Lease act of 1941 in equivelant dollars = $183-187 Billion.
Lend/Lease act of 2022 is $800 Billion, or roughly 4x the credit line the USSR had in WW2. The $45Billion aid package is not included in lend/lease, aid packages are not loans, they are gifts. This war is just starting.

And after 1945 to repay the support Russia adopted a policy of Communist imperialism in Eastern Europe, subjugating the countries it occupied during the war. When the Soviet Union collapsed most of those subjugated countries didn't want anything more to do with Russia, much preferring the democracy and freedom that people in the West have. Only the authoritarian regimes of Belarus and other former Soviet republics continue to be allies of Moscow, along with places like North Korea.

The bottom line is that Russia has put forward a plausible claim under the doctrine of predictive collective self-defense, originally devised by the US and NATO, as it relates to Article 51, which is based on fact, not fiction.
Article 51 of the UN Charter states that "nothing in this Charter shall interfere with the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence."…

    • Andrew Worth
Andrew Worth 3 months ago +1

"Individual or collective self defense" Ukraine is acting in self defense, other countries are making those efforts in self defense collective. For this war to end all that is required is for Russia to end its imperialist aggression and send its army back home. That would make everyone but Putin the gangster and his sycophants happier.

    • Andrew Worth
Andrew Worth 3 months ago +1

      Article 51
"Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security."
      So who invaded who?

    • Rodrigo BG
Rodrigo BG 3 months ago +5

@Andrew Worth Russia did not cause this war, but the main culprits are known. This is primarily Germany and France with the support of the United States, when European states as guarantors did not force Ukraine to abide by the Minsk agreements. Russia protects its security and has warned everyone that it will not tolerate the killing of Russian minorities in the Donbass and the entry of Ukraine into the NATO criminal pact!!!

    • Andrew Worth
Andrew Worth 3 months ago +1

@Rodrigo BG no one invaded Russia, Russia first tried to stop a cooperation agreement between the EU and Ukraine, Russia then supported a separatist guerrilla war in Ukraine, Russia then gave assurances that it had no intention of invading Ukraine, Russia then invaded Ukraine.

    • Andrew Worth
      Andrew Worth 3 months ago

@Rodrigo BG the Donbass conflict had declined rapidly in intensity since 2014, in 2019, 2020 and 2021 the number of civilian deaths on both sides that resulted from active military operations was 10, 9 and 13. Compare that to the 2000 civilian deaths in 2014, the 900 in 2015 and the tens of thousands since the February Russian invasion.

🤣 you're a funny guy. The only way Russia could defeat the US is with nukes but that would mean the end of Russia and everyone else on earth. US citizens alone could defeat the Russian army

Currently the U.S is suffering a ammo shortage for heavy guns . American economy doesn't allow factories to sit idle. So not profitable. Most ammo manufacturers only scale factories based on demand. Ukraine is using 60 times that. For the U.S to be able to increase manufacturering there has to be a large domestic demand to pay for more factories to be built. To do this the U.S will have to ditch most gun control laws . This increases demand domestically.

    CNN: Ukraine is winning
Ukraine: We can win when we receive F16 fighter jets, submarines, tomahawks, Abram tanks etc
US: You will get all you requested in several months time if we are sure that there are Ukrainians still alive to operate them.

Nato must proceed to supply Ukraine with lethal weapons with no show of slowing down. You must show to Putin that Nato will support Ukraine whatever is the cost. Again and again do not be afraid of Putin when Putin issued a threat you should also response with a threat. Nato should do a tit for tat with Putin. Do not be always defensive, do not be passive against Putin. You must also issued offensive threats against Putin. That is the way to reply against Putin.

    • bubacarr kolley

      @Tee Brain,
It's impossible for NATO to defeat Russia. Russia has Nuclear Weapons, so it would be stupid for NATO to fight or think they could win against Russia.
Russia is struggling against Ukraine because Ukraine is getting military weapons support, hence Russia is struggling. NATO struggled against the Talibans, and eventually lost the war without Talibans getting external support. NATO isn't what the media tells you.
