I guess if that grenade was real Steve wouldn’t have the guts to go to war eh?
😂😂😂
He will be well this is it for my body
😂
Steve didnt care about that
😂😂
RIP to my cousin Jason Lee Dunham for doing exactly this in Iraq 2004. You saved goo dsoliders, and did your family proud. Thank you for your sacrifice. Uncle Jeff, and aunt Des miss you.
Im smoking Jason Lee Dunham pack tonight
@mahmoud Saie preach, we had no right entering Iraq. For some reason no one ever asks why we destroyed everything except for the Energy Industry when we came.... hm...
@sbasha7 gotta be the most historically incorrect shit ever. Look Abu Ghraib SBasha, im serious take 20 seconds of your day to look it up and learn about what we did to civillians for fun. Look at the pictures of the soldiers doing these acts, and then look how they were criminally charged. We saved no one in iraq, we stole oil. Understand that
Does Des has insta ?
An act of valor is probably one the few things in this life that makes me get emotional everytime, doesn’t matter a movie scene or not . There have been so many individuals in a split second that have done this without hesitation.
Most end up dead
Please the name 🙏 of the movie 🎬 🎞
@mackhomie6 they sealed off the boiler with someone still inside the chamber. Another officer, presumably, broke protocol to save the person inside. They got a medal while the one that shut off the boiler room was labeled a coward.
This sounds like a group of submariners to me, or otherwise folks on a sea vessel.
Despite these funny comments I agree, I am laughing while teary eyed
Bro saw his chance to get medically discharged and didn’t waste a single second
I don’t think you have a full understanding of grenades lol
Lmao
Yeah medically discharged FOR LIFE ! 😂 he'd be spending his time 6 feet under though
@Temtech😂😂😂
You can just see, that was the moment she fell for him. They were the only two that rushed towards the grenade.
Thank you Mr. obvious.
@BCDpower facts*
Fax
Man showed true character, he was willing to die protecting people he barely knew, he was already a superhero
* hero... superhero has powers.
No it is training Location matters
@Xavier Torres lying down with closed feet though, you should be able to avoid shrapnel hitting any vital organs plus you might also get lucky and not get injured at all, if everyone was trying to be a hero like Steve, soldiers will be dying left and right for no reason whatsoever, infact PTSD and depression is what would most likely motivate Steve Rogers actions IRL war.
@Donny_Double_Dip 1. A grenade is a bomb 2. The kill radius of a grenade is fifteen feet the blast/injury radius is 45 feet. So some people definitely would have been penetrated by the shrapnel and possibly some fatally injured. 3. Being a "grenadier" i thought you would know that and not leave out that important information.
Plot Twist: Steve really didn’t care for his squad and was just feeling suicidal
Haha 😂
🤣🤣🤣
You have to be semi suicidal to understand this kind of sacrifice. Its not out of hate or depression, it's rather knowing you went out doing the right thing.
Lol
😂😂
There was a guy in the US army who actually died doing this to save his team. Incredible to think that kind of courage and selflessness really did exist once upon a time.
This comment is disrespectful af 😂
Still exists. Cpl. Jason Dunham 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines did this exact thing in Iraq in 2004 and perished. On Iwo Jima in WW2 Pfc. Jack H. Lucas did this and survived with serious injuries.
Both of them received the Medal of Honor and have had Arleigh Burke class destroyers named after them.
Read about eastern front WW2
@dee1888ie Marine
I went to the museum of African American history in DC with my mother and on 1 of the floors had the names of so many solders that died in battle and so many people had purple hearts awarded to them in death for jumping on grenades...makes u appreciate life more and the true concept of team, care and loving your neighbor
Man really just wanted to sacrifice himself during a training session
@BMO g
Bc he was being selfless and not being afraid to die bc he knew it was for good purpose after wards if was enemy there would be a gun fight and he had saved or tried to save the better troops
@Louis He not applicable In every situation
If you wouldn’t sacrifice yourself for 25 people then idk what’s going through your head
@Brapples The first thing they teach you is also to run if there is a grenade
The dumbest thing a soldier can do. After he regret it eternally.
And in that moment he became Captain America
@DeadSoon 😂😂😂😂😂
@DeadSoon XD
@Mohaz Yussuf Shrek 2
What is the name of the movie
And in that moment, he became the Dancing Queen. Young and sweet, only 17.
Can we just all take one second and comprehend that there were ACTUALLY some men in WWII that jumped onto grenades to save their brothers... Thank you for your service
In ww2 you either died slowly by bullets, extreme cold, starvation, painful disease or torture by enemy. If you were lucky you were hit by the blast of a bomb. Most jumping on a grenade just wanted it to be over equally quick. That is the truth.
Some did it in every war not jus WWII
here I felt good for holding the door for someone earlier
@vergil so what? So what? They aren't completely different topics. And use your emotes right. 💀 Is usually used to point out something bad and mock them. That's why people are mad at you. If you had just remove those emotes
Yes. Their certainly where
But some comments put a light side to the nightmare
I smiled.
“I’d rather be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.”
That’s when u look at him and say “damn boy they got you brainwashed.”
Ngl, that was the perfect way to introduce Steve.
@Mikey Gieles i mean, maybe? if we're gonna take this scene logically and realistically (which we shouldnt) this is a split-second decision, an act or die situation, there is no thinking involved here as there is no time to do so, which is why the grenade works so well to tell you what kind of person someone really is, reiterating; Steve is selfless, and this scene shows it, call it stupid if you wish, but if it means saving others, putting their lives before yours is an extremely noble thing to do.
@AlanFranma as all the solidiers did by the time cap reached the grenade everybody was allready behind a car
and either way, the explanation that there wasnt much to do there to survive without someone jumping on the grenade, *doesnt matter all that much.*
It's a movie about a small guy with a big heart who gets his chance to bring good to the world, and this scene is excellent storytelling, everything else is nitpicking, which is fine but dumb to argue, specially to criticize Steve's character
@Mikey Gieles Considering how open the area was, if it was a real grenade, there is barely safe distance you can go to by simply running, the strategy to avoid being killed by a grenade is not to run; it is to take cover
Real respect for that man right there
This is the moment Steve Rogers became Captain America
become ? no , He earn that title !!
Movie name pls
*grenade explodes and Roger's guts strewn all over the place
The guy: Huh... He's got guts
Lol
I've never been more wrong I'm my whole LIFE
🤣🤣🤣
@CodyBryant 95 got*
Oh no🤣🤣🤣🤣💥💥
And that is why he was worthy to possess the powers of thor
If he took these acts of nobleness into the battlefield he wouldn’t have made it to endgame
All jokes asides, whoever did this during the wars is an absolute legend. Nothing more honorable than putting your life on the line to save other lives.
We don't speak of those who took acts of bravery we just salute in pain and glory
I agree with you 💯. My great grandfather fought on Omaha Beach and in his journal he talked about his best friend throwing himself on a grenade and lost an arm and a leg
OORAH 🇺🇲 🇺🇲 🇺🇲 🇺🇲
@Htay Aung Why did you have to go there 😂
Exact opposite for japanese
One line -
"Looks weak yet dares to face the consequences"
It's amazing that Steve is willing to sacrifice himself for his teammates at the start, when he ultimately makes the same decision by crashing.
"Steve is so tired so he see the chance to rest forever"
Interesting.
@Md Muzammil Memon You're laughing at the joke or the English ?
😅
@COSMUSIC first avenger
You Got 10k Likes For Your Comment...its Amazing Dude. From India 🇮🇳
Sacrifice is the greatest form of love
A true soldier
" Not a perfect soldier, but a good man "
@Cassandra Thomas a soldier shouldn’t blindly get himself killed though everyone there would’ve survived
That's exactly what they teach you ,in the past anyway,
@Cassandra Thomas in the movie he means perfect as in perfect shape or build
Perfect soldier but an even better man
And with a brain...everyone else tried to climb the flagpole to get the "flag"...Roger's just pulled the pin, let the pole fall and walked away with the "flag"
I did this in Basic and the drill Sergeant yelled "Dead" 😂
>kicks the grenade back to the sargeant
Lesson: He was captain America b4 he was captain America
@Aush Begosh woaahhh bro..... you just let your dark intrusive thoughts out
He was suicidal
@Christopher Tracy ummm why??
@Chaitanya Laddha Woaaaahhh! You couldnt have come up with a better comment for Adlin Zailin?
lol
That is when he became worthy to lift Mjolnir
this took "with guts" to another world
*Meanwhile in a different timeline: He Actually Throws a Real Grenade*
@Rajith sardhar masya allah
Then he loses his guts
@OneOfOne NAH MAN!!! 🗿
@D Sanchez Peggy becomes captain carter because Steve is shot while getting the super soilder serum and Peggy gets it instead
Interesting.
Suicidal trainee: "Get away!! Get back!! Give me this moment, this sweet, sweet release!"
This is the kind of masculinity the world needs again. Not the trash they're pushing.
“Your injuries are not service related.”
Just had surgery on my face (service related) and I have never regretted laughing so fucking hard in my life.
People that say that, for stuff like this... trash.
😂😂
This is so true. The VA never take care of their people
Every depressed human being would have pick the same option 💀
there s a difference between being depressed, and wanting to die, you will be depressed while wanting to die, but you can be depressed without wanting to die
Always thought it was cool that you can see Peggy running to jump on it herself, Steve just beat her
That's when they fell in love
@Lazz Not just a Uniform, analyst Modern Patriarch dawg that's a fictional character
Yeah I didn’t caught that…
I thought modern women had more courage? Ha😊
Dude was literally trying to use his guts to save them
It's hard to believe there are people who would risk their lived to save other people. Lemme tell you about my Uncle. He was a firefighter. He did shit like that. I mean... he could've been a politician and got rich too. #ijs #passmemybeer

Since that moment he was worthy of picking up Mjolnir
The only man willing to sacrifice his life for others, no wonder he’s Captain America.
Tony sacrificed his own life for the universe
Americans actually do the reverse
In that moment, he can already lift mjolnir.
@Irfan Naufal pretty sure that I wasn't talking about mcu's thor
@philip junior better break bad
Reality
No. Odin cursed on mjolnir when he took thor powers in thor 1. Thats why loki was shocked thor can’t lifted mjolnir and neither he can. So before this anyone can lift mjolnir but it required a god to handle it since in love and thunder, thor explain why jane is dying
You don't have to be "worthy" To be able to lift it. According to the mythology it's just damn heavy
How did they not include the best line?! “He’s still skinny”. 😂
Even though this is a movie, it makes the hair stand up on the back of my arms. Simply knowing that this has happened, many times, where brave heroes have made the ultimate sacrifice to save others. The level of bravery required can not be surpassed.
I've seen a few people asking why they don't just throw it back... they generally have a 4 second fuse. It had been nearly 3 by the time it was by Steve. If he lifted it up he would have allowed it to detonate above all of his squad increasing its lethality.
Plus, he was surrounded by friendlies he didn't have time to guarantee he didn't just throw it at another squad 😅.
Legend says he was trying to avoid paying child support
They send a letter to your new job in heaven
💀💀💀💀💀
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yea he probably was😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This was a better scene than people know...
When Tommy yelled " Grenade"...
I felt that lol
Bro got the respect of everyone under a minute
@shoxko station what
wow 😂 so lifelike
@larsonlol being respected means being remembered. Thats literallly the the prime reason to live for. Death is the single moment that decides If your life made a real difference.
@larsonlol being respected means being remembered. Thats literallly the the prime reason to live for. Death is the single moment that decides If your life made a real difference.
Dunno if it’s the music but I got the chills Hahahha
Man deserves respect 🫡
Always remember this. -if you have a chances to run just run, running is not a cowardice but is also a self defense.
@a jar of dirt I don't see how that is dumb, it's a great and simple way to show what type of person Steve is, and why he was chosen to get the serum
@a jar of dirt dude. How was this a controlled situation?? all the soldier knew was that a grenade was thrown and only had 3 seconds to get out of there. Some got behind cover but some would have been in the blasts radius of a grenade (grenades can be tricky with Their blast radius, with some being very big and some benign small). There are many examples of this happening in the field, and even accidental examples in training, while those are far fewer. Idk why this would seem stupid as this is showing what could happen in the first: a grenade is thrown and you barley have any time to react, and one of your comrades might give their life to save yours.
@Hunter Hatheway yes comrade Stalin
Here the thing is everyone can't be alert in few seconds and if one sacrifice his/her life can save the lives of all the other soldiers
Yep. Just like taking cover from bullets is not cowardice, but self defence. Society really has some screwed up mindsets when it comes to war and "heroism".
Love at first sight is the vibe I’m getting so far 💀😂
Who the hell throws a live grenade in the middle of a US base in the middle of a training company?
She ran from a different direction than the sergeant was.... She's suicidal too, and she was about to tear up seeing his similar mindset
She was looking to rest with him peacefully.
@Nabil _7 bruh he trolling calm down
They are not suicidal they are saviours
Plot twist : Steve only kept the fake granade 😂
Now we know why he's worthy to lift mjolnir
Ps:Mjolnir have amnesia
Dude was ready to face Thanos army all alone with a broken sheild.
And was able to hold his own thanos was shocked by his strength that's what I like about captain america he gets stronger after a opponent hits him almost as strong as the opponent he adapts
Frrr
My all time favorite marvel movie!
HE CAN DO IT ALL DAY
THE GOAT
If my company isn't willing to jump on a grenade I'll just walk alone
Love this. The look in her eyes when she sees the heart of a brave man shine through
He thought Tommy said "Lemonade"
and tried to get it all for himself.
Steve Rogers was a stingy bastard...
(Captain America: The Thirst Avenger)
Wow I have more likes than I thought
Captain America the thirst avenger
😂😂😂
best comment on here 😭😭
Epic one
Tony Stark: Id just kick the grenade
That's someone you want to serve with someone willing to sacrifice their life to save others. That's a true soldier right there
How is he supposed to serve if he dies in fucking training camp lmao
"not the perfect soldier but a good man."
Movie Name
Movie name
@Robert Henry M. I saw a guy who was 6’10” one time. He didn’t cry though…
it's only a movie dude, chill
he is a true soldier
There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity
Remember there are soldiers that have jumped on real grenades to protect their brothers ,not for a medal not for honor not to win a war. just to save the men standing next to him , thank you to all veterans home and abroad
@Aaron Mcconnell thank you broo 💪
@Lyes Mouleriche this was from the first captain America movie
movie name please
@Fredrick Espositoyes it stops shrapnel and softens the explosion. Usually use the Kevlar for a chance of living
@Whirled Peas thank you for having the balls to defend us and having the balls to continue to defend us by telling us the truth. You are a true hero God bless
I love that guy
everytime i see this i get goosebumps
"You got guts, and guts is enough" --- R. Lee Ermey
Full Metal Jacket ❤️
R.I.P Gunny say hi to Chesty for the Devil Dogs still here.
I could watch this all day
Whats the name of the movie
It was this moment that proved he was worthy!
It was at this moment that Steve became Heisenberg.
@الله يهدينا فهو الخالق Muslim so Peaceful until there's no 72 Juicy Virgins in Heaven
Say my name
That experiment and elexir just gave him the body that his heart and spirit needed
They say he was still hurt behind his dog passing away…😢😢😢
Courage is not the absence of fear but the ability to take action in spite of it.
Courage IS not the absence of fear but the ability to take action on spite of it !
Courage is the lack of bravery to run away
There is no courage without fear.
Preach
Preach
Damn luckily his guts weren't taken that day ☠️
This remains the most human Marvel movie ever (apart from maybe Ironman 1)
Rogers heart Is pure gold mad respect
@It Was Me Barry What's your point? He never said he was a real person bro 💀
@It Was Me Barry omg really 🤯 I didn't know 🤯🤯🤯
@bob bob that’s a double negative, shame
@MrMadManc2 . the *character* of Steve Rogers (since that needs to be emphasized) has a heart of gold. The hell do *you* not understand?
The lady ran towards the grenade, too. That's why the vibe in the movie. She was hooked after that.
Well I guess they would have had a whole lot of Steve's guts splayed all over the training ground if that wasn't a dummy grenade
Love this scene. Really shows who Steve is even without the serum. He’s willing to save other regardless
Title of this movie pls
@David double D peggy ran to kick it
@D J Z🗿
What show or movie is this?
And this is why he's Captain America
Самый лучший, трогательный момент в этом фильме!! Супер!
Thing is, he was always worthy to pick up Mjolnir, wasn’t the serum. It was him
@The1 and onlyIron Man was never worthy, perhaps not even when he sacrificed himself for the universe.
@Nirmal Kirtisinghe what's
The movie Name bro is it Worthy?
Mjølner
@alone i go I answered that in another comment
@alone i go I think he was not wothy back then. But at the time of Endgame when he decided to help the Others and risk everything he got till the 5 years, then he was.
And this the Moment they knew they had their Captain America
This is where you find out WHO is who!!!...
The guy literally used his guts.
Bro its a movie, he knows its fake xD
Nice, you copied a comment for likes. Are you happy? 🤡🤡
It takes guts
71 likes no replies let me fix that
Now that ladies and gentlemen is why he is called Captain
I like that it has a double meaning. "You win wars with guts" literally and figuratively.
Captain obvious signing off 😐🤚
Plot twist: he actually just wanted an excuse to never do PT again
@Akash 🌝
@Nikola Tesla 😂awww
@Akash Aww so cute..kiddo
@Nikola Tesla and if humans are like you then I’m obviously not a “human” 🤣🤣🤣
@Nikola Tesla I’m not a human 😂 who cares ? Who gives you the qualification to say I’m human or not 🤣🤣
시발 존나 멋있어..
If you didn’t know peggy was also running to jump on the grenade but stopped when she saw steve jump on it
He’s just a kid with a lot of heart
Just a kid from Brooklyn
Damn....
this grenade is also made in China.
Doesn't explode.
soldier.. keep lying down.
I'll bring American grenades.
@Atomic wanted to end it so other people could live
A kid who wanted to end it
another meat shield who will be forgotten
I would have known it was dummie before I even decided to move or not...then I would have casually walked over and picked it up and brought it back and said..."you dropped something" and made them scratch their heads and wonder if I was super smart or super stupid...or possibly wonder if I was secretly invincible and just didn't care.
Real patron rite there value his life for others ❤
Plot twist: he knew it was a false alarm and grabbed the chance to impress the girl with his apparent selflessness 👏👏👏
Movie name Kya hai
Read my name.
That's not a plot twist that's what everyone was thinking and what we'd all do
@Karen the metal frags are the dangerous part of the granade, not the explosion. Steves flesh would probably have catched all the frags
What annoys me is grenades only make a very small explosion and he would be the only one to die and not even save anyone. My source is from a veteran on joe rogans podcast
This clip gave me chills😮
Honestly honorable my great grandpa saved his commanding officer in ww1 doing the same thing, had part of his stomach moved to replace his one hand, the second world war, he receives a medal for pulling an entire crew from a burning tank. He passed away febuary 14th 2006 I belive somewhere around there. R.I.P
Really a crazy scene if you think about it. Mans put in all this work to get into the military and when he finally does, he was willing to throw it all away to save a group of people that don’t even believe in him. Absolute fucking legend 💯
@J In real life that is
@AlanFranma there's a time to be brave and courageous. When your drill sergeant throws a live grenade at your squadron and says look alive! it's not the time to jump on a grenade like an absolute empty headed soldier
@J Bravery is stupidity because it goes against self-preservation then? that is your point? that is exactly the point of bravery though, the fact that you can *die* but you think the risk is worth it if it means it's going to do something of value, and if it means saving others, it's selflessness, a quality that if you don't have, that's ok, not everyone has it, and that's *Exactly* what the movie talks about before the very scene in question.
@AlanFranma what passes for bravery is often = to stupidity.
@J what, that's exactly the point though, there is no wrong in respecting a character like steve rogers, so what's your point?
