This reminds me of when I'm playing Yu-gi-oh, and my hand hovers over my deck; trying to force myself not to surrender when I have no cards on the field and my opponent has more than an adequate amount of attack points to deplete my life points, yet performs 2 synchro summons, tribute 1 synchro monster that has an effect that inflicts effect damage to my LP, but only enough to decrease my life points to 100 or so, and then special summon another monster; play a quote, then quietly banish me to the Shadow Realm. The realistic tone of the protagonists ferocity is a little off putting, but the headspin in which I was placed in, by listening to the question he posed to the antagonist is nice to rest in somehow, hah.
I’m a filmmaker learning about the art of plot twists and Caleb does it so much better than those I’m learning from who’ve studied it for almost all their lives.

This reminds me of how in Lost Odyssey, there's a point in the story where the protagonist, Kaim. Literally has to beat the bricks out of his 7 year old grandson, and then knock him out with a sleeping spell when he's about to die. If you bring his health gauge to zero, he dies and you get a dramatic game over. I'm not even joking.
