It's extremely important for ALL of humanity that we think hard about what the next pandemic will be and work hard to prevent it because if it happens and we're not ready, we'll be dead wrong in SERIOUS trouble. Hey Mark love this idea. We so need more solutions like this. Have you seen or heard about solar buddies.? They are helping kids in 3rd world countries study at home when they don't have power or other lighting options. They are also using then to replace kerosene lighting to help reduce the related health issues. These two solutions go hand in hand and would greatly improve the lives of many people around the world. Cheers and my kids love your channel (so do my wife and I).

Thats deep when he said the smartest person in the world is probably there just trying to survive. If we can make the world safer to live in, that person could tap into their own potential and discover the next break through technology, and not have to worry about things like clean water that most of us take for granted.

My only nickpick because i’m gonna be that guy, is that intelligence isn’t really measurable as a whole.
We need a Bill Gates in the computer/humanitarian area, a Mark Rober as an engineer/influencer, etc. Pretty much everyone is intelligent in some way, the world just needs to work together to have everyone shine their brightest.

So I had to do a science lab for class where I had to treat water using things you would find in the environment. Just used this video as a reference to a different way I have seen it done before. Thanks Mark!

I’d probably drink it if I don’t know where it came from exactly. The thought that it came from sewers is enough to discourage me. But, I guess if I get too desperate for water, maybe my mind could be persuaded.

I live in a place that boasts the -best- quality of water in the world and I love it and I always wish I could help the entire world have water this clean. To have a 32 ounce cup at my desk that's always topped off to the top with clean drinkable water that is of amazing quality feels like such a blessing.
