The interviewer was great. She did a really good job with controlling the conversations and leading the questions. That's especially hard to do with comedians. And she knew about their careers and comedy in general which is awesome. Round of applause for her.
I 2nd thought and she's very attractive as well
@RON Stacey Wilson Hunt
What is her name?
@DanHarkless ﴾Halloween, theme parks, YTPs, & more﴿ You're not wrong - she's pretty hot.
i think this woman is my favorite host for these. She doesn't interrupt the flow of conversation like that one guy.
Right off the bat she's interrupting Will Forte
Very true Ricky Gervais does it instead
She’s fine
U mean Galloway
@Nate V I’m dead!! 😂
Ricky set the template for modern TV comedy with The Office. His accomplishments can't be understated. Love him and I listen to the radio shows on repeat lmao
“a bit weird innit..”
Oh play a record!
Overstated, not understated
"Comedy lets you know that there is nothing wrong with you"
Ricky is an absolute genius!

I get the polar opposite out of the office, it's so hard for me to watch because it makes me feel ashamed about myself. The characters total lack of self awareness is something I struggle with too, and is a very base level fear of mine.
Spot on
It was really nice of all these comedians to show up for Ricky Gervais’s interview...
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🏆🥇
She's an excellent host. She should host ALL OF THESE ROUNDTABLES. The little rude weasel who cuts everyone off should be BANNED. This woman is much more cool and respectful and seems to be in the moment with these guys. Great job!
"Comedy lets you know that there is nothing wrong with you"

Ricky Gervaises thing about people mistaking subject of the joke for target is so on point. It's not that political correctness is necessarily dumb, whats really dumb is people who don't understand where the humor of a joke is, and get offended by jokes that are in reality, not offensive.
@Felipe Signé that’s actually one of the one arguments he made that I disagreed with wholeheartedly. I’m saying this in disregard to the religious context, but I always saw science as pushing the boundaries of truth; to disprove previous notions of what we believed to be right through logic and scientific method. Like, our solar systems (Pluto used to be considered a planet), the earth being the center of the universe, and more (the unknowns we seek to grasp to get a better understanding).
For the last half of your comment, I’d like to ask you to be more open to where they’re coming from. Your argument against his ‘enlightenment’ could easily be made against you. What I’m trying to say is, Ricky gervais, Jim Carrey, and other comedians are people just like us.
@JAY V 18:19 if ur still interested.
Yeah legitimately offensive jokes probably shouldn’t be said, but there are plenty of jokes about more sensitive topics that convey completely unproblematic messages that can be misinterpreted
@Bluescat LOL. Yeah...you do realize that as written in the Bible JESUS was a "liberal"?
What he doesn't get though, is that lots and lots of people watching that type of comedy don't realise the point of it, they literally just laugh at the target rather than subject
As a born Londoner I'll say that Ricky is 100% right in what he says about the UK humour. I've worked in a local office setting and government healthcare sector as a support worker and both environments he sets in his shows, the office and on Derek is 100% very relatable to me. That thing about British people supporting the underdog is real talk, then the minute they make it it's like we think....look at that bloody sell out, who does he think he is....type thing lol
@Fiona C move to the northeast if you want to avoid passive-aggressiveness. Regular aggressiveness and honesty are what I’d rather have.
it's interesting because it's the same way in Argentina, my home country. One of the reasons I left is because I hated the fact that once someone makes it, they destroy it, and all the flaws that seemed invisible to them, they're now all over the news. Whereas here in NZ, people are so loving and don't like expressing negative comments for no reason.
I always said that, although many Argentinians (not all of them, especially me) hate England because of the Malvinas-Faulklands, they're more alike than they think.
The thing he said about the difference between Americans and English people, if an English person gets a compliment their first reaction is “what do you want? Are you after something?” Is so true
Tall poppy syndrome
Im British if it means anything we truly support the dream chasers optimistic people's of our wonderful community xx much love to BRITAIN
Why can't all roundtables be conducted by Stacy Wilson?! WHY?! She's the best! It's actually a conversation and not an interview.
I think both interviewers have their purpose. It's unfortunate we don't get both sides of the table for each set of actors.
they seemed really uncomfortable at first, nd Ricky talked a lot, but there was a lot of great things to say,, glad it seemed they all warmed up overtime
Like seriously the interviewer, Stacey Wilson I think, she deserves a show.
She's really really great.
I love how Ricky Gervais intellectualises comedy. He truly is a master at what he does. And living proof that some of the funniest and most empathetic actors have been through life (worked in an office for 10 years) before they begin performing. Drama school can never replace life experience imo
@reanimated6 it doesn't matter for them
She's an excellent host. She should host ALL OF THESE ROUNDTABLES. The little rude weasel who cuts everyone off should be BANNED. This woman is much more cool and respectful and seems to be in the moment with these guys. Great job!
Just started watching these, the guy that hosts these is terrible like you say he cuts the guests off way too much he needs to learn from this host or joe rogan’s podcast on how to let conversations and discussions of the talented and intelligent guests you have invited on flow and develop. I get it there might be some time restraints with these type of things but an hour at least is enough to get some of the guests speak and get all your questions in plus these are edited too unlike joe rogans podcast
@Kyle Miller They may well be offensive. I trust people to know what offends them. The person telling the joke, the context of society etc. matters. It all matters. Jokes don't exist in a vacuum and neither do comedians. Who said political correctness was dumb? Spoilt people?
Jumping on bandwagon are you, try to be original first time in your life
she was alright. they seemed really uncomfortable at first, nd Ricky talked a lot, but there was a lot of great things to say,, glad it seemed they all warmed up overtime
Ug, I hate that little guy. He needs to stay behind a desk or whatever he supposed to be doing. This lady the blonde girl are the best.
At first I thought Jordan didn't like Ricky, he seemed to be scowling at him, but I found he's just really attentive to every thing he says.
I think by the end, the Ant Man joke started to wear on him. Amazing what a few years changed
Yeah that's just his listening/concentration face lol
Same
Obviously this is just speculation, but I believe Jordan is going through something. You can tell he's been very down lately, and rarely genuinely laughs like he used to. But again, it's just speculation...
@Anthony C. seriously lol as a white man I can feel it when there is some animosity in the air and I’ve never felt that way about him. People that take criticism of broad societal issues personally really need to look deeper at why they are offended.
Don Cheadle is the only person who's been on both comedy actors and drama actors roundtables
I love how these people know what they're doing and talk about it in a way that you know they have done the homework of studying it properly. So it shows how much they appreciate their job and spend time on quality work. I loved every moment of this interview. THANKS ❤️
i think this is probably the best comedy one of these I've ever seen. I just loved the way they'd break into scenarios and everyone is contributing *chefs kiss*
I love how Ricky Gervais intellectualises comedy. He truly is a master at what he does. And living proof that some of the funniest and most empathetic actors have been through life (worked in an office for 10 years) before they begin performing. Drama school can never replace life experience imo
@Robert nice comeback
What if you want to write a comedy about life at a Drama school?
That was hilarious! She's an incredibly talented interviewer. Very smooth, great transitions, and her completely relaxed voice and disarming smile made this a pleasure to watch.
Will Forte's bad impressions are so funny. In this interview they're all surprisingly down-to-earth and relatable, which is kind of awesome...
Ricky has comedy figured out to a detailed science. Genius
This was such a fun episode. Everyone had great chemistry.
The interactions between Ricky and Fred are everything! XD I wanna have a beer with them
This is such a great group of people. Even though Cheadle is not known to be a comic actor, he seems very fun. I love Silicon Valley, Key and Peele and The Office (UK) the most.
Cheadle's 'english' accent in the Ocean's films is hilariously terrible
Check him out in the show The Golden Palace (sequel show to The Golden Girls). He's hilarious
@T N Mouse was funny yet turned on a dime into dangerous as fck. Great character. Also the con he played in Out of Sight.
yeah, his little reaction to Americans and irony really gave me a good laugh.
He was the funniest thing in "Out of Sight", and more subtly funny in Boogie Nights".
Jordan Peele's face watching Ricky Gervais talk. Amazing.
hes gonna use the accent in his stuff hahaha
I havent laughed so hard in a long time. This was so refreshing to see. Everyone here vibed so well!
I completely agree. I laughed so hard watching this. I think I've figured out that I would rather watch a Comedy Actors Roundtable than just an Actors or Director's Roundtable.
Nobody can explain comedy and humour better and more eloquently than Ricky Gervais.
I thought I couldn't love Fred Armisen more, but then there he goes again! Being all handsome and dignified
Everyone was so lucky to have been able to talk to Ricky Gervais
Lacey and Stacey, great interviewers, so much passion, empathy and respect for their guests. Huge talent and I love their genuine laughs.
It was really nice of all these comedians to show up for Ricky Gervais’s interview...
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🏆🥇
People directed what they were saying at him & not the person interviewing them
Yeah, I've never seen a more self-effacing guy...
Like seriously the interviewer, Stacey Wilson I think, she deserves a show.
She's really really great.
one of the warmest roundtables ever
Don Cheadle and Ricky Gervais have such a strong chemistry together.
I seriously love Don Cheadle. Such a versatile actor. From Boogie Nights to Iron Man. Gervais goes without saying... a comedy genius. I'd actually like to see something with Thomas Middleditch and Ricky. I don't know why but I feel like they would come up with something really cool.
This was a really hilarious, interesting and fluid roundtable.
that's what she said
If you haven't watched Derek outtakes, you're missing out. Seriously I've never laughed so hard in my life.
The caravan outtakes always make me cry with laughter
I wasn't really a huge Ricky Gervais fan but I thoroughly enjoyed watching him in this. He is hilarious.
the amount of respect they all have for Ricky Gervais
I love how she made sure everyone gets to respond to the question. And gets back to them if they haven’t shared their story yet
I really appreciate Ricky Gervais. Always happy to see him around.
+Oscar Sanchez Everyone else here is great too. Love their chemistry.
The show Derek is criminally underrated comedy
I find it funny that Ricky has the saddest/pessimist comedy in this room (with shows like Derek and Afterlife, along with his typical stand-up shows) and yet he's the one that looks and sounds the cheeriest. Everyone else has kind of a beat down look to them despite their uplifting and enthusiastic performances!
The impressions was the best part. Watching all of them crack up was hilarious. In regards to how Jordan kept looking@ Ricky every now &again. I think, it was just Peele learning something new about Gervais that he hadn't known about him, before and not only that. I would give Ricky the same expressions too, XD if I heard something that was confusing, but made sense in the end :)
Fred's impression of Ricky had my rolling
Like seriously the interviewer, Stacey Wilson I think, she deserves a show.
She's really really great.
Nobody can explain comedy and humour better and more eloquently than Ricky Gervais.
Is it just me or she kinda looks like Robin Wright :/
one of the best roundtables ever. The host, the guys. comedy actors are always a treat
and also just hilarious.. such a good laugh i love what you do guys, i hope we'll have you for a long time thanks for all you've done !!!
I love how they try to persist with sincerity and depth and it inevitably ends in laughter
Fred always makes me laugh
This could have been 100 times longer, and I'd be okay with that.
Ricky Gervaises thing about people mistaking subject of the joke for target is so on point. It's not that political correctness is necessarily dumb, whats really dumb is people who don't understand where the humor of a joke is, and get offended by jokes that are in reality, not offensive.
Agreed!
This was the literally the best Roundtable I’ve seen, I was actually rolling with laugher out load
Funniest episode I’ve ever watched. These guys are unbelievable
I love this interviewer, she always has the proper bridge to evolve the conversation. I never felt like she killed a moment.
I always love these. The atmosphere and how the conversation flows and is allowed to go down rabbit holes makes great conversations and a look at these acting interacting. Not sure how to pput it in words but I like the feel of these roundtables. Its very interesting, funny, and entertaining
This was the best of the four actors' roundtables this year. And Stacy Wilson is THE BEST moderator. Congrats, THR!
Jordan just over there thinking about transcending the horror genre.
@-- Awwee is the racist sad and lonely on a Wednesday morning?
The only horror in Peel's movies is how horrible they are.
@Evan Walker 100% Lovecraft Country was amazing too! I want to see him write more.
@Cooper Mandle twilight zone, us
They should do this kind comedy talks more frequently
Ricky Gervais is a philosophy major turned comedian. No wonder why he can he break down comedy in the way he does and at the level he does it.
You can tell Ricky has a radio background. He really dominates the conversation, controlling the energy, counter arguments.
What an incredible discussion. And hats off to Stacey. What an interviewer! She kept the discussion flowing freely, it was organic, and she didn't interrupt or take away from the conversation at all, only added. 10/10!
I'm glad Phil Hartman was mention, what a great comedian! RIP!!!!! You'll always be missed!
This was a great interview with Ricky Gervais
I must give this eps as one of the finest roundtable ever. Good host, great guest and quality content on their talks.
Don Cheadle saying "Cuz you're the funniest!" was SO sincere!
Absolutely LOVE these roundtable chats
Thomas Middleditch is so funny. Didn't really know much about him but I like his quirky personality.
check him out on comedy bang bang the podcast! he killed it in all his appearances. super funny guy
+OptimistHunter Reel He actually mostly plays it straight in Silicon Valley, but he was insanely funny on the Pete Holmes show.
+FungusMossGnosis Silicon Valley is an awesome show. Great humour and pathos! And Thomas Middleditch is really great in it. Def. worthwhile viewing.
iamhim Isnt that something we aspire to do some time in our lives?
+OptimistHunter Reel That guy fucks!
Ricky absolutely kills it during this interview!!
Ricky is SO sharp. He almost seems like an academic.
The will Forte/Peyton skit is the greatest skit ever. The last man on earth is genius. It shouldn’t have been canceled.
Man. Jordan's face. Literally figured his life out 1-10 years since this video. Ricky got him his academy award.
I like Stacey Wilson. Please have her host more of these roundtables!
Exactly what I was thinking. Stacy seems to be enjoying herself and everything about her in this video seems to come naturally.
This was a great roundtable! I wish Will Forte had some more screen time, I'm just mesmerized by how shiny his hair is ✨ 😆
Please do more of these, this was so entertaining to watch.
They are all great and funny on their own way, but Ricky is a genius
all these dudes were so supportive of each other this was so nice
Love this Roundtable - funny, insightful and a fab group.
makes me so happy that Fred Armisen said Amy Poehler is one of his inspirations.
She's excellent
the last man on earth was a fantastic show. such a shame it didn't continue.
yeah agree. one more season to give it a proper ending would have been nice. overall i will remember the show fondly.
I enjoyed this muchly, I hope they do more. I like every single one of these guys, but I do wish Ricky would let the others talk a bit more
ricky is so intelligent i could listen to him for hours
Check out his podcasts with Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington if you haven't already.
Whenever I hear Fred Armisen start to talk I feel like a skit is about to begin but its just genuine conversation such a weird feeling xD
This is an incredible lineup
love these roundtables...keep 'em coming!!
I love this interview! Such an amazing group of comedic actors. An addition that would've made this even more perfect in my opinion would have been either Charlie Day or Rob McElhenney from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
Phil Hartman deserves all the love! He was truly amazing
A Prince Portlandia appearance/comedic collaboration would have been amazing!
And Fred doing the quick Ricky impression is incredible.
I watch this every time I feel depressed and it cheers me up a little.
i've never seen last man on earth...but that bar scene singlehandedly sold me on giving it a try. lol
@Douglas Milton I googled it lol
Ricky Gervaises thing about people mistaking subject of the joke for target is so on point. It's not that political correctness is necessarily dumb, whats really dumb is people who don't understand where the humor of a joke is, and get offended by jokes that are in reality, not offensive.
"Comedy lets you know that there is nothing wrong with you"
Ricky is an absolute genius!
17:33
When Ricky talked about regular people not being well equipped to do things, I immediately thought of An Idiot Abroad with Karl Pilkington
rahul it ends on a cliffhanger obviously because they didnt give the show to end it properly. So like most endings to a season, they end it giving the hint to how the next season will start. The show overall is great and one of my favorite shows on hulu
I look forward to these so much every year. Please never stop doing Comedy Roundtables! In fact, more frequent roundtables would be greatly appreciated. I love to watch people I admire interact, and share their inspirations and methods.
Also Stacey Wilson is a wonderful moderator. She keeps the flow going, always yields to the guests when they have something to say, and always brings wonderful questions to the table (although that may or may not be her doing).
such a great format! its providing us with so much knowledge and insights of comedy i guess every "comedian" or wannabe future ones should at least listen to what these guys have to say.. i think even comedy has potential to grow, although its awesome timelessness
I caught up with the show "Lee and Dean" recently, and it really resonates with a lot of what Ricky is saying. I think the show needs way more recognition than it gets.
aalever I adore lee and dean
How those guys all play off each other is a treat!
This is such a great round table 🙌🏼
I have watched this 9 times already. Such a great table
I'm currently shooting a student film for a project and the boom mic joke Ricky made freaking KILLED ME. So true!!
I love Peele so much. I love him, I love him, I love him.
I said it before, but this is easily the best one. This host is great also, she makes this work.
I want Thomas Middleditch to act in a Ricky Gervais show.
I need more Fred Armisen and Ricky Gervais.
Best interview yet. I love the EQ (Emotional intelligence) maturity level they had.
Fire the other guy and give Stacey a god damn promotion.
to be fair, this round table was on auto pilot with extrovert comedians in it (especially with the likes of rick, don, Peele and co.). directors and actors tend to be a lot more subdued or ramble into incoherence self promoting or or pretend loathing. being a stand up will humble you quick and teach you to get to your point succinctly.
Why so many virtue signalers ?
@sonnet2ix a
Galloway
Especially as it is 2015 in the video and there are still no other women at that table.
The rise of Ricky Gervais is incredibly really.
Less than 20 years ago he was still doing xfm radio at the age of 42
10 mins in and I can't wait to pick the rest up later. Great discussion so far. Great host too!
The chemistry on this set is astronomical
Stacey Wilson is the best interviewer. Wish she did way more of these!
I admire all of them, I am grateful for all those shows.
