As much as Phil overreacts, he’s right here. That’s unacceptable. The tournament directors ought to have enough respect for the players who ponied up the cash to enter this tourney to give them a reasonable environment to play out the final table.

I dont understand all the bullshit thats talked bout Phil Helmuth. He's number.1 WSOP bracelet holder? Even when he loses it he's talking about the pot/game not berating players, that's fine. He should be respected no matter what you think of him anyway he's earned it.

    • Tuvok Shakur
      Tuvok Shakur 2 months ago

@Eggo and that has nothing to do with the situation in the video. The people shouting at him are apparently there to cheer for Jackson too so you can't say that he brought that on himself.

    • Chris Harris

@Eggo That and he gets off on the drama. You can almost see him stroking it under the table.

    • Eggo
      Eggo 2 months ago +1

@Chris Harris he gets targeted because he is a punk who talks a lot but the minute someone says anything of the same vibe he puts off he calls the floor on them. He is a hypocrite. Fans should keep their mouth shut but Phil honestly makes himself a target because he is so off the rails and not a level headed dude. He is very emotional and will dish alot of things out that he can’t take if someone does it back. He is a big….baby

    • LEFTaTIP
      LEFTaTIP 3 months ago +1

@Chris Harris, Hellmuth has brought this problem all to himself. There is not a tournament, a cash game even a low stakes poker game, in his 35 yr career where he goes off on a player, a dealer even a floorman to let his frustration on. The guy is a great tournament player but he is Enlightened to the core and thinks everything revolves around him.

@David S and he's sponsored and we ain't,people like seeing him get all pumped up tell me otherwise buddy,, first of all you only go down to his level if you act the WAY he does with everyone else. Be the leader not the follower.

Oh my, the commentary on the phill hellmuth roast beef bite was incredible. "He pulls the buns apart and just gets in there!"

Totally agree with Phil….it’s sad that sports events (eg Wimbledon) are being spoiled by audience members that now feel entitled to abuse players…..they should be removed instantly

Even if someone thinks Phil doesn't deserve respect, there's other players that do.

Hellmuth well named and very entertaining, especially when he is being crushed.

With all the crazies running around today there is absolutely no excuse to allow these people to go in there and create a situation. Where the fk is security?!?

Did you forget summer 2020? The North American slave trade means certain people don’t have to follow rules.

      What security?

  • BanderSnatch Bigfoot EXPLORER

It makes you wonder what is going on in these guys life that makes them comfortable with heckling someone. It’s easier to punch down when your hiding in the audience than it is when you on stage.

Phil is totally right and I never thought I'd say that..lol this situation is like the movie happy Gilmore there just trying to throw him off his game but unfortunately this is real life these guys needed to go!!!

Sometimes I seriously don't get why so many hate Hellmuth. He's gold and hilarious! And in this case, way in the right. I would never want to play at that place if security won't do anything about hecklers.

The way Phil ate that sandwich confirmed to me that the guy is 110% a psycho.

There’s a big difference between players heckling each other to try to get them on tilt and an external person doing it.

  • David Hill

While there is a level where Phil brought this on himself, we can't have hecklers watching the final table. The floor shouldn't even wait for Phil to tell those guys to knock it off or leave.

I was on the rail when this happened. It was way, way, way over the top - and a disgrace that the floor allowed it to go on for as long as it did.

@Lasha Xoperia Whenever he goes all in with the worse hand, the other guy is an idiot for outplaying him 🤣. But despite the backlash he gets for playing a conservative game, the dude has enjoyed an unparalleled longevity.

The more Phil reacts to these hecklers and even players, the tougher it'll get for him in the future tables. if he smiles every time they heckle him, watch it go away .
