@Videot ? When did I ever imply or directly say that ? Boys who cry aren’t weak , crying is an emotion everybody has inside of them , I merely said brave is probably not the best word to describe this vid , why are some of you like this ? Just trying to prove a point by putting words in other peoples mouth and acting all morally superior

    • ZorlockTS
      ZorlockTS 3 months ago

@Videot no I don’t think it’s brave per say … commendable would be the better word , brave is something used to describe an act of courage which I don’t think fits this video in it’s entirety , sry if I made you mad or some shit didn’t want it to come of like that .

    • That Boi
That Boi 3 months ago +1

@Videot Being weak or vulnerable is not brave, it's the easiest option.

I've only ever seen my dad cry twice, at his dad's funeral and when our dog just passed. Breaks me every time

    • idk
      idk Month ago

exactly the same with me, he sobbed with both of his dogs and i made a pet wall of a frame fot every pet we've ever had and he cried a bit when he got to the ones of those who have passed, other than that was at his dads funeral, he held it together the whole time but for some reason one of his aunts came over and he lost it.

    • Tanya Neely
Tanya Neely 2 months ago +2

I was the same- I’d only seen my dad cry at the passing of both of our dogs.
It was recently his 50th birthday and my mom wrote him an AMAZING letter. He read it during a fancy dinner, said “Aw, man” and just started crying his eyes out. I was a bawling mess shortly after.

@Visnau I threw up from the pain of my first kidney stone. My whole family gets them pretty often so we've become champs and dealing with it. My brother grew a 10mm stone in a month.

    • Visnau
      Visnau 3 months ago +10

The only time I saw my dad cry was when he had a kidney stone, now I drink water like crazy because I am deathly afraid of getting a kidney stone. He has broken bones, gone through surgeries, been in a lot of pain in the past but nothing made him cry but that kidney stone. I remember walking in on him while I was like 13 and he was just on the floor in the fetal position crying and gripping his stomach, quite scary to see your dad doing that as a 13 year old.

Cody crying watching dads cry is the most wholesome thing I've ever watched! Not to mention... we STAN a man who can confidently cry on the internet!! It's SO important to show other men that you can be both the funny guy, and still openly experience a full range of emotions!!

@sharksandsheep well this is apart of a bigger picture that is toxic masculinity and how it causes young men to not be able to express emotions and bottle it up. It isnt healthy whatsoever and having a big creator that some people look up to doing it so openly is a big step for a lot of men who feel they cant do it

This whole video hit me hard too dude. I needed some happy tears though, I've only really been having bad tears lately so this was a nice switch up from the usual. I cried at every single one of these lol thank you for being so open with your emotions, it's refreshing to see anyone open up these days. Everyone is usually trying to save face and mask up how they feel. We should all allow ourselves to feel our feelings, and we shouldn't be ashamed of it. This video was so nice to watch, and I appreciate you taking the time to make it.

@Whitney Dahlin it affects me more as well, but not necessarily for the same reason. it hits me so much harder because i'd seen only one man cry my entire life, until more recently with my bf. so, i know that, while there are times a man might cry, it's incredibly rare for them to do it around any company. it shows the amount of trust they have for you, allowing themselves to get vulnerable like that.

    • Whitney Dahlin
Whitney Dahlin 3 months ago +38

Yeah I told my husband the same thing Cody said in the beginning of the video recently. That when I see men cry I automatically start crying because I know that men don't cry without a real reason too. And even then sometimes they don't cry. But I cry over Clip-Share videos and commercials sometimes. Or sometimes a song. So I know if my husband is crying something is seriously wrong and it scares me

This really was like a therapy session. If you feel like doing more of these you totally should. The societal engrained stoicism in males is hard to break out of. I cried more watching this than I have in years. Great video

The way I'm crying but then dying laughing at Cody's commentary is absolutely the best. We need more of these videos!

@Alana Jones I mean I’ve been big fans of both of them for a long time now. Cody since Vine and Noel for idk at least 5 or 6 years now. I watch them both. I can also be critical of their actions/content. I was making a guess as to why Cody was laughing about it and was pretty clear that obviously I haven’t seen the instance in question. I don’t know Noel’s true motives when it comes to those types of things, I don’t think he’s being intentionally malicious, and those videos are few and far between. But personally it just makes me really uncomfortable and I choose not to watch those videos. But no hate to either one of them, just my personal opinion on the difference between their content and humor.

@Camri Taylor You can watch or not watch whoever you want btw! I'm not trying to come for you or sway your opinion at all! Just wanted to let you know cause I know it's hard to tell someone's tone through words on a screen.

@Camri Taylor It wasn't all nervous laughter at all. Trust me when I say I can distinguish between nervous laughter and just laughter. He wasn't being intentionally malicious, and noel never is either (at least not seriously), but he clearly didn't value the lives of those living lobsters at all and I'm sure you'd notice it too if you ever get around to watching the episode. I understand that not everyone can stomach Noel's videos or his humor tho.

@Alana Jones I haven’t seen the episode or at least heard this story, I feel like maybe the laughter might have been like awkward laughter? Idk. Totally fair point but he also doesn’t make videos laughing about that kinda stuff like Noel does. I like them both too but I can’t watch Noel’s videos like that. It makes me very uncomfortable
