Night at the musuem will always be one of my favorite movies. It's a children's movie that adults can watch and genuinely laugh and it has such heartfelt moments. I'm not mad at this at all.
I can’t believe night at the museum is back in an old new animated special! This reminds me of Kangaroo Jack, which is a film that I’ve been looking at throughout most of this year first, there was a live action film, and then one year later there’s an animated film, a 2-D, animated film, and now Nathan museum has gone from live action to to Diana made it just like Kangaroo Jack!
@Lamb Sauce she died by the hands of our own because of pride. She is now a great Saint, when she died she asked for a cross with Jesus on it to be in front of her; while she burns and one of the priest that new she was innocent, ran to the church to grap a cross on a long stick.
Do you know the live action films? The people who made those films they didn’t want the good Egyptian person to see his evil brother and I didn’t want the good Egyptian person’s parents to see their evil son either. Oh, and tell me the truth it’s still is probably like that in this new animated film. Though we haven’t seen the good Egyptian person in this new film yet. Oh, and the reason why I don’t have his name down is because I am writing this comment with Siri by saying the words, and Siri doesn’t understand the names of the Egyptian people’s names with one who is good and one who is evil. Speaking of which I saw some buddy did a comment and the person who did that comment said that he never expected the evil Egyptian person to come back and was wondering how he escaped from the underworld and I’m saying something like that to what I’m saying how could that guy be back? Larry got rid of him in the 2009 live action!
This isn’t really the story continuing more like a seperate timeline because if it was continuing the story from the live action movies it would be set in a London museum and Larry daily wouldn’t be present
This is a nice take of continuation to Night at the Museum instead of making it live action. I love the animation. How i wish Robin Williams is still alive 🥺
When I watched this trailer, it’s actually pretty descent. It had returning characters from the night at the museum trilogy and it introduces an unknown story.
They should make prequel showing young Reginald, Gus, and Cecil’s first night as guards, which should also be the first time the tablet brought everything to life in 1952. It would have to be done in either of these two ways. One, Theodore Roosevelt hadn’t been brought to the museum yet that way we don’t have someone replace Robin Williams’ performance. But since he knows about everything coming to life in 1952, he probably was there or the guards just told him about it. But if he does need to be there then that leads to options number two. The film will have to be animated just like this one.
@Crazy Fire I meant a live action film instead of animated like this one. If it were live action, they would have to explain why Roosevelt isn't there. If it were animated, it would be fine since he would be voiced be a different actor.
I never in my life would have thought that this would get a series. I love Night of the Museum I have seen all three movies and they make up a nice bit of my childhood so I'll give this a shot.
I like animation most of the time but I feel like Night at the museum is a franchise best in live action, a more realistic world makes the exhibits coming to life more special and you could tell between the wax models and real actors
I remember really enjoying the first movie and that I watched the third specifically because of Robin William's passing. Interesting to see this series come back after all this time.
I honestly like the humor in this! Sure it doesn't have the same charm as the live-action trilogy, but it still has the memorable characters that we love (Sacagawea, Jed, Octavius, Teddy Roosevelt, Easter Island Head, Rexy, and even Laa from the third film). I'm willing to give this a watch. Is it gonna be different without the original cast from the films? Yes, but then again, the Hotel Transylvania TV series didn't have the original actors from the films, either, so...
I love the movies so much x They were such a huge part of my childhood and at 23, I still watch and love them and I'm so happy we are getting a continuation x Its going to be great!!
Watched it and have to say, definitely a goooood movie. It made me chuckle, and almost cry. And it’s pretty self aware, which is interesting to see in a childrens movie but I loveeee it! ❤😂
@Blueeyed Drago That's what the english tried to charge her at first but since Jeanne d'Arc was a virgin and so "pure", then this argument couldn't stand. But she was wearing men pants (which is logic since it's more practical for a military campaign) and since the church forbids women to wear men clothes, she was instead charge for heresy. Which leaded to the same result. They tried to make her confess not being a saint or sent by god to cast Charles VII (the french king and a assh*ole) under a bad light. And they succeeded to a extent, she was only eighteen, harrassed for days and pressed hard so she cracked and sign a agreement where she confessed not being sent by god and accepting to never wear men clothes again. In exchange, she could kept her life. But she changed her mind, denied the agreement and put back the men clothes. And so she was burned.
Super happy to see everyone's responses! We all worked so hard on this film, all along laughing and having fun with it! I can't wait for it launch! ❤️🔥 Cheers!!!!
Seconding the multitudes of people who are happy to see some 2D animation making a comeback. I’ve missed classic hand-drawn Disney films so much. Well done on your hard work and huge thanks to everyone who worked on and pushed for this art style. Here’s to more in the future! 🎨
Man, I was so excited when I heard there would be an animated Nighg at the Museum movie! The live-action trilogy does NOT get nearly as much attention as it deserves!
This is a great Night at the Museum reboot. If only Ben Stiller and Hank Azaria can reprise their roles as Larry Daley and Kahmunrah. But you know what? This is going to be a great animated motion picture.
Who said it was a reboot? If anything it’s most likely a Miquel but set in an alternate timeline where Larry didn’t retire and the tablet never stayed at the British Museum
Meanwhile, the Disney people should fixed the Blue Fairy design and the Pleasure Island scene in their Pinocchio remake while they ever have the chance. That’s how Sonic got his movie design remade.
Dan Castellaneta (Homer Simpson) could have been hired to play Theodore Roosevelt since he replaced Robin Williams as the Genie in Aladdin The Animated Series. Hank Azaria and Dan could have both been easily hired since they are under contract by Disney/20st Century Fox.
Though I'm feeling a bit skeptical for many reason, I will try to keep an open mind since A) I like it when Disney does 2D animation and B) I will admit some of the jokes in the trailer tickled my funny bone.
@Ian Visser But remember that he had Lewy body dementia. And sadly this was the cause of his decision, living with this disease it could have been even worse. :(
Sigh, you had to bring him up ;.( I know the feels though... Shows you though, mental health is no joke, if someone like Robin could commit suicide, I'm sure we all know people who are way less happy in our lives, who are at risk too.
Typing as i watch. At first, I was shocked that this was animated. Then, 8 seconds in, and I love this. I would love if this was a series, or is it an animated movie? Will find out.
I'm so happily surprised to see that this project is actually real and not some made up rumor! There was barely any info about it so I thought it was just an empty promise and would never come to life. I'm so excited!!
The thumbnail made me think we’re getting younger versions of Bruno, Peppa and Julienne from Encanto about their youth days and how they learned to tame their powers especially Bruno making prophecies but it backfiring on him cause his prophecy killed someone’s fish😂 but I’m more than happy that it’s Night at the Museum’s show. I liked the movies and while it doesn’t look anything like the movies but from the trailers I like the humour and how sassy Kahmunrah is and glad to see Teddy back. I think I’ll like this show which I usually doesn’t for others.
The implication that Joan of Arc and in fact all the exhibits can not only remember how their real world counterpart died but also recall the feelings and thoughts that went through their mind at the time is.....something
They haven’t been completely consistent about that though. I remember in the first movie there’s a scene where Teddy is lamenting about how he isn’t the real Theodore Roosevelt and couldn’t do all the things he did.
They should! Like while i was checking disney's old live action movies, there's one called The Cat From Outer Space, and honestly it feels like a movie that disney can remake but in animation form! They really should do that with their old live action movies 😊
Always great to see new new exhibits coming to life in night at the museum movies whether real life or animated I don't care we still see faces anyway. I love it.
Wow! I wasn't expecting it to be animated, that's very interesting since the films are live-action. I love the films! I grew up on them. The humor and the show look like a lot of fun! I will have to check it out!
After Robin William's death, this franchise is at a weird place. But now, this seems like a fresh new take. I'm feeling some old school vibes from this. Back to the Future, Ace Ventura, The Mask, Stuart Little - they had animated sequels. This series looks like it has heart. That in your face reveal of Teddy was the creators being confident in showing that this character, and series, is coming back. It may not be Robin Williams, but I'm liking this new portrayal.
@Angy Virtu That's true. However, usually movie studios sometimes remake the original franchase, trying to capture the charm from the original movie/show and it ends up not being good *Sometimes* Just saying that I'm glad Disney is respecting the Night at the Museum franchise and not trying to recast or reboot the movie, and doing something original which is this.
I'm so happy they're doing all this, NATM was one of my favourite film franchises as a kid and this coming back is an amazing nostalgia throwback to the times I saw it fresh on the big screen.
I love the new art style animation. It makes me feel like I'm watching a show from Disney XD. I'll definitely be looking forward to watching this. This should be fun to watch. 😀👏🏾👍🏾🙏🏾💙
Oh, I get it. This is a movie to introduce a series… yet again Well, play Disney well played😎 I agree that Seth works, but… You know I'm gonna stop because we all know that his real name is Set but Seth is cooler and I am totally on board with that.
I see that the animators really tried but the insistance to rely on 3D models and puppetry and AI by the industry ruins so much of the magic. I'd rather the animation be limited than have this uncanny look
Anyone else notice Thomas Lennon voicing Teddy Roosevelt? He wrote the screenplay for the original movie, you know. So, I'm glad that they casted SOMEONE who was involved with the original movies.
I can’t believe it’s been such a long time since night at the museum. I’m ready to see the old characters again and new characters. Let’s get this party started
@Katie Logue That’s exactly how misused Toon Boom is. Toon Boom was used by Disney for coloring work on PATF. Most people just use it to cut as many corners as possible.
@Austin Reed Princess and the Frog was done in Toon Boom?! I never would’ve known, it looks as fluid as earlier digital movies like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin
I am excited that we will get to see more of the 2D animation side of Disney like the Tangled series and I love Night At The Museum but I really wish the old cast reacted to this as well as came back given that the cast is a treasure and its what made me love them especially Jed, Octavius and Ahkmen
I’m concerned that this won’t do so well because of Robin Williams’ passing, but the trailer seems to build a pretty good impression. That fire joke at the end gave me a good chuckle.
It won’t unless Disney/20st Century Fox can hire Dan Castellaneta (Homer Simpson) to play Theodore Roosevelt since Dan replaced Robin Williams as Genie in Aladdin The Animated Series. If he can mimic Robins voice as Genie for an animated series why can’t he do the same thing with this movie/series.
Night at the musuem will always be one of my favorite movies. It's a children's movie that adults can watch and genuinely laugh and it has such heartfelt moments. I'm not mad at this at all.
I can’t believe night at the museum is back in an old new animated special! Personally in my opinion to see the night of the museum come back would be good but like this it just doesn’t feel right
Same I think I would be a little upset if it wasn't a cartoon but this just looks pretty good actually
Well I AM this does not look good but this is just my thoughts
@B just a shame Ben didn't return to pay the dad
Nice to see Disney releasing more 2D animation
@RedRacc no, Klaus is 2D animated that looks 3D, it just used 3D as references
Very good
Nice 👍👍👍
nice
I am working at sait
"Fire burn."
"I know the feeling."
Wow... just wow. They really went there. Dark. Love it.
There's a history lesson behind that line kids.
Dang that joke got darker then her charred skeleton.
@Lamb Sauce she died by the hands of our own because of pride. She is now a great Saint, when she died she asked for a cross with Jesus on it to be in front of her; while she burns and one of the priest that new she was innocent, ran to the church to grap a cross on a long stick.
Spear: “grunts” having ptsd flash backs from fire chieftain translates to *”Same Here you 2”* from Genndy Tartakovsky’s PRIMAL!
@Rusty Russell Still was Wrong and FUCKED UP.
I never realized how attached the roles are to their actors until I heard the voices in this trailer.
Same it looks good but the voices are iconic
I haven't seen the Night at the Museum trilogy in years I'm glad that the story still continues. Thanks for the memories that you bring me back.
@Trevor Sheehan this is a spin off because the final NATM movie had the tablet end up staying in a London museum
Oops, sorry forgot to put the word film next to the a word.
Do you know the live action films? The people who made those films they didn’t want the good Egyptian person to see his evil brother and I didn’t want the good Egyptian person’s parents to see their evil son either. @Digi Shade so like a midquel?
This isn’t really the story continuing more like a seperate timeline because if it was continuing the story from the live action movies it would be set in a London museum and Larry daily wouldn’t be present
This is a nice take of continuation to Night at the Museum instead of making it live action. I love the animation. How i wish Robin Williams is still alive 🥺
@Livingston Seagull makes me wonder if we would've made a cameo in the live action Aladdin
When I watched this trailer, it’s actually pretty descent. It had returning characters from the night at the museum trilogy and it introduces an unknown story.
It's been years and I'm still getting misty when I'm reminded.
At least it is a family friendly film like the rest were. No woke stuff thank goodness.
ok
I have to admit joan's "I know the feeling" got a chuckle
ok
ok
M😮😮
ok
@Ghost of WolfMoonMani Poor Joan of Arc.
"Fire Bad"
"I know the feeling"
Okay, that legitimately got a laugh out of me.
@Constantine the Great ashes are carbon
@akhmad alfan No it became ashes
Fire burn
@Derrick Haggard And it drove Gilles de Rilles aka Bluebeard mad after Joan of Arc was burned
AYO ITS DARK 😂
They should make prequel showing young Reginald, Gus, and Cecil’s first night as guards, which should also be the first time the tablet brought everything to life in 1952. Robin Williams had already been replaced here so…
The animation looks classic and amazing. I so hope they do more like this.
I never in my life would have thought that this would get a series. I love Night of the Museum I have seen all three movies and they make up a nice bit of my childhood so I'll give this a shot.
@Alex Minier I stand corrected
Is not a series is an animated film
I like animation most of the time but I feel like Night at the museum is a franchise best in live action, a more realistic world makes the exhibits coming to life more special and you could tell between the wax models and real actors
@Sabaka Mahusky ikr
It isn't the same without Robin Williams
I agree i loved how they did live action for this series it fits more
@mango mason I feel ya I felt mixed about this and it didn’t feel like the same
Fr
I remember really enjoying the first movie and that I watched the third specifically because of Robin William's passing. Interesting to see this series come back after all this time.

Where’s Attila though?
@Juan R Guijarrocringe comment.
keep telling yourself that, darling
I don't really see how an animated movie based on live action without original actors to voice the animated characters would upset anybody ok.
Only time would tell to see if it's higher or lower our expectations, so all we can do is wait and see
Out-of-place music in an animated trailer. What an iconic duo.
works every time
I love the movies so much x They were such a huge part of my childhood and at 23, I still watch and love them and I'm so happy we are getting a continuation x Its going to be great!!
Watched it and have to say, definitely a goooood movie. It made me chuckle, and almost cry. And it’s pretty self aware, which is interesting to see in a childrens movie but I loveeee it! ❤😂
This actually looks like the most interesting thing Disney has released in a while.
I didn’t think I would like this because it’s so different from the live action trilogy but I love it so much
@Cody Animation but I want it to be live action if they brought back the old actor for Larry daily and made it live action it would be 10x better
@mango mason It's a children's movie that adults can watch and genuinely laugh and it has such heartfelt moments. I'm not mad at this at all.
@Cody Animation did I ask? I saw your comment
@mango mason I never realized how attached the roles are to their actors until I heard the voices in this trailer.
I hate it
Okay, I'm not the only one who laughed at when Joan said she sympathized with Laa on fire burning, right?
Literally the only part that made me chuckle
@Éfar Isti Lol
@Blueeyed Drago I can't even refute that XD
@Éfar Isti I had no idea about this. The old times are screwed up on all levels.
That Joan of Arc joke was fire
Fire bad! Hashtag hotel transylvania reference!
@Don'tBeWoke. Pun 100% intended
No pun intended??
Super happy to see everyone's responses! We all worked so hard on this film, all along laughing and having fun with it! I can't wait for it launch! ❤️🔥 Cheers!!!!
☠️
So far Disney hasn't failed at failing, what a track record keep up the stunning work, think it's time I cancel my subscription.
Seconding the multitudes of people who are happy to see some 2D animation making a comeback. I’ve missed classic hand-drawn Disney films so much. Well done on your hard work and huge thanks to everyone who worked on and pushed for this art style.
Here’s to more in the future! 🎨
Thanks for helping to continue one of my favorite trilogies! Loving the animation style! ❤
@Ethan H. Lol joking obviously!
I really love this trilogy
Man, I was so excited when I heard there would be an animated Nighg at the Museum movie! The live-action trilogy does NOT get nearly as much attention as it deserves!
This is way better then the live action version like it’s so cool that I can’t stop watching it
I actually excited for this???? Can't wait for this! This is going to be a nostalgia ride experience for me! 🤧✨💜💛✨
Wow, finally quality 2-D animation! I’m proud of you Disney!
Look closer.
Back to THIS trailer, though.
I now get that Hank Azaria sounded better as Gargamel.
Night at the museum is my favourite movie since childhood!
I hope this show would be entertaining!
So cool!I love Night at the museum I can’t wait to watch this, this looks amazing 🤩 I’m hoping to see my beloved pharaoh Ahkmenrah
@Zuko Halliwell but they don’t need Rami as the voice, right…? Everyone else is voiced by a different actor…
Unfortunately, I heard that Ahkmenrah won't be appearing in the movie. Something about legal issues with Rami Malek's estate.
the villain is his evil step brother or something. I think Ahkmenrah *will* appear
Had some doubts about it at first but actually looks amazing.
Though I'm feeling a bit skeptical for many reason, I will try to keep an open mind since A) I like it when Disney does 2D animation and B) I will admit some of the jokes in the trailer tickled my funny bone.
😅😅😅😅😅😊
This is so cute, definitely gonna check it out ☺️💜
I still miss Robin WIlliams, but I hope this movie goes well and keeps his memory alive.
@Ian Visser But remember that he had Lewy body dementia. And sadly this was the cause of his decision,
living with this disease it could have been even worse. :(
He was amazing as Teddy Rosevelt. He put so much emotion into the role.
It's a movie.
It’s a movie, not a series.
just gonna say, they should have made this the live action like the others. and i like animation.
I came for more Jed and Octavius if I don’t see at least more than 8 scenes with them, i will sue
I got to see this one. It has to be as good as the live action film.
I love this idea its just not gonna be the same without Robin Williams
I love that most of this trailer is Kahmunrah being hilarious and sassy. Oh, and Teddy's back!
I'm so happily surprised to see that this project is actually real and not some made up rumor! There was barely any info about it so I thought it was just an empty promise and would never come to life. I'm so excited!!
I really appreciate your valuable time, you're among my shortlisted winners🎁 Contact above👆
My childhood return in the animation form. I think this must be a good family adventure movie
@Sir Boomsalot he knows everything teddy knows, but he isn’t teddy Roosevelt
Real!
Ooooooookk.
Ooooh ok?
They haven’t been completely consistent about that though. I remember in the first movie there’s a scene where Teddy is lamenting about how he isn’t the real Theodore Roosevelt and couldn’t do all the things he did.
Really hope this is a series
This looks like it has potential, but it also looks like it could go about as well as the fire at the end went.
Just do a live action Night at the Museum/National Treasure crossover
I'd love to see Disney make not only more animated sequels to live action films, but also animated remakes of live action films.
Now that would be cool
They should! Like while i was checking disney's old live action movies, there's one called The Cat From Outer Space, and honestly it feels like a movie that disney can remake but in animation form! They really should do that with their old live action movies 😊
^^ THIS
Honestly surprised at how good this looks.
I hope it turns out well, but Roosevelt with no Robin Williams is a tough sell when he did it so flawlessly in the movies
I love the Night At The Museum franchise and I’m a big history buff so I have high hopes for this! So excited!!!
Man I like how great the animation is.
Really am bummed this wasn’t a real life movie like the others 😢
"I know the feeling".
Oh Gawd, that had me rolling. 😂
Hold on! This is Joshua's first time voicing an animated character! What's cooler is he's the MAIN character! PROUD OF HIM! 😘👏🎊
I'd love to see this animation style being used more often again.
Straight one of my favorite artists out rn RS
MY CHILDHOOD RISES AGAIN
I'm really going to miss Robin Williams playing Teddy Roosevelt.

I can’t wait to watch this.
I didn’t think I would like this because it’s so different from the live action trilogy but I love it so much
It was so hard to notice this was 3d without zooming in a max resolution.
More Video Games should use a style like this
Ooooook.
"Fire burn"
"I know the feeling"
WAIT HOLD ON!!
Hey, the animation looks pretty nice!!
Looks like my Favorite, underrated, Childhood Trilogy of Movies is making a comeback.
Welp, guess they’re Back.
Back again.
I feel like this is going to be an animated series after this movie.
This looks pretty good. Glad they decided to make it animated, instead of forcing a live action one! 🙏🏽
Oooooooook he he sees me.
@Angy Virtu That's true. However, usually movie studios sometimes remake the original franchase, trying to capture the charm from the original movie/show and it ends up not being good *Sometimes*
Just saying that I'm glad Disney is respecting the Night at the Museum franchise and not trying to recast or reboot the movie, and doing something original which is this.
@ThePlotaGuy7 Same
Or a cheap 3D remake, for that matter.
The original movies were live-action, though.
I'm so happy they're doing all this, NATM was one of my favourite film franchises as a kid and this coming back is an amazing nostalgia throwback to the times I saw it fresh on the big screen.
This is greatness.
Man this doesn't feel like Night At The Museum without Ben Stiller.
This don’t feel like it in general no familiarity
I might give this a watch looks good, Miss Robin Williams he was a great guy.
I love the new art style animation. It makes me feel like I'm watching a show from Disney XD. I'll definitely be looking forward to watching this. This should be fun to watch. 😀👏🏾👍🏾🙏🏾💙
The way I screamed when Octavius and Jed appeared
No joke. Halfway into this trailer, I thought it was a promo for a new TV series based on the films.
...which we would certainly watch, too.
That Joan of Arc fire joke at the end got me.
Top mix keep up the good work! I like your work and music and everything else! love your company!.
LOVE IT! I think it’s also a funny way to draw children into history
This is too beautiful to be true.
Never thought my favorite movie turned into a cartoon series 😍💕
Joan of Arc: I know the feeling 🔥🔥🔥
Oh, I get it. This is a movie to introduce a series… yet again Well, play Disney well played😎
I agree that Seth works, but… You know I'm gonna stop because we all know that his real name is Set but Seth is cooler and I am totally on board with that.
The animation is great but the show just looks fine
I see that the animators really tried but the insistance to rely on 3D models and puppetry and AI by the industry ruins so much of the magic. I'd rather the animation be limited than have this uncanny look
It doesn't seem so bad, even if it inspires me less than the previous ones.
Joan of Arc is amazing.
Fate Series’ Jeanne and Jalter should like this.
@Blahboozle why Disney betrayed the cable companies and the movie theaters companies why ?
That fire joke was dark lol...I may watch this
The live action movie feel like more animated characters than the animated TV show
It's Back!!!!😍😍
I just hope there will finally be Ahkmenrah and Kahmunrah interactions
I searched the Internet and Ahkmenrah isn't on the Cast list.
I hope so too! They were meant to interact in the second movie and we found out how Ahkmenrah died but they cut it x
Anyone else notice Thomas Lennon voicing Teddy Roosevelt? He wrote the screenplay for the original movie, you know. So, I'm glad that they casted SOMEONE who was involved with the original movies.
I may visit that museum sometime and picture the exhibits becoming real since I love history.
I went there in 2019, really really fun time despite the fact that the big entrance area had like 400 people all trying to walk in
Did not expect this but but I love it
I can’t believe it’s been such a long time since night at the museum. I’m ready to see the old characters again and new characters.
Let’s get this party started
It's nice to see Disney releasing more 2D animation
@Katie Logue
That’s exactly how misused Toon Boom is.
@McTheVHSOpeningLoverReturns! Lol no flash is dead, no self respecting animation company uses flash nowadays. - A former Disney animator
@Moss
Flash has a better ring to it.
It’s made in flash.
Robin Williams would have been proud to see this
Must’ve been hard trying to find a VA that can do a decent enough robin williams impression
Oh! Adding Joan of Arc to the mix, eh?? EXCELLENT choice!
@Sims Gamer I don't know if he's still voicing Genie, but the third guy they got to voice Genie sounded more like Robin Williams than Dan ever did.
