If your eyelids can protect you from the sun, and an eclipse... Well then they work for welds. Pity you can't see through them at all though, at least with auto dark visors you can very very vaguely make out the weld as a blurry bright spot in darkness. :)

If I recall I used the same design for a hydraulic press as yours when I built mine. It was the first machine/tool I ever built from scratch. It didn’t need to be insanely strong so I built it out of oak and steel. It’s still holding up strong. It’s crazy how oak can take so much force.

I find the logistics of keeping your tools underground questionable, as the transit of materials from surface to tunnel and vice versa will not only be a ballache over time, but also will limit your projects to what you can actually raise and lower through the rather narrow entrances.

As a Geomechanical engineer, the tunnel is awesome but risky. The support for the tunnel is adequate but the panels on sides and top will be the ultimate failure. Your biggest accident was blocking your visual ability to inspect. If that roof fails, some raveling will help you see and give you time to escape. Unlikely will fail immediately. But now you have removed that, and when it fails it will surprise you. Cool tunnel nevertheless.

That looks great for pressing small things but what if you need to use it to bend something that's like 2 ft long and it needs to be bent in the middle like a piece of really thick flat bar? It's a very shallow compartment with no room on the back side of the press? You must have another press or tool that you use to bend things I'm guessing?

I think it's a roll of shop paper towels for mopping up the inevitable oil that leaks from hydraulics.

Very limited on what you can press in that location. Cool mount and integrated hydraulics.

Maybe you can install some sort of overhead crane rail just to move heavy things through the tunnel, and occasionally zip line back and forth for fun.

How would you ever fit anything in there other than a bearing housing? Seems I always need a press for something big and awkward.

So all the equipment you are putting in the tunnel is it gonna be taken out or replaced when you are done building? Love the videos have been watching since before the first bunker.

He is NOT a supervillain. He is just misunderstood. And the hovering cloud of cybernetic murder-hornets "allegedly" sent by Kyle Hill for a similar accusation against him have nothing to do with my statements.
