This is genuinely a game I've dreamed of playing since I was a little rat kid. So excited.

There is the old game from 2007 I think which you can play on the Nintendo Wii it’s the order of the phoenix game I used to play it every day as a kid and you could explore the school.

No multiplayer options either yet.
@Draiko Quidditch would take developing a full AI for all the characters, and designing engaging gameplay for each of the positions. They probably decided it would be too much work on top of everything already in the game. I won't be surprised if they announced a full on Quidditch game if this is a success
@Akhil Thats exactly it. They didnt want to put in a half baked version of Quidditch and it needed the full attention, not be a side activity to be viable.

All of this looks amazing! The castle, the characters, the magical beasts... absolutely incredible. They've even added peeves at 10:37 .

When I saw that I was just over the moon. I was always, and still am, a little disappointed that he wasn't in the movies.
Finally, we get to see more of him!
Literally, he felt more like an easter egg in Hogwarts Mystery. We get to see the other ghosts there too. Hyped for this game and what more it will bring.
I just finished the game and are now gathering some collectibles before I start over in another house. All I can say is the game delivered! Thank you devs!

I've never been more excited for a game in my life. This is the Harry Potter (ish!) game I dreamed about as a kid! The fact that you can use brooms to fly around the whole map is incredible, and the magic system looks stunning and very detailed. I'm a bit peeved that you can't apparently have a Ravenclaw companion (only from the other three Houses), though.
Don't over exaggerate ur excitement so u won't be disappointed when it's for sale

@John Ames Yeah but previous games seem nothing comparable to Hogwarts legacy. There is a whole new lot of places to explore and "real-life-sized" rooms for the castle which will be full of subtulities never seen in other harry potter games.

This seems extremely ambitious. Hopefully they have the resources and passion to completely polish the open world, and the multitude of systems that they revealed in this trailer.
Agreed, it looks bigger and better than I ever expected. I just hope they manage to fully implement everything by release, and that gameplay won't devolve into repetitive busywork, as often happens with current open-world games. Now that this reveal is out, we actually have something tangible to talk about, and the expectations will inevitably skyrocket.
I don't think this is extremely ambitious, it's an rpg, so naturally, there's loads of stuff in it. I do think that it looks ambitious to those who aren't into rpgs.
Flying Fists eh, I dunno. The game's main character(s) is/are children. Romance will most likely only be hinted at, but not an all out feature.
@Caedus tbh it could be part of the game as well, in the books harry started dating in book 5 (5th year of school, just as the game MC). Plus the other hp games from wb all have the romance feature. But i do agree with u that i don't think it'll be a feature this time, as they already said there's the "friendship feature"

This game looks to be an awesome game effort, I really like that they are setting this in a different time as a period piece game so as to avoid being a cliche. But wow the things you can do in this game... it's taking everything from the Harry Potter to the Fantastic Magical Creatures movies and making it really shine.
I've never gotten into the Harry Potter books or the movies so I don't know anything about it, but I might have to pick this game up when it comes out. Looks incredibly fun. Looks like a great game to chill out and sink a lot of time into

I hope that this game makes other developers think. This game is something people want. Even without the brand it has great mechanics. This game has been delayed but will come out finished and that's better than getting something unfinished. I hope AAA developers see this success and follow in the footsteps of this game. Because the gaming industry needs this.
This has the potential to be amazing and game changing, just hope they don’t let us down
Looks like it could be fun. With the changing landscapes, potions, mysteries, side quests, leveling up, upgrades, classes and all it looks like there's a lot of content. The fighting looks kind of bland though, which could take away from what otherwise is an amazing opportunity to experience the Wizarding World

I'm afraid though that some things don't look as epic IMO as they should/could.....for example no fast pace as you ride the broom or the hippogriff for example....I hope they just showed it like that to keep the anticipation exciting! the combats also looked a bit clumsy tbh......

@Dayzik I never finished it but in my 20 hours of play time I feel trough the ground into the void around 10 times, Game completely crashed 4 times and many other bugs. And the game isn’t nearly as big and complicated as the others. Ye the experience wasn’t that bad but really bad compared to the complexity

Doing something like this in an mmo would probably work as well. Since mmos when done well typically have a longer shelf life.

One nice thing they could add to make the playing experience better is to add an wand controller for combat like the switch joycons so the combats could be more realistics and way more exciting

Create your character, choose an element + starting village then explore from there. Maybe everyone gets a different animal/mount etc. Would be cool if the player chose participate in the war or not - enlist as a fire nation soldier, join a resistance and become a freedom fighter, or just live peacefully open up a fish market or something to avoid conflict. Just wanna exist in that world.

there’s literally so freaking awesome, i cannot wait. it’s like a cross between harry potter and skyrim- and i absolutely adored skyrim & still do! i literally can’t, i am SO stoked! i love the whole harry potter world so freaking much, and i’ve DREAMED of a game like this to come out. a game for me to laugh & cry over, a game that almost immerses me into their world. i truly hope it’s everything it’s said to be

All the music in this trailer, except for the Hedwig's Theme remixes, is just stock music, sadly. Somebody on Reddit made a playlist compiling them.
