Man there is really no basketball content creator like you, in a league of your own undoubtedly
Why are u here lol
Didn't know u like basketball
I Appreciate the kind words brotha, thank you! 🙌🏽
Seriously? The Nuke master himself loves basketball.
Woow iferg codm pro watchin Jimmy
"The lakers have a bigger chance of making the finals than clippers winning a regular season game" this killed me
As a Clippers fan, I feel this in my bones. All we can do is pray that the Boardman Android known as Kawhi Leonard can turn things around.
@Lord Albrus Trust, as much fun as it is to rag on the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is still a superstar. He had to basically carry this Clippers team considering the nasty performances from the rest of the team, and he’s gonna be y’alls guy going forward.
@Lord Albrus so there are actually Clippers Fans that aren't Lebron haters?
@Flaky Derelict Absolutely. Im a basketball fan before a Clippers fan, and theres no denying Lebron is a beast.
@Lord Albrus this may sound ignorant, I've been following the NBA since I was like 7yrs old (90s) but I've never really thought that there are actually clippers fans.. I mean isn't LA lakers nation?
Imagine being so good people could say winning a title doesn’t change your legacy
Compared to MJ it really doesn’t
He's so great he's chasing something he'll never be but he was close.
Haters going to hate no matter what you achieve. Same goes for this "Once in a generation player" Lebron James! We are a fan because WE RECOGNIZE GREATNESS!
He’s great but never will be greatest
@hoody hoo
already is and not even remotely close
"they don't have a superstar" Jimmy Butler proved he's a superstar
Yeah in the playoffs though not so much in the regulars season he needs to step up like the playoffs that’s why you hear players like playoff rondo
@Sterling Hewett bruh no you didn’t
@Sterling Hewett hahahahahah
Superstar had 12 pts in game 6. Not a superstar. He had 2 really really REALLY good games. But that was it. He can't keep that up.
@Oj Zero He average 26.7 pts 9.8 assists, 8.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals wile shoting 54% from the field and LeBron average 29.8 pts, 8.5 assists, 11.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals wille shoting 58% from the field (but Jimmy made much more risky shots), so the numbers are not that distants, yes LeBron has better Numbers but you can deny the fact that Butler and a hell of a series
Butler: You’re in trouble.
James: You’re in trouble.
Bronny: I’m in trouble.
My guy why are yall still on bronny this has nothing to do with him.cant believe yall still focused on a 15 year old so I'm a summing ur 12
@Dropthalo Bruh I'm older than Bronny. Plus shit is funny.
@Dropthalo fortnite kid
🤣🤣🤣
I’ll always defend LeBron because anyone’s only argument against seems to be “He’S nOt MiChAeL jOrDaN!” He’s not, and that’s fine.
I upvoted your opinion, I've been a Laker fan since i was born.. my only "quip" with Lebron, especially if you wanna compare him to MJ or Kobe, is I frankly haven't seen one game where Kobe or MJ leaves the game with time left..regardless if they were down 20 with 10 secs left.. 🤷♂️ to me that says alot about character.. and no wonder hes lost so many nba championships..
@Patrick Flynn there were many games that kobe left early. it doesn't show quit, it just shows the emotion of a player, they're pissed. nobody would wanna fuck w a pissed off lebron or kobe, that's for sure😭
Travis Hanks Jordan had one of the best players in the league on his team during his championship runs. The bulls made the playoffs just fine without Jordan. Lebron hasn’t had help of that caliber until AD. After lebron leaves a team they are horrible the next year. Lebron finally has an equal and will never get the respect he deserves cause old heads wanna feel nostalgic
Your Right He Ain't. Better stop Chasing MJ's Ghost
Travis Hanks he willed his way to the finals multiple years with the Cavs. Through his “stats” injuries or just when they had bad games/ series. When MJ didn’t have his god squad he exited first round. MJ is the goat no doubt but stop acting like it’s unattainable for Lebron. If he wins more with the lakers he should have a chance in the conversation. Not just shutdown by some old heads who feel sentimental
Thank you Jimmy. At first I thought this would be a shot at the Lakers title win this year but then I realized he was saying how this changes nothing on the scale of how Lebron’s dominance has been asserted into NBA history. Lebron could win more chips if he wanted but nothing will change the fact that he is one of the best players of all time, if not the best.
He's definitely not the best.... yet. Maybe if he wins more ships but for now MJ is the GOAT
T G All of us pressing X
@Biruk Tekle Personally, I feel like he only went back to Cleveland to salvage his legacy since it took a massive beating after he left. My opinion is that if he didn't get all the smoke for how he left Cleveland, he probably never would've went back. Of course there's no way to prove that, but that's just what I think.
I dont think the lakers will make it to the finals next year I think it will be the warriors
@Caden Desmarais
It has nothing to do with wins. It's how they conduct themselves on the court
"You don't just stumble your way to the NBA finals" Lol every "sports analyst" needs to hear that after disrespecting like every finals runner-up teams that don't look pretty on paper.
so true!!
i remember one of the commentator keeps on praising the lakers and im like "what about miami?!"
and i hate seeing those early comments about the finals being boring because theres no giannis or its not the celtics or they say lakers will sweep miami
Fr tho but we all knew who was gonna win. But still that’s not reason to disrespect the heat

Soccer is the biggest and most important sport on Planet Earth. Soccer is the WORLD GAME and is massive in over 240 countries. Every nation on Earth loves Soccer. Basketball is only big in less than 40 countries. Soccer is more popular than basketball in every country except the Philippines, Lithuania and US. I tell you this my brothers soccer will be the number 1 sport in the United States of America by the year 2070 A.D. Soccer will be the most popular sport in every country on earth by 2100 A.D eyfcw
@M dude i'm a man utd fan too. Yes its possible to be a fan of multiple sports and not just one and talk trash on all others. I mean yeah soccer/football is the most famous sport in the world but if someone loves lacrosse, let them be.
MAN UTD Glory Glory Man United. Yo slab head is screwed bro. We’re screwed. But bro, this is a basketball channel, by saying that ur just storing stuff up
This year's Heat were amazing, excellent team all around, very complete and harmonious. The Lakers did not find an easy series. The two best teams made it to the finals.
They really tried to flam lebron ring in 2020 cus it was against miami, why didnt we do the same with denver this year. Bron hate is just wild at this point
Read your bible! (KJV, preferably) ♥
Honestly the way Jimmy starts videos and makes them it is so well made. It keeps the viewer engaged and interested with legit stats and just a little opinions.
Read your bible! (KJV, preferably) ♥
Two of my biggest knocks on Bron was that he had it super easy when he joined Miami and that he only played against equal comp in the Finals because all the best teams were out West. This ring, I can't say shit about it because he honored his part. He made it to the WCF and the Finals. Wasn't his fault the Warriors were injured, The Clippers blew a 3-1, and the Heat blasted the best team in the league. He 100% eared this one imo.
Not only that, it’s the only neutral ring ever
You don’t get much better than a completely neutral championship
He’s 🐐 it’s not even an argument at this point
@Adam Johnson nah, IMO it’s Michael by far
You’re delusional if you think lebron is the goat and even more so if you think there’s not an argument to be made for Michael
@Delta Productions LeBron is the GOAT
If it was easy Wade and Bosh would have carried him in the 2011 Finals when he chocked and they would have actually performed like ALL STARS in the 2014 Finals but they were already injury prone and washed by 2013. The HEAT team is the most overated team ever, before 2012 they had no depth and after 2012 Wade and Bosh weren’t in their prime anymore, if you watched NBA the last 5-10 years you know that Superteam are overated, a team with 2 stars, great role players and a deep bench with great chemistry and a good coach -> Superteam with a big 3 but no depth and bad chemistry.
Lebron never had it easy, 2011 they lost the finals, 2012 down 3-2 against the Celtics in the ECF and had to play the best game of his career to go to the finals against another Big 3 KD, Russ and Harden+ a 2x Block champ Ibaka, 2013 they almost lost remember Ray Allen ? And 2014 the Spurs destroyed them they were just a way better team so how the hell he got it easy ? Just because you see 2 great name on the paper doesn’t mean that that team is better, the best team Lebron ever had was the 2020 Lakers and they only had 2 stars it’s a shame they broke the team and AD became injury prone if not they would have won more chips.
People that say that the heat aren’t finals worthy are jokes lmao. They played harder than any team in the playoffs hard beats talent when talent fails to work hard bro
Celtics would have made it an actual finals series. Celtics don’t give up and plead injury’s like the heat did in the finals. C’s will Dominate this year with Thompson under the rim. Look out
@Celtics20 i swear you celtics fans say this every year. yet every year you guys dont even make it to then finals
@Gustavo chavez We have a young team with no super stars. (Yet, ahem.. Tatum) but we still make great playoff runs. Only a matter of time till we’re in the Finals. This is the year
@Full Dexterity yeah that ain’t happening, Nets in 6, just don’t turn this into a year long discussion like David Mathew.
“How does it feel to win your 4th championship?”
Lebron: Job’s not finished
Bronny: 👀
"LeBELT James, with no regard of Bronny's life."
Bronny trying to get adopted by D Wade as we speak.
JOB FINISHED JOB NOT FINISH At Lebrons house: Bronny I want a trade
@JxmyHighroller awesome content!! Love your channel. Small comment- 4:05 a higher defensive rating is actually worse. DRTG is a measure of how many points the other team scores when that player is on the floor, so a numerically low DRTG is good (indicating less points allowed) whereas a higher defensive rating means their team allowed more points to be score against them when they're on the floor.
ik this an old video and stuff but it's kinda crazy how many people don't know how that stat works
@DredgePhantom yeah hes a biased lebron fan
@William Mal uh yea but what does that have to do with anything? ofc hes gonna be "biased" and its not like its a secret. this is sports, everyone has a favorite team and player.
It has to do with the fact that he misrepresented the defensive rating… are you slow?
I was looking through comments to see if anyone else has realized this.
LeBron likes to focus on a specific part of his game each season because he feels that is what the team needs. This season it was painfully obvious that this season was defence. He was scary this year.
man jxmy you're literally like the f1 youtubers i watch, but for basketball there is no one else who covers basketball like you and i love it
Maybe the strongest argument for LeBron as the GOAT is the sheer palpable terror Jordan fans show whenever a debate even starts. They're willing to hear Kobe's, Wilt's, Russell's, and Kareem's cases because they're confident they can present an irrefutable counterargument. But LeBron? He's doing things no one else ever has, including Jordan.
This was sooo dope.. such a non-bias take... you gave logical and statistical props to both LeBron and The Miami Heat. YouTUBE has made it possible for you to give us your own "First Take" :) Great Job!
"Of course, the job's not finished yet." I immediately see kobe's dissatisfied face 🤣
Dominic dominic Lebron James played in the weak East.
Kobe Bryant didn"t have that luxury.
Dwight Howard ( age 23 ) defeated Lebron James in the 2009 ECF.
And now he"s his teammate.
Kobe Bryant destroyed Dwight Howard in the 2009 Nba Finals.
I can hear Kobe saying: Fuck it I’ll do it myself
4:46 complains for a foul in the air finishing a layup.
@misterhouse
Kobe saying: fuggoff you fanatic let me rest in peace
HATERS claim the east is weak, yet > miami is the weakazz EAST *and* lakers are in the west
(the irony)
The thumbnail has seriously aged well....congrats to the Lakers winning their 17th championship in league history, this has truly been the craziest NBA Season of all time
The funniest part of this video was when Lebron was in Mid-air complaining to the ref, looked away from the rim but still made the layup! #Classic...That dude is something special.. The greatest player of his era.
I enjoy watching your videos because you break down the game with facts and not all that ESPN hot air. I also like how you did that comparison between Bird and LeBron walking off the court. The double standard in how Black players are scrutinized in the game by these non-athletic-Skip-Bayless-1.4-points-per-game pundits is ludicrous. I'm not a LeBron fan, but I have mad respect for his game.
Tbh lets appreciate them while they are still playing I wont mention their names but you know who they are.... LETS APPRECIATE THEM EITHER ITS THE OLD TIMERS OR NEW TIMERS they work they're ass blood and sacrifice their families to entertain us fans... And they inspire us to love and support the game... Lets appreciate them no need to debate whos the alpha male
Nice video Jimmy- love your content- keep up the great work! One note regarding Lebron's constant badgering of refs to get fouls. Yes it is annoying... however he is the victim of a phenomenon which only one other NBA player in history had to suffer (Shaq). They are both so big and powerful that many (lots and lots actually) of hard fouls against them are ignored simply because they are such beasts that they often look unaffected by what is actually a rough foul. Of course the whining can get old. However, I imagine they feel that if they don't constantly ride the refs, that they'll get the short end of many calls just resulting in no calls. Thanks again for the hard work.
I think the ring does a lot for his legacy. He's bringing a ring back to one of the most successful franchise that have had a decade drought, leading the team in his 17th year. You cannot understate that. Not only that but he proved people wrong by winning in the west. Funny how the narrative around Portland, Houston, Denver, the Clippers and the other teams in the west changed because people can't give the man credit.
love how people say without AD, Lakers wouldn’t be here. This is such a cap. bron has been amazing every year of his career. and he finna win his 4th finals mvp
@yoo ok well they didn’t have ad two years ago and didnt make the playoffs
where did AD get the Pelicans during the *8yrs* he played with that franchise 🤔
It does literally nothing
Lebron makes *NBA HISTORY* every single season
My favorite moment of LeBrons career... it's not the Block, not his 3-1 comeback, not his hard carrying of the cavaliers... my favorite LeBron moment is when he stopped In mid air on a dunk because the ref called a foul. Had me dying 🤣
Scoring 25 straight in the fourth quarter of game 7 of the eastern conference finals against the pistons was the greatest basketball that any player has ever played. It was literally 5 on 1.
Read your bible! (KJV, preferably) ♥
As a life long MJ fan who grew up watching MJ, Kobe, and LeBron, I hope lebron can grab at the very least 1 more ring. And if he can get 2 more, then there will be a never ending conversation on who was the goat for decades to come.
Idk y but I'm giving a bigger congrats to jimmy and the heat they were considered underdogs this season and they made to the finals and won 2 games that's surprising for an underdog
Thank you Jimmy for making this video to explain to the clowns some actual basketball knowledge
I must admit that I am a Lakers fan, and not because of LeBron, not even because of Kobe... but before that, slightly after a rookie was MVP of his first winning final...
This guy (LeBron) worth a lot... and if I have to made up my personal list of favourite player of all the time... I would like to put LeBron among with Kobe, Kareem, Larry, probably Tim... well. of course, MJ first! I mean the Magic one
"Of course the jobs not finished yet"
Danny Green: You're goddamn right
King J YOOOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Morris: you goddamn right green he’s goddamn right
@Bradley Beal it's called a joke. If you can't take it, you should quit the internet
King J lol it’s a joke, but for real people are legit hating on green. If you are a true lakers fan you would try to support your team, but these “fans” are like destroying greens confidendence. Lol I wouldn’t be suprised if green intentionally misses shots next game cuz he’s mad
this is what I've been thinking when it comes to these accolades. If you win a ring but you're not The Guy during that final series, it will really affect the goat status. This is one of the reasons why I put Kobe behind Lebron. Sure you have great teammates, but are you the one who's the best during that series. But still, both are goat players but I can say that they are not the goat of the goats.
Lebron is not only skilled, but he is smart..he knew he could not win a ring alone... he is good in choosing the best possible line up he can play with to get a ring... and he plays well with his team....
It's not about numbers and titles if it was for that Bill Russell would be the best ever, it's about how you do it and how you express basketball... And no one has been better than MJ in this.
This is why MJ's documentary was more compelling that watching this finals for example...
Always good to see Jimmy clear up all the garbage takes by haters 😂
This lockdown season reminded me the 1999 lockout (not just because of the "lock" thing).
Shortened season, finals between an excellent western team (SAS - LAL) and a surprising eastern team (NYK - MIA)
easy win for the 36 years old OG (Robinson - LBJ), teamed-up with a younger PF (Duncan - Davis)...
Spooky
Who’s here after the Lakers won the championship
Yep
Oh ya man
Yep
Deez
Yep
Great content, but my opinion on two things. First, Magic had an argument for FMVP in both 1985 and 1988. He averaged 18/14/7 with 2.2 steals on 49.5% shooting in '85 (compared to Kareem's 25.5/9/5). And in 1988, he was totally the better player over the series, with a 21/13/6 on 55% shooting with 2 steals compared to Worthy's 22/7.5/4.5 on 49% shooting. Worthy won that MVP on the strength of his Game 7 (36/16/10) where Magic had 19/14/5 with 2 steals on just 9 shots. He wasn't 'outplayed' by Kareem or Worthy in those years. Second, Tony Parker's 2007 FMVP is more proof that defense is completely unvalued in the NBA when it comes to awards (or at least it was until Kawhi's FMVP win in 2014). The only thing Parker did better than Duncan in that series was score (24.5 ppg to 18.5). Duncan had more rebounds (11.5 to 5), more assists (3.8 to 3.3), more steals (1.3 to 0.8), and more blocks (2.3 to 0). In a series dominated by defense, it should've been Duncan's win again.
I've always been taught that it is impossible to complain. If you have no power over something or someone, you can't complain. If you had power over something or someone and did nothing about it, you still can't complain. I feel Lebron follows this rule with the foul calls.
I must say, besides your basketball/sports knowledge alone, you've got a great voice. I hardly watch sports but I'm attracted to your content purely because of how your voice sounds. Thanks!
Since the start of the Playoffs, I knew that LeBron will win the championship. Anthony Davis is a really good center both off and def then the unstoppable King James thats turns into a beast during playoffs. Its just to hard to defeat a team with players like that.
Finally some realistic view on 2020 finals.. Respect to you brother!
Doesn't matter who is the greatest. Just enjoy the greatness.
Been saying this forever... why bring up the past when the present and the future is so bright. Thank you for this valid point
agreed 🙌🏾Lol everybody do too much trynna make their favorite player goat of something . Let’s all just appreciate what we watching now , what we watched , and what we will watch
I think people saying the Heat are not good was referring to Dragic being gone and Bam being injured and not playing a couple games (both two of the top players of the team)
No matter what Lebron does all mj groupies will say it doesn’t change anything. Nostalgia is a crazy drug
Man you are correct how does no one understand that LeBron's legacy is over and to be honest if you have been watching basketball for the past 30 years you know Lebron James is the best player in history when it comes to how players play in the finals. He has proved himself better to the wizards, raptors, and warriors as he dominated all three teams in the playoffs who many thought we're better than lebron. He also dominated players like steph curry who many thought we're the best player in the league at that point in history. People need to know that new better players will always be coming and you cant expect one player to be the best in history forevery
Would love to hear your take on nba toughness through out the different eras👑
Hey Jxmy I have a video idea for one of the biggest what-ifs in NBA history: Hang Gathers. Hank played for USC and then transfered to Loyola Marymount, in his best season there, he averaged 32.7 points and 13.7 rebounds, he was projected to be the first pick in the 1990 NBA draft, but unfortunately he died of heart issue.
Why can't we just appreciate that this man made it to 10 NBA finals
They’re hating bro, wait till he retires they’ll miss him
Because mj went 6/6
But he lost 6 times Jordan is 6 for 6
Because he can’t win
Frank Murhonyi
You ain’t lying.
That’s facts.
People don’t appreciate ish until it’s too late.
What a lot of people don’t realize too is that Lebron has played 260 playoff games in his career. That’s literally 3+ seasons worth of basketball, so he’s basically played 20 NBA seasons and is still playing at a ridiculous level. People also forget about all of the playoff series that MJ lost, just because they’re not apart of his 6-0 finals record. Idk why everyone has to always compare them anyways, they are both incredible in their own way and are both GOAT status.
Imagine dominating something so much that, every team you beat, people saying that they looked weak! 😂😂😂
He's the GOAT!
I do think LeBron has lowered the amount of times he complains to the refs so far this season but he still has some space for improvement in that category.
There’s always an excuse when he wins, people just can’t accept greatness you’ll regret it when he’s gone.
This video was beautifully done and is the epitome of the goat argument. Nothing he does will change much for either side.
The way defensive rating works is the lower your score in that stat is, the better. Therefore, LeBron having a higher defensive rating than AD means he's worse on defense than AD, according to that stat
this comment needs more likes
Logan Kandel FINALLY someone said it
Yeah Hoops fucked up on this part I think his bias finally got the better of him, Lebron had the same team last year and went 37-45, dude was playing golf during the post season. Without Anthony Davis they wouldn't have beaten the Nuggets.
@Anchors and Anvils studio Bro do you even watch basketball? Lebron got injured last year and couldn’t play, and was 3rd in the West when he was injured. Plus he didn’t have “the same team” last year, he didn’t have Danny Green, Dwight, Avery Bradley, AD, Markeiff Morris, Quin Cook, and a number of other players, it was literally a completely different team and significantly worse. Why even comment about something you got no knowledge on lmao
Lebron cant be that best at everything, hes not god, even pippen was better than Jordan at defense, rodman was better at rebounding, its ok to have help
I know this doesn't make sense from a purely statistical point of view, but part of what made MJ the greatest was how much he made people care about basketball. Lebron could win the next 3 NBA championships in a row and it still wouldn't make me care about him or the league. No one like that can ever be considered the Greatest.
Never sleep on a championship, we still feel that loss Bron took to Dallas. This Chip will definitely ring out
Isn't defensive rating good when it's low? (how many points your team allows with you on court)
He is an all time great top 3 for sure. That meltdown too Dallas is a big mark on his record.
He’s number 2 right now, soon gonna be number 1
5:05 the iconic "it's our ball... HEY it's our ball" moment 🤣
Watching your channel grow has been crazy Jimmy. You were one of the reasons I got into making NBA videos like yours in the first place. And watching your videos lately has reinvigorated my love for making videos.
Great video as always
Big kiwi in the house.
I’m confused about 4:05 because having a higher defensive rating means Lebron has a worse defensive rating than AD. Defensive rating is a measure of points allowed per 100 possessions, which means the higher it is, the more points the player is allowing.
Who else cracked up laughing at Jimmy calling out his complaining during a layup, then saw his mouth moving mid-finger roll and lost it?
Not enough is mentioned regarding the number of finals appearances made by a player. People talk about wins but just making it to the finals is a really big deal too.
LeBron is currently one of only 4 players in history to have at least 10 finals appearances. That's insane.
I just don't understand how someone can hold going to the finals against someone. So if you get bounced in the first round it doesn't count no harm. But if you make it to the finals and lose we start counting it against you. Lebron has been in the league 17 seasons and been to the finals 10 times. And most other seasons he was a playoff contender. That feat is incredible.
Good video but the defensive rating stat was interpreted incorrectly. Having a lower # for defensive rating is actually better, while having a higher # is worse (opposite of offensive rating). So AD's defensive rating is actually a little bit better than LeBron's which makes sense since he's a great rim protector and primary help defender so he will overall typically have higher influence over the team's defense. LeBron is still playing good defense this series, but AD has been more impactful on defense. LeBron obviously still deserved FMVP this series, that shouldn't even be in question.
After that performance, Jimmy is one hell of a warrior and a superstar if I’ve ever seen one.
Yeah he will be one hell of a Warrior 👀😂
Forget 3-6 or now 4-7 what will it take for LeBron James to be seen as the greatest NBA player of all time in the eyes of the fans? Because let's be honest what made Jordan great really is not just his achievements it is his style of play that got people so awestruck because they never saw anything like that before. So people translated a great style of play to be the greatest player ever. He is surely the greatest stylistic player ever seen.... especially when it comes to scoring the basketball.
One of the most talented and gifted players of all times for sure, but not the best to ever do it, it takes a lot more to get that title, when michael jordan came to the sport , he pretty much changed the history of the sport, he made the NBA a global sport, everybody started to pay more attention to the NBA when jordan was around, he brought a lot of money to the NBA, nba players were starting in movies he pretty much paived the way for all todays athtletes, there was an before and after with Michael Jordan, a couple of championships rings and records will not change a thing, MJ changed the sport forever and for that and much more he will ever be the best to ever do it... 🤷♂️
Those 6 Losses in the Finals dont matter anymore, ill tell you that. That 2011 Loss was BAD but we can’t keep holding it against him as if he can change it.. And its what motivated him to keep Winning Titles. He may Retire 6-6 but Multiple Rings is Good Enough. RESPECT 🏆🏆🏆🏆👏🏾 To Be Continued..
You said the narrative Anthony Davis has been playing "outstanding defense in comparison to LeBron" is false because LeBron has a defensive rating of 112.3 and AD 110.8. A lower defensive rating is better, a player's defensive rating is how many points per 100 possessions the opposition scores while that player is on the court- so a higher defensive rating would mean the opponent scores more while that player is on the court, so AD had a better defensive rating.
iiYewJinx Lmfao, I was just about to comment this.
iiYewJinx You're actually the one misunderstanding here. He said the narrative AD has been playing better defense than LeBron is *false* and went on to cite their defensive ratings, when LeBron had a poorer defensive rating than Anthony Davis in the finals.
@APaulogetic I was looking for this comment. Glad someone else noticed it too.
@APaulogetic lol, you’re 100% correct, he was 100% citing that lebrons HIGHER drtg was proof Lebron is performing better than AD on the defensive end. Failing nba stats 101.
DRtg is not an individual stat.
Man called a foul in a middle of a layup lmao what a goat
👆🏿😂
A minor error: the lower the defensive rating is, the better. AD has a higher drtg than bron rn in the finals
Facts
Jimmy out here lookin like a damn fool while still being insanely entertaining
Good catch!
@JxmyHighroller First time I’ve seen you get corrected, kinda weird
I have a higher defensive rating than AD
I mean, pretty much everybody already has him either at no. 1 or no. 2 on their all time list.
I have him on no 2. but I really don't see how his legacy could ever be greater than it is right now
A higher defensive rating is actually worse, though. Not disagreeing that Bron deserved the FMVP but you misinterpreted the stat.
Thanks... For a minute there I thought I'd misinterpreted it.
Just made the same comment. I am surprised that he didn't know that, given the quality of his channel.
yea i nearly fell off my seat when I saw he got this wrong
@Mike Durant bruh it aint that serious. xD
Wait what? Can u explain why a better defensive rating is worse
He is just adding to his greatness
Hey Jimmy I know this is an old video so idk if you'll see this, but a lower number in defensive rating is better, its points allowed per 100 possesions so ad was better in defense for the finals at the thime you made this
2 years later and i still think that 3-6 in the finals isnt as bad as portrayed, it just shows his consistency to be on top of the nba most of the time
4-6 now, which is great. Some people legit think it would be better if he lost in conference finals in few of those seasons 🤦♂
@fica11 no 3-7 which I'm redacting my statement💀
2:15 Shaq is 4-2 in the finals, not 4-1. He lost to the Pistons as a Laker in ‘04 and ‘95 against the Rockets when he was still on the Magic.
02 they don’t deserved that one
The refs were the mvps of the ‘06 Heat team.
@BoboBingus Hey man, don't discredit Wade's performance. One of the best finals performance I've seen.
He is 4-1 because when he was playing against the rockets that was the west conference
@Filip Smolej But the Magic are in the East. The finals are east vs. west. Rember
For me the truth is that the Lakers won the championship in one of the most competitive NBA seasons if not the most competitive of the decade. It felt as if every team was promising to achieve greatness.
Except for the Knicks, nowadays it's always except for the Knicks.
"3 potentially changing to a 4 is only validation to what people realised years ago" Jordan is still the goat
He won the title can’t take it away from him, even with a shortened season. *Spurs fan here* Timmy should have 10 rings thanks Shaq & Kobe
I wanna say some names Curry, Thompson, Durant, Kyrie, and Oladipo are just a small amount of players this season that weren’t able to play to there best ability this season due to injury. You can not tell me that if every player there if were fully healthy this season would have changed the way this season would have played out in a positive or negative way. Now I don’t like Lebron but I do think he’s a GREAT player but this championship does not matter as much as it could of.
You dont have to be a rocket scientist to see that Lebron is the greatest ever. The sport of basketball has evolved a lot since 90s. So many skilled players with high iq who can shoot. Im so glad the game is not physical like the old days when if they couldnt defend you, they would push and shove.
When the GOAT uploads before the game tonight
My dude! 🙌🏽
Dang everyone be watching Jimmy
2 🐐coming together
@Ballerz Highlights they all here for Jimmy's charts and graphs 😔
My 2 fav youtubers!!!
Until Lebron 3 peats, he'll be #2 in my eyes. But the more he does, the closer he gets. Him being #2 doesnt diminish his greatness, and there could be arguments for him being #1. But 3 peating is near impossible, let alone twice, after switching sports. People just can't talk about one without bringing the other down.
Winning a ring is good for anyone's legacy. LeBron is arguably Top3 all time, no doubt but considering Curry won his 4th ring in 2022, people can easily say Curry won more than LeBron in the same era. Maybe not 2 years ago but in 2023, having a 4th ring is good for LeBron. Rings wise, both Curry and LeBron won 4.
The video you just did proved just how easy this ring was. Numbers only matter to Lebron fans when it makes him look good.
Lebron James is one of the greatest players to ever play the game and nothing else even matters. This championship just helped to solidify his place in history. I still have MJ as number 1 but Lebron is definitely second on my list now...
Kobe?
Nehemiah Hicks bruh just cuz someone dies doesn’t mean they are number one, in my opinion there are better people than kobe
@vitorr what does his death have anything to do wit his career. I have been a kobe fan since I was young. Don't think I'm one if those ppl who hop on the wagon becuz som1 great died. Kobe as a player is better thn Lebron
@Ayedatsnemo- 04 Name one thing that Kobe did in his career that Lebron hasn't already surpassed...Kobe only has 2 Finals MVPs and Lebron has 4 now plus 4 regular seasons MVPs to Kobes 1. He has surpassed Kobe in every statistical category Points, Assists, Rebounds, Steals, Blocks, All NBA selections, All Star selections.. should I go on? I respect what Kobe did in his 20 year career but lets be honest... he's really not even in the conversation anymore. He didn't accomplish as much as Lebron has. Period. If we're talking about Jordan and Kareem then I would understand but Kobe does not have any of the accolades of the top 3 players of all time...
@Ayedatsnemo- 04 let be real the only reason Kobe got 5 rings is because he played with shaq
A champion is a champion, no one will remember how different this title would be in 10 years after, they will only know that 2020 NBA championship belongs to LAL
Lebron Search history: How to trade someone in the finals
hahah
I'm dead 💀😂😂😂
That guy’s Danny Green
Bruh this am old meme my guy.
Bruh
You could put an asterisk next to MJ’s 96 ring as well. Payton was injured and when he came back he was clamping MJ down. 98 you could argue push off, as well as horrible officiating in game 6. So that would leave MJ most likely 4-2 right there… but guess what? That’s a hypothetical, the facts are that Bron has 4 rings from 3 different franchises and won out the west, something MJ never did. I love both players, but hypotheticals don’t mean much.
Regarding Larry Bird, the Detroit fans were getting ready to storm the court. They actually did it before the free throws, and they had to be cleared off to finish the game, the Celtics saw this and decided they should get out of there. This game is in Clip-Share you can look it up for yourself.
Lebron walking off isn’t comparable, since he wasn’t even playing in front of fans
I feel like guys like Lebron had to make all kind of moves behind the scenes and pull a bunch of string and change teams a bunch of times to win titles. I like it more if a guy just stays with the same team puts his head down and accepts what he’s given and makes the best of it. That’s how it should be in life. So, granted it’s still not easy to win, but for me, his four titles are equal to two in my mind.
A year later I'm still wondering why you didn't talk about how the Heat had Bam and Dragic injured.
The fact that such a content rich video has only one flaw is outstanding, but as far as the defensive rating comparison of Lebron vs AD, a lower defensive rating is better, indicating davis has the better defensive rating, but just by a slim margin
I stopped watching basketball after Jordan retired. I can't remember what rabbit hole I fell down to get to this channel, but the narrator has got me binge watching day and night. Just wanted you to know your doing a great job and to keep up the good work.
I agree me and you both to much politics and it seem like nba now tv series no loyalty any more many players jumping ships playing for super all star nba teams smdh 😡
@antwahn williams then dont watch. this are era of basketball not urs old man
@Jayvion Williams I won't youngsta old school a lot better real basketball loyalty . This area of sissy ball. Lol 🤣🤣 😂 you have this era all youres
Zach Altif bro you must be mad or something or a picture nerd all I was saying the truth and speaking my opinion so you must got offended about it but it's all good man I mean I like the 80s on up to the 90s 2000 basketball that's just my opinion what I like I just think this new era they too soft I like the old school era when the players play hard and they play for the Love of the game and not just for the money and they didn't jump the band wagon to go to the other teams to make super teams I like the bad boy era when they made Michael Jordan better player when he couldn't beat them detroit pistons for them two years but anyway I read your messages man and I mean you trying to be a funny guy I get it trying to crack jokes and stuff like that and you don't know you and you don't know you but I'm not about to go back and foward with you on here like it's Instagram Facebook and your other social networks we just only hear to state are opinion on what we think and I didn't even apply to you I applied to the message of the other guy and agree to what he said you know you didn't say nothing to him about what he said but you want to attack me or my opinion on what I said but it's all good bro I'm not about to go back and forth with you man . You win you like era I like old era . Just being real with you on two era if anybody else read message agree with it's to many politics all about money 💰 and not about love that's why the ticket sales went way down before out break virus .look it up
@antwahn williams Why do old people always feel superior? 💀 Like fr, its a real question.
So we all just gonna ignore how lebron was complaining about a foul IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS LAYUP😂😂😂
I was hoping for a lakers vs celtics finals just like kobe back then so its a battle if two of the most successful franchises (in my opinion). But instead we got the heat, cant say im disappointed but i would rather have the celtics face off the lakers
I don't care how good a player is, championships don't come to those who can score at will and play great defense. The legends are the ones that make everyone around them play at their best. I hate to say it, but that seems to be what Tom Brady does best! Championships are won by a team, not a single player alone!
