Whoopi and Sunny’s faces when Senator Scott is addressing them is memes gold 😂
Hermano Chavez: let’s pray that Senator Scott makes it to Oval Office. 🙏🏽
Ana has me gagging too 😆
@Glen DanielsenI pray my prayer cancels yours out😔
I'll give Senator Scott credit for at least having the guts to have a conversation about the issues. Our Educational System was created to only produce employees Not thinkers
I would amend that as of the last 25 years too. Our Educational System has been created to only produce compliant voters, not thinkers.
I’m Canadian. We were taught to be responsible respected workers and find employment opportunities with large corporations with best benefits end results pension. My children required higher education. Presently they constantly travel and work remotely.
this is what rockofeler did back in the early 1900,s and here we are
You couldn't be more wrong. When our education system axed Vocational Schools for High School students this country LOST a valuable recourse for knowledgeable people to FIX EVERYONE'S SH!T.
They’re so dead set on proving him wrong that they don’t want him to even finish his point.
And he handled it with supreme grace. This man has got to make it through the primaries
I agree, I truly hope he does! 👍🏾✅
exactly they don't want him to make so much sense
If he makes it through the primaries, I’m voting for him over Biden
tim scott handled himself awesomely, kudos
Mr. Scott has a great presence he does not give off the gross political energy that so many other candidates do
We he don't speak against trump ? 🤔
Yes he is the real thing, I am not black but he has my vote
Disagree…arrogance personified. Don’t like him.
As a black woman, I have experienced racism but no white person has ever stopped me from achieving my goals.
@Monica Taylor Indians have the highest median incomes in America. Why aren’t Blacks calling them out?
@mustard ribs well said ….
Then you are fortunate that those racists were not in a position to hinder you. Not every Black person is so lucky.
I think what's really important to point out here is that even if you disagree with Tim Scott's policies, what people like him are doing now and on the other side what Pete Buttigieg did during HIS presidential campaign is that they are doing the important work of PERSUASION, trying to persuade the other side through dialogue, conversation, etc. I think that's so important for any healthy democracy regardless of where one falls. If more politicians on both sides engaged in this type of work, I think it'd be easier to reach compromises that would benefit more and more people and where people can feel like all voices are being heard to some extent, not just a few.
I agree with you and I'm a Democrat. I'd vote for him because he's smart and doesn't back down. I'm glad he put Sunny in her place.
@J.D. Contreras please be careful. I’ve watched him a lot. He’s against abortion. Unless you’re okay with that as a Democrat. He doesn’t think there are any institutional racial issues anymore. 🙄 He’s pretty much in alignment with what the extreme Repubs are pushing. He never truly addressed that.
@J.D. Contreras Tim Scott is a good talker. But his policies align to all Republicans. He still needs to pander to his base. He knows where his checks come from.
I think what Tim is saying is progression is happening and will continue as long as we continue to make it possible
Agreed. Why is he considered an 'exception' when he could be an 'example'.. 🤔
Tim said systemic racism doesn't exist because he a senator he is far from reality
@Harold Thomas I agree. He’s not seeing that we may have come a long way from in your face racism because we have rights and laws now.. And that’s why systemic racism still exist.
@Harold Thomas Give one real example of systemic racism. Other than Affirmative Action.
Their faces are priceless!!
Waw nice
👍
Nice
not a fan of them interrupting him most of the segment, let the guy talk lol
Wow
Tim is a great candidate. He is very respectful, smart, and well-spoken.
"Education is the closest thing to magic in America." Love it!
An equal opportunity is even better.
Public schooling is the closest thing to 1984 in America. Nobody should love it.
Jeez man, he politely asked Whats-her-face to extend the courtesy of not interrupting him...and she just kept doing it while looking at him like she was better than him. So rude. As others have said, I think he handled himself very well and I like his message so far.
Sonny went to a private girls school. She had a more privileged upbringing than 90% of Americans.
Amen
and she said that she is the exception?
I mean, but she already admitted that...
@startingQB so she admits she is clueless. She can’t talk about Scott’s experiences because she grew up in the 1%. Everything about her proves her racist theories wrong.
You’re making her point. You can’t point at her or the Senator and claim they are not exceptional.
Wow I loved this segment. Bring stats and facts. Not letting Sunny bring him down with her negativity. He never said that it was perfect but that it was getting better. Sunny - ADMIT that it is getting better.
I give him credit for going on the show and having the difficult conversations. If more of us did that, we would be making even more progress. For everyone.
he beat them Bs back down to reality hahahaha this show is so far removed from reality
@Accelement Wrong. He did not answer a single direct question. He came off to me as a token for the GOP!
@Greg Scott lol did you watch it he answered everything till they cut him off and ended the interview as they ran out of propaganda and his facts and view point of "its better today than yesterday and we should foster that instead of telling young black Americans they cant no matter how hard they try make it in this country"
It's hard to give him credit when he himself can't resonate with what he KNOWS the plights..... But will bend over backwards to be antithetical for his own reverence
Facts. 🙌🏻👏🏻💪🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸thank you Tim Scott
Tim takes responsibility for the challenges life handed him and the obstacles he caused himself; then realizes that his choices weren’t interfered with and led to his success.
I get it. I think most of us White or Black have experienced it.
God bless you Tim. I accept you as my lawyer and thank you for representing all of us and not just certain groups. Sorry; that’s New Racism and it’s unacceptable and won’t lead to anything good. The Dems are disgusting in that way.
Host: “systemic racism”
Audience: applause
😂
Lol bunch of sheep in the crowd.
Looks like a good time. Wish many political conversation is conducted with this kind of civility.
This is what happens when your narrative is blown apart. He wasn't having any of it.
Amen to that! I'm enjoying this. I understand and sympathize with what they both have to say.
actually the hosts showed that they can't follow their own decorum when faced with civil discussion that differs from their View. That only their point is tolerated...and right
He was civil and eloquent. Soni and the side comments and snickers from the other hosts were not. Thank you Tim Scott🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Scrolling through the comment section I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought that he handled himself very well good God how can anyone get a word in on that show
Huge Fan of Tim Scott. And he handled the unjust attacks from the Viewless staff with aplomb grace & humliliy !
Tim Scott gained a new fan 💯
Bless his heart.
This man is my favorite person of the day, maybe even month for being so gangster to this group, especially Sunny who always asserts to never be interrupted and yet she desperately tried to interrupt him
Dude went to a hostile territory and held his own 👏 👏 👏
Hostile? 😂😂😂😂😂
calling the territory hostile is quite an understatement
I respect him even more for that. It shows that he’s not scared to be in difficult situations unlike other candidates.
😂😂😂😂😂 you’re hilarious
I just started watching your you tube videos, and, I cannot get enough! I love the forum and thoughtful conversation amongst yourselves.
Respect to him for standing up after they told him to sit down. He had to do that.
The Senator is “BRILLIANT” he can actually win with that message in my opinion.
"Yesterday's exception is today's rule"!! That is complete 🔥 🔥
I guess the question is: how many exceptions do we need until we can drop the “systemic racism” talking point because I’m noticing a lot of exceptions.
This was such a fun and great interview to watch. Civility and no punches below the belt. I really enjoyed watching this interview
Sonny was not civil. She would not let the guy finish the statement.
Notice that Whoopie laughed when Hostin mentioned that she was the exception .!
Tim is a gentleman
He stood so so he didnt have to keep turning his back, he was trying not be rude
A very interesting candidate at this early stage. One to really watch rn
Amen Tim the answer is in the heart!
Sunny: “Systemic racism.”
Random set staff: “Commercial!”
Dnt forget the audience clap😁😁😁
Way to go sunny!!
@Rodney Mclin I can't stand her, but I do have a certain level of respect and admiration for her. She has turned "being oppressed" into a very successful career. Only in America can such a thing be achieved. Even whoppie built the foundation of her career on actual talent and acting ability. Jumping jack flash, ghost, star trek? Just great performances all around that had nothing to do with such juvinile issues like ethnicity or gender.
@Rodney Mclin it is not systemic racism it is systemic poverty/economic status.
Nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with how people act/behave.
Family is the core. Two parent households behave better, get higher education, earn more. This the *underlying* issue.
It starts with *PARENTS* learn how important that role is. Not the *GOVERNMENT* they can never care for your kids as much as you do!
This was one of the best political segment clips I have ever seen on the view.
He made some fair points.
It's difficult to listen to people try who so often act in bad faith try and have a serious discussion
he used facts, can't argue against facts
Not at all.
@Archangel Musiche did use facts, but only selective facts…he basically argued the equivalent of “ pneumonia isn’t at all serious for people with preexisting conditions because I got it and did didn’t die” Witch doesn’t deal with the fact we’re taking about the AVERAGE situation, not an exception. Dude literally got on TV and said he’s not an exception when he has a college degree and is a literal US senator…by definition you have to be exceptional reach that…
The reality is that we’re talking about averages… not personal anecdotes..and all he wants to talk about is personal stories….by his backwards thinking Americans(especially southerners) and overweight just because they’re lazy and it’s got nothing do to with all the fattening food that are allowed here in the states by the fast food lobby..and his evidence would be because he works out and constantly watches calories…we’ve got the dispel this myth that you get exactly what you’re worth in this world…there are some things in your control like mindset, then then are things out of your control and that can only be solved through collective action(a war, healthcare, big charities, etc) and then there are things that even collective action can’t solve like a hurricane from happening at all or a meteor shower
@JustaGuy123 so you're saying most blacks are stupid and can't do what he did? because he made himself from nothing, he wasnt born rich
Whoohoo to Senator Scott!!
12 minutes of a man keeping to his script and not veering off it once. Promises with a grain of salt
Love Mr. Scott. It’s about time we have some optimism on this show
Their faces are priceless!! 😂😂😂
Very true have no idea how much it cost to look like that
*Unfortunately, Scott NEVER answered the question about systemic racism in America... He simply danced around it by talking about individual anecdotes. Acknowledging some progress in society isn't the same as addressing racist practices throughout society! (SMH!)*
@Helloxons Fan I wonder what Nigerian Americans have to say about systemic racism in America. They seem to be the most successful group in the United States and they are black. Stop blaming the failures of the African American community on systemic racism
He’s right. We’ve come a long way baby ! Praying that in spite of leftist politicians that America will rise to be betterment for all helping to build the content of our characters never prioritize the color of our skins❣️
🙌🏽❤️🙏🏼🇺🇸🕊
Love you Tim Scott
I have respect for Senator Scott.
What he said about education is so true
I respect that he came on the view....i will give him that
I respect the View invited him on. He's nothing like he's been described. This man, Tim Scott is a uniter!!
And his clear, logical, sensible answers to the lock step leftist questions and comments? He conducted himself like the conservative gentleman he is. Give him that too. Systemic racism. What a joke.
How he go through all that and make it, got to love his story.
Qué importante es que se hablen de estos temas!! me gustó. mucho.
I've met Tim Scott personally, great man, great American.
I wish that someone would have asked him about Mr. CT and what he thinks about his behavior on the Supreme Court
Best example of why people don't trust main stream media interviews anymore :P
I wonder what would happen if there were smart people in the audience?
Nope. Only people that cheer when certain things are said.
I’d vote for him if I lived in America 🇺🇸 👏
@ropativ agreed
@ropativ😅😅😅😅❤
Okay I am living for Whoopi and Sunny's face when he said republicans are progressing aa far as black progress😂
I think this was positive and a healthy debate finally they are listening without interrupting aka “Sunny” plus I’m not a republican but I think I would love to hear more of what he has to say cause I think I will vote for him anything that is better than Biden or Trump! I’m intrigued by him! This was a healthy conversation I don’t see anything negative he finally challenged the one sided view on the view hahahaha
100% I'd love to hear more of him. I'm gonna follow him on social media
Such a breath of fresh air.
Tim Scott conducted himself remarkably well. It must be extremely difficult to have a conversation with a group when their contention is that systemic racism is the main cause of all of society’s problems.
No one said it’s the MAIN cause for ALL of society’s problems. 🙄
It's the cause of all the disparities in the black community, and it doesn't help America as a whole either. I know some people hate hearing that.
@incognitoyo. It appears that systemic racism is referenced regularly by some on The View. It was emphasized in Sonny Hostin’s question to Tim Scott and it was the last comment that she made after close to twelve minutes of discussion. The crowd applauds seemingly on cue at the 12:19 mark to Sonny simply saying “systemic racism” quickly before a commercial break. In my opinion, it’s divisive rhetoric. The Democratic Party also understands that it will secure the majority of black voters. Our president recently said that white supremacy is the greatest terrorist threat to our homeland. He said this while speaking at a Howard University commencement. The irony is astounding.
Maybe we can see more progress overall in black and brown communities if we start to focus on the skills needed to become politicians, Senators, engineers, doctors, lawyers, dentist, etc. We totally commit to athletics and entertainment and we win, and to me that means that what we focus on and commit to we have an opportunity to excel at.
Great Job Tim Scott!!
Tim Scott is too intelligent for Sunny, she is all about sound bites for applause and you can see she is visibly upset because her narrative isn't working out for her.
I’m not voting for him, too arrogant!
@glendavis1266 hardly. We have voted for him in SC, and incidentally it's less racist here than in many northern states where I've lived. He's far from arrogant. He is a humble man from humble beginnings. You must be thinking of the women on The View. 😊
The problem is here in Tampa, the good schools have NO ROOM. Kids are sitting on the floor in classrooms. They need to build more schools. Better yet also IMPROVE the schools and pay teachers more so you won’t even need to worry about school choice.
The crowd is definitely signaled to clap when the hosts make a dumb point 🤣🤣
I feel so politically exhausted. It's been a whirlwind the last 6 years, a political battle between the two parties and I feel fatigued and anxious. I remember the 2004 and 2008 elections creating so much excitement and much needed reinvigoration not just in my town, but in town in countries around the world to different cities I traveled to. I feel our politicians are a bit disconnected from what everyday people are struggling with day to day.
And not that Tim and Sunny's conversation is an important one, but I do feel like Tim speaking on his experience is distancing many groups of people. I guess in general, I haven't seen a candidate that excites even like I was during the primaries in 2020.
Agreed 👍
Well at least with Tim Scott he is talking about HOPE!! God Bless Tim Scott ❤️🇺🇸💯
@Lightworks I see it that he is actually speaking of education giving us hope for children and it’s so important . BlessTim Scott
very well said, I agree with you
As I hear Tim Scott talk I keep hearing Mr T's voice , I PITY THE FOOL 😂
Logic vs Emotion. Logic stood its ground today.
we have both for a reason
Amen
ok
This man is such a class act. These women are absolutely appalling!!!
Great timing on those commercial breaks😂😂😂😂
Tim Scott 👍🏽
Haha! This heated debate was some really good practice for Tim Scott. This is exactly the kind of heated discussions he needs to be embroiled in if he wants to become president of the United States. These are all tough questions. In fact, I was pretty impressed with the way he handled himself in the midst of all those women! 👌🏾
Im sure you were b/c he scurried away from the core elements of the ?'s.
@Dr K.I.A.hey wouldn’t let him finish, interrupting him and cutting him off for “commercial break”
What a way to disrepect a distinguished guest, what a formidable man, God bless you
❤❤ Love Tim Scott ❤❤
He just needs to ask his mama and papa if there’s racism in this country.😂
Thank you Senator Scott
I like this guy.
Man!!!! Scott had to feel the chill coming from the side of the table with Whoopi😅
She referred to him as black Tim Scott one time.
He held his own though. He’s not stuck in the past, he’s moving forward. Yes!
He is not very bright. His statistics are so off.
@STLrecon247 she's awful.
The view is a left show but Scott humbled them
I would love to see him debate Cornell West
I would love to see any politicians debate anyone, but will never happen because they will only look more incompetent
Cornell west would rip him apart
We're Not Hungry For #MAYHEM People Like You Sir !
Man he’s good!
I really liked the discussion
Loved this discussion. THESE are the authentic and intelligent conversations we should be having on race and every topic! PLEASE more of this!! 👏
Yes I hope they invite this man, Sen Scott again, the closer we get to the primary. He's a uniter.
The worst thing for these fear mongering liars is when one of the people they purpose to ‘represent’ and defend doesn’t fit their narrative. Well done Tim 👌
If he didn’t get through to these guys I’m sure he got through to someone watching
I like this man
Luv ya, Tim. U have my vote!
All those women just keep holding on to the past, and are so negative . We will never move forward with bitter people like them . He is so positive and motivating! It’s great. Keep it up sir !
I hope you're not one of the people that voted for Donald Trump. Because Donald Trump said many racist things
@Terrell Baskin yeah. Because words hurt and actions don’t right ?
Tim Scott 👍
It’s not a political issue its a human issue ❤ Loved that!
But human are making it a political issue.
He never answered the questions though! He is dishonest.
@OKORO CHUKWUNONSO how is he dishonest? He clearly doesn’t believe in systemic racism, but you can’t say that to The View’s panel. He knows to tread lightly if he wants the left to accept, or at the very least hear his ideals.
Whoopi looks beautiful today. Makeup and colors lovely on her. Senator makes very interesting points!
They use the old "rope a dope" maneuver when the answer he gave wasn't to their liking. You do not ask to get the answer you want, you ask out of curiosity, at that point your curiosity can lead to follow up questions once the time is given to let the 1st question be answered.
He has my vote
Sunny IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT 👍she IS a lawyer and observed exactly HOW it is from THE INSIDE!!!
Race hustler 😂
at the very end the one girl got a talking point in and the person off to the side held the applause sign up.
Such a gentleman. What a refreshing change.
He is, the most down to earth politician I've ever met and known!
I think he’s going to win, and he’s going to be the GREATEST president ever.
Love Tim Scott
Right now he has my vote if he runs!
Its all about the choices you make. I like this guy.
I remember in high school a kid dressed up everyday in a suit with a tie. Everyone made fun of him and called him Mr. President.
We need to just let people be who they are and want to be, without judging them or even saying anything at all because that makes people not make the choices they want to.
If black people aren’t getting into politics than you won’t have them. You cant just assign someone to be senator just because he’s black, he has to want that.
There was a group of black people who decided to own their own hotels, cab co. Grocery stores, law firms , schools and hospitals in their own neighborhood ... And it was a few of these neighborhoods , there some black people who owned farms and land and so forth ....they made those choices... The dvls made choices to ...they bomb their neighborhoods, stole their land , homes .....the dvls made a choice to show their perpetual hatred towards gods chosen, they made a choice to destroy these people and in a lot of ways have been successful... Some people call them Satan's children, some call them racist the Indians diagnosed them as having Wetiko disease .... The bible calls them "spittle" and our enemies ( 2nd Esdras 6v56 , Deuteronomy 28v68)
They are the devil the Bible speaks of! When will YAH put an end to this evil!?
No it’s not only about choices. You are disregarding the chronically ill and disabled
@Lovie Johnson hahahaha
@Jane Ruth Raphaelare you saying the chronically ill and disabled have zero choices in their lives?
