When you do things like this, you have to be very, very careful to make sure that anyone on your side of the fence are absolutely squeaky clean. Now that this action has been implemented, if there is a power shift you had better be prepared to have those rules that you brought in applied to yourself. And, if your side have not been a bunch of sweet, innocent angels in the past.....

My husband and I had an inkling that this inflation was coming 18 months ago, so we started stocking up. We bought large bins to start filling with canned goods and a chest freezer to fill with meat. The moment Russia started massing on the Ukraine border we doubled our efforts. We stocked up massively on anything we use, from soy sauce to tampons. Then we stocked up on things we didn't use, like powdered/canned milk and all manner of canned meats. Walmart had bricks of yeast on sale for $2, so I bought them all and put them in my freezer and just keep refilling the glass jar that stays in my fridge. I have to bake my own breads and treats, because I REFUSE to pay the prices they are charging at the grocery stores for them. We were lucky and got prepared, so now we can afford to just shop the sales. Very few families have that luxury and I'm really glad we had the money at the time, because we sure as heck don't have it now.

Why are people getting a mortgage of this size anyways?

    • Mike W.
      Mike W. 5 hours ago

They may not be aware of the size of the loan or the cost of the loan in interest. The sales person simply did not make them aware. Even a standard bank doesn't disclose 'cost of loan' when making either minimal payments or maximum payments. The difference can be alarming. What they tell you is the loan amount agreed to by the borrower and monthly/annual interest based on the type of loan, with or without collateral and risk. Some may have not even been aware a loan is part of the sale/renovation. Some may have been verbally told only the minimum monthly payments and not the size, interest or cost of the loan. Many people focus only on monthly payments.

Most of these victims are not competent , unable to sign contracts , none of these contracts are valid or legal .

    • Mike W.
      Mike W. 5 hours ago

Actually they are legal. As a person who is power of attorney for my mother, the legal definition of being unable to contract is by a written statement from an MD that she is unable to do so. A contract signed prior to an MD declaration of incompetence is still a valid contract. Many MD's are unwilling to do so, just on a family members say so. Failing that, the only legal way I know of is for a court to have declared a family member as legal guardian. I think a famous singer had that done. It certainly isn't you and I just commenting 'they are not legal'.

Wow, I say prison time for all involved in this rip-off scheme.

    • Mike W.
      Mike W. 6 hours ago

Rebecca, in some worlds, a verbal disagreement between people and the outcome is seen as 'the law'. It isn't. In the real world, the world of law, the signed contract trumps any verbal sales pitch, or verbal 'understanding'. Many don't understand that significant difference between verbal and the real contract 'law', until it's too late. That's the key angle these scammers follow but many of their victims are ignorant of. The world of law presumes you read and understand a contract carefully. If it's confusing, don't sign, or ask a lawyer to explain it before you sign. The law assumes you are able to do that unless an MD says you can't. Most of these scammers are within the law and won't go to prison even though your emotions wish they would. If you're the kind of person to click 'I agree" without at least reading, then stop clicking and do your business some other way.

This video is INCOMPLETE without a test for the presence of toxins and pesticides in conventional, organic and small farm eggs. Without that information, this video is MISLEADING and part of the problem. At least they acknowledged the difference in how the chickens were housed and treated. WHY did they not have the lab test for the presence of pesticides? I would have liked to see a micronutrient content as well for minerals.
