Wouldnโ€™t need any wheel weights or a balancer if you used balancing beads which are the best way to go for any tire.

There are pros and cons to this process. The pros are it dramatically decreases the chance of a oil pan's threads getting stripped due to the drain plug was over tightened or not torqued down properly, especially if it's a first time customer the evacuation process covers you as a shop. Also when the oil is evacuated you can see how much oil came out and condition of it, which you can show the customer. Depending on the shape of the oil pan and what wand you are using it could sometimes remove more oil than draining. It's perfect for vehicles where the oil filter is located on top and if you can remove all the oil from evacuation because you don't have to lift the vehicle. Cons.... where to start... it takes longer to evacuate then to drain, depending on the shape of the oil pan or how the dipstick runs down into the oil pan you might not get all the oil out as shown on this video. If the oil filter is only accessible from under the vehicle, you will have to lift the car anyways which means you might as well drain it if you know the drain plug isn't messed up or you did the previous oil change properly. This evacuation process uses alot of air so you will be maintaining your compressor alot and electric bill will be higher, depending on compressor and tank size. Maintaining the evacuation unit is a must . It does not work on every vehicle so make sure to look up what vehicles you can or cant do. I worked and managed a Lube shop so we did over a 1000 vehicles using the evacuation unit when we got them in and over 100,000 vehicles using the traditional draining process. Like I said there are pros and cons to this but with my experience traditional draining is still better. I was lucky to have a drive through style shop so we didn't have to lift cars when doing oil changes and we had great lower bay technician that has over 25 years of experience, so there was rarely a defect due to traditional draining. I hope this helps.

you can prevent it by putting a sensor on the methanol line to measure the amount of water then prevent the flow if its contaminated.
