RedCat was a popular video game serie in the late 90s in The Netherlands. The first two games were free gifts (advertortial games) by opening a bank account by a large Dutch bank (Rabobank). After that the serie was developed by Davilex Games, that turned RedCat into a serie of educational games for kids. More info on the Dutch game industry? Can any of you old school Apple gamers help me ID a game I played in elementary school (so this would have been very early 90s but the game could be slightly older)? It was a sort of choose your own adventure/ branching paths game that was text based but with illustrations since it was meant for younger kids, and some probably had basic animations too. It involved some evil purple wizard who sort of looked like Alan on the Smiling Friends (but purple and more pointy looking), and at some point you found a genie that could change the bad guy into a good guy and have him do good deeds (or you didn't and the game continued differently). Been trying to find this for ages!

I fondly remember playing Strider and Altered Beast Tiger LCD games as a lad. IIRC, there's no true end to these games. They were just endless loops. I can still hear the "audio" for Strider some 32 years after I got it. That's how much I played the thing. 😆

I have vague memories of a game with animation very similar to Treasure Math Storm but it's set in a TV station I think. And there are walking TVs that you had to freeze with a remote and solve a problem to eliminate that enemy.

Winkysoft had a tendency to put out some stellar OSTs. Denjin Makai/Ghost Chaser Densei's final boss tune is a badass cover of Eye of the Tiger which honestly sounds better than the Survivor original, and I'm tempted to say Macross Scrambled Valkyrie has the best STG OST of that entire generation, or at the very least the best on SNES.

Not really close to being accurate as many of these games were either third party or came relatively late (post-crash) into the Intellivision's lifespan and thus weren't seen by hardly anyone. The true games that defined the system were by and large the older games that were developed by Mattel between 1979-82. You did include some, like Astrosmash, Poker & Blackjack, Tron Deadly Discs, Burger Time and Star Strike, but I would've also included games like Snafu, Baseball (the original Baseball and definitely not World Series Baseball, for which one needed the hyper-obscure computer expansion module to play), Football, Bowling, Hockey (those early sport games made the Intellivision stand out from the pack back in the day), Space Battle, Utopia, Night Stalker, Sea Battle, Horse Racing, Lock N Chase, B-17 Bomber, Pitfall, Demon Attlack and Triple Action.
