Sorry...a tad too many behind the scenes folk at the expense of beloved performers (no Sorvino, REALLY??), and no, Kravitz was NOT the performer for this segment....the song was tinny and trite...this segement calls for a soaring orchestral arrangement.... The academy can't even properly curate the in memoriam list....yet ANOTHER reason why no one watches this dumb show.

I cried this whole episode. This show is amazing! As a survivor, i remember a certain woman sat with me hours after her shift ended while I was in the ICU. She was the only person that sat and held my hand without letting go. People like her are a “special” type of person and woman. I want to find her and thank her. Just holding my hand was the first step to my recovery. To my survival. What an amazing episode. Beautifully done.

There were a lot of comedic possibilities here for Melissa Schemmenti to have to teach an aide who acts like one of the kids, but I have to guess that this premise wore very thin after three episodes with her. In her second episode, Ashley Garcia said she has been to four schools in four months, and if I knew any better when I was thinking through that line in Juice, I would have figured out much faster that Keyla Mejia was hired only for a short-term job in Abbott Elementary to have a month of three episodes, and Abbott Elementary was her fifth school of the month in that pattern. In the month of October 2022, it was Abbott's turn to have one of their teachers babysit Ashley Garcia for the month when she became Melissa's aide for her 2nd & 3rd grade classroom. After her Candy Zombies incident got Ashley fired offscreen the day after Halloween, Melissa was so fed up with Ashley distracting and neglecting her class before, she eventually figured out how to manage her double-grade classroom on her own by Read-A-Thon. A couple of weeks after finishing Candy Zombies, Keyla Mejia found a new part in Laura Chinn's first movie, Suncoast, which co-stars Laura Linney and Woody Harrelson in its lead roles. Meanwhile, Abbott Elementary's writing staff could drop Ashley to focus on writing new characters for Leslie Odom Junior and Jerry Minor to play the next month. With three remaining Season 2 episodes yet to air, I think Ashley was too annoying and childish of a character for Abbott Elementary's writers to keep around after three episodes with her, and that is why she is just mysteriously forgotten for the rest of the school year, while Jacob's feud with the passive-aggressive Mr. Morton was more interesting and important enough to give Jerry Minor back-to-back second and third appearances four months after Egg Drop, which was his first episode to play Mr. Morton. I just want this show to end because at this point every relationship ends in either divorce or death. And I get that that is how it is in life, but this show isn't supposed to last a lifetime. It's a quarter of the way there though.

Yeah not watching this. I don't wanna tolerate nor normalize immediately fetching another lady when you just wrecked somebody else's heart. There are so many ways to get around it without hurting people. And 4 years? Just like this? No wonder she became crazy. He could not be man enough to end it with her when he's no longer seeing her as his future. He immediately jumps on another girl who "comforts" him (and yes, that is deliberate seduction). No consideration to give her closure at all. Not closing chapters of his life properly. No matter how crazy she was, she gave you 4 years of her blissful youth.

I'm sorry girl but public proposals are just not the way. But I get it, 4 yrs, wth. It's just that pressuring him and asking him for a "temporary yes" is just not the way to do it. But hey, that walkout!

This is the case in our household, but I and my parents do it on purpose whilst the two younger sisters always have an excuse for getting lazy and forgetting their mother tongue. And now with two brother in laws who are also not Kurdish, me and my parents switch to Kurdish whenever we don't want them to understand what we are saying. Like my dad commenting on one of my brother in law's weight or how the other looks like he hasn't been in the sun for 10 years 😂
