I play AQ3D. Its simple, fun, and not very pay to win.

I literally got this game the other day for an alternative to osrs, burnt out there and without sub ATM and honestly really enjoying this title. Would be cool if more people got into it and have some cool little updates. It's so hard to get people to play games that aren't movie quality GFX. I love games in this style.

Personally I have been making smaller games before I tackle something as big as an Mmo. I made an asteroids style game once which was part of an Arcade Sim.

Oh wow I thought this was a fever dream. I found this game as a kid but for whatever reason the textures didn't load properly, so everything was dark green and black with a grey sky. I'm not 100% certain they're the same games, but the walk is super familiar and they both have Sherwood in the name.

I've sunk some hours in this one. Made some friends on there which I've never spoken to since with my edgy username "KING-KILL" Good old time.

What went wrong? Long story short... shareholders, board members, etc... you know, retards in suits that think they know everything. In reality they only care about their pockets. Gaming attracted those fucking morons and they gave us micro transactions, paid dlc, shit cosmetics, all kinds of shit paywalls... Everything is a subscription now days... Just look at pathetic trash companies like Ubisoft or Blizzard. Completely ruined. 0 talent or creativity. Because they simply dont call the shots.

I play the game on occasion, just casual. I recall doing more with others in groups years ago. But, when you run a dungeon a couple of times and it breaks down 3 sets of armor just to wipe at the end, single player is plenty.

This game was great - I used to play it as a child and I'm so grateful that somebody actually bothered to make a good, easy-to-understand yet deep and complex game for children. There is an idea that things for kids don't need to be high quality because they're "easy to please", so a lot of new entertainment for children is garbage (mobile games, reaction videos), just things made by people looking to make a profit rather than a good product, whereas Wizard 101 was good, obviously it wasn't without faults and the heavy monetization was a bit predatory, but I still think it's much better than a lot of new things. I'm glad I played it - it was one of the first games I tried and it really made me want to play other games.

6:30 and this is why FF14 is garbage now if you've played since ARR or 1.0 you'd notice it got even more apparent in endwalker.

This reminds me of a really cracked out morrowind mixed with something i can only describe as "watched someone play rust ones and thought the idea of building endless shit was a cool"

It's not about what went wrong with gaming. It's about what's gone wrong with capitalism, or maybe, what was wrong with capitalism the entire time. When your society revolves around the accumulation of money, it is inevitable that you eventually see the degradation of civility in that pursuit. It may take centuries, as it has in the case of the United States, but given enough time any moral system can be corrupted, like a chisel to a slab of marble. The solution, of course, is simply for the populace to vote with their wallets. The problem is that no majority can agree on what is right and the minority is more than happy to continue in chaos if it means the ghost of the "status quo" can be imagined to be in place.
