I mean he got one title…missed the playoffs twice…knocked out quick in 2021…it was okay. Definitely not what they thought they were probably gonna get. But the man’s aging, and the team as a whole wasn’t what they thought it would be. Not a bust, but not as successful as Lebron and the lakers were hoping for.

I think Tatum did do a good job of playing on his turned ankle but, this is when you are either a superstar or you're not. Isiah Thomas scored 25 in the 3rd quarter of the '88 finals on an ankle that was many times worse that Tatum's. Thomas wasn't a decoy, wasn't out there to be a hero and invoke sympathy, he stayed out there to score and defend and score and defend he did.

  • Marcus Aurelius

Duncan Robinson cutting to the basket for a quick bucket was surprising. Game 6 he bricked two WIDE OPEN 3's. I guarantee the coach got on him. Miami adjusted their game to ensure they will win. Boston didn't. It's a coaching problem. When you're missing 3's you have to move up and get a bucket. Players don't always figure that out and if the coach doesn't step in it might be too late.

Can we address how Nick has retroactively erased a 3 year window where he trashed the Nuggets /Jokic over and over???? Lol This man has not once admitted he was wrong about Jokic. Not once. And yet we sit here today and since Jokic is playing well, he's very positive about Jokic and fails to acknowledge how he said Joker was the worst MVP ever.

The coach for heat been there for what 15 years? Players see that and fall in love with the heat organizations. Don’t know if hero like that “undeniably 1 leader” part but if he gets down with the program they be a contender every year well they probably still be seen as a underdawg

  • Slangnuts
    Slangnuts 3 hours ago

How is it necessary to keep Jaylen? The Celtics biggest problem is that their two best players are really just the #2 and #3 option on an actual contender… the Celtics need a # 1 and it can’t be a wing, dump Jaylen and smart and Al, find a #1

nick brings up the spurs as one of "those" teams that are related to the heat. reat culture, great coaching, and one undeniable leader. But then he mentions the 2004 pistions and the 2014 spurs as teams like this even through they don't have one undeniable leader. Love the show, but nick gotta slow down sometimes on the colin cowherd big picture story lines.
