It will never not bother me how D&D took what could have made for a whole season's worth of drama, action and character development and condensed it down to one episode, giving a hand wavy ending to one of the most powerful Houses in Westeros, with one of the largest armies at it's disposal that has been mostly untouched by the war. There should have been a struggle for power between Tarly's rebels and the Tyrell loyalists, there should have been new characters (like the missing Tyrells) introduced to wage that struggle for power, and if the Tyrells were going to be defeated, it should have been a victory that cost the Lannisters dearly and made the frankly laughable resistance they put up against Daenerys make a little bit more sense in context.

I can't hear a reference to metal in ASOIAF and not wonder how the Targaryians lost the secrets to making Valyrian steel. Not that they ever had it, they were traders. Selling a sword here and there in order to make a few bucks. But after The Doom? There's got to be a very dark secret behind making Valyrian steel that doesn't involve just dragons and obsidian.

I crack up every time I hear talk of Daemon's erectile dysfunction 🤣 His troubles in episode 1 with Lady Misery was from the stress of thinking he's being replaced as heir, his mind was elsewhere. As far as his wife, Rhea told him she knew he couldn't perform, or "finish" as a way to salt the wound of never consummating their union, not because he couldn't get it up 🤦‍♀️ He probably never even tried thinking if he didn't he could get out of the marriage. (More to do with the less than glamorous lifestyle of the Vale than her looks, I'm sure) As we saw, he clearly had no issues with performing for Laena and Rhaenyra and producing 4 kids.

I think Daemon has a preference for Valyrian blood, doesn't have anything to do with Rhea. In the books Mysaria is blonde and pale because she is Lysene therefore Valyrian decent (and possibly albino), all the women Daemon takes a liking to have Valyrian features, it probably comes from him thinking Valyrians are superior to everyone else and with Rhea not taking any of his bulls*it he probably developed even bigger resentment for her. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the Nettles storyline since she is so far from his taste in women
