The smartphone revolution came with a hidden cost. Tower climbers install and service cell phone antennas, ascending hundreds, sometimes more than a thousand feet. Nearly 100 climbers were killed on radio, TV and cell towers in the decade before the documentary was released - a rate that at the time was about 10 times the average for construction workers. Reporters at FRONTLINE and ProPublica investigated 50 cell-rela...

We're not all in it, I don't give a flying shit about my 401K, because I know it's built on a house of cards ponzi scheme. The best thing that has happened for the economy is the end of easy money, which was only ever easy for our ruling class. Inflation robbed far more from me, than my 401 will ever give back, as is.

Don't forget to mention the "green energy" wind turbines. Tons of technicians die while maintaining those as well. Not saying coal is better but still we need to look at the entire picture. Nuclear is safest by far MW produced/death ratio wise.

I e been climbing towers since 2000. All I heard in this “documentary” was a lot of people trying to blame someone else because the climbers weren’t following established safety protocols. If you are dumb, you are cutting corners by not inspecting equipment or using your safety gear, then your death is on you. Don’t try to blame the carrier because you are a dumbass and fell off the tower.

Awesome video! I was blown away by the recent economic data! There seems to be uncertainty over inflation and the U.S. stock market is at a crucial crossroads. Despite growing concerns among investors, the economy shows signs of resilience which could help Bitcoin remain stable. Interestingly, the crypto market, which is usually correlated with the U.S. stock market, has been moving in the opposite direction. BTC and the Nasdaq have turned negative for the first time in two years. However, with the sentiment changing fast now is the perfect time to get into the crypto market. Joelle Fradsham's excellent trading strategy has helped me amass 32 btc in the three weeks that I've been trading. In this field, she is a true visionary.

What about seeking the help of Jesus? There is a reason she is so uncomfortable because her parents have not guided her in the path of the TRUTH. Kids want to do all kinds of things to make them happy or feel happy but that doesn't mean we just let them. It is our jobs as parents to guide them to Jesus. These children will never be truly happy because they are told that God made a mistake and this simply just is not true. I pray for these families to see the TRUTH one day.

I watched this guy climb up 1000+ ft to change the bulb at the top of the tower. Took hours and a lot of balls.

What a shining example of American corporate ingenuity. Step completely away from any liability by using contractors who use sub-contractors who hire more subcontractors. The end result: 10 bucks an hour for the person actually responsible for keeping the profits rolling. This is the sort of corporate behavior you'd expect in China. Russia. What's next? Offering people early release from jail if they sign on for 3 years and 8.50 an hour? OSHA proves it's a paper tiger and has no say in how any corporation operates, good, bad or indifferent. American corporations prove again they define the terms greedy and selfish to the extreme.

You can have all the safety rules you can think of in place... but at the end of the day, the men carrying out the work on a site are individually responsible for their own safety and the person in charge on that site is responsible for enforcing safety standards on all workers on that site . The linemen safety manual is written in blood and you disregard the safety rules in it ,at your or your workmates peril It is now illegal to free climb a tower of any kind and the workers face instant dismissal if they do it in all western countries I's a very dangerous job

NO NO NO Rules should be laid down either by main government or state government. Any person caught without tie on to be fined $1000.00. Company employing said person £500,000 fine. more than two fines companies to face weight of the law with LIMITLESS FINE./CANCELLATION TO TRADE (UNFIT ) OR BOTH. Health and Safety in thee EU as an example. These companies know and dont care, so should be MADE to CARE. Seems to me companies can do as they please in America.

It takes a serious level of skill and gumption to be up at that elevation delivering a job well-done...Michael's death was saddening, but it definitely shed light on a shadier side of the Business when it comes to the TURF Contractos, Deadlines, and makes me now think of how devastation and dangerous the 5G push has been as of late...what a well-done Documentary Frontline.
