This is such a German thing really. If I asked a French person they could spend an hour saying the same word in different sentences just to get my pronunciation right if I let them.

For native English speakers it is not so hard to speak the ä most native English speaker use an ä everyday like:„name, fame and lame…“ the a in the words most English native speakers spell it exactly the same like an ä sounds in german/deutsch 😅
